Thanks for the kind words :)

Believe me the ring is probably my top favourite track in the whole game, i've spend many laps on it with GT5.

I dream of getting to drive on the real ring once in my lifetime, though i'm still too young at 18 years old ( turning 19 in may ) to be allowed to get on the track. Also i would eventually have to travel to Germany too :P

For me it's going to be a lifetime experience since this track was at the top of my attention ever since GT4 👍

Yeah it is a legendary track IMO, hope that someday you get the chance to drive the ring

I hope you two (and others too) can make it to drive at the Ring, it´s an awsome experience :)
Been there twice myself. Been bitten by the bug, and hope to go there next year again. Have to save up some money though, it is an expencive thing.

Have slightly improved my time. Have a lot to go on, just need to string it together. It´s so easy to loose time. Just a simple mistake and you loose seconds.

A little off topic, but what car did you drive round the ring in when you went there?

We rented a VW Scirrocco. (http://www.rent-racecar.de/english/prices/index.html) There are several car rental companies in the area. Great car :)

The diffrence is that arcade cars are equal. Cars from your garage can differ in hp. :)

10:05 as my best lap. One of my buddies made a 8:50 with the same car. The last trip was in summer 2010 and a lap costed 15 euros (about 12 pounds?)
Now I see they have increased it to 26 euros :(

It´s a lot indeed.
All together I have 24 laps. When renting the car, you have a 250 km limit for a full day. That equals 12 laps of the ring. It is very exciting and exausting to drive there, so in a way that amount is almost enough. Almost :)

An early best and not a particularly good lap, a few little untidy bits and I completely missed the braking point for Kallenhard ending up crawling around the outside at 50... plus I need to work on the Hohenrain entry too, so frustrating when you ruin your lap there :mad: That happened in both of the two laps before I set this one, so I took it a bit nervously.

I put 2 quick laps in last night and set a red 7:49 with a really messy lap, so I think there's a lot more in it for me, I'm aiming to take at least 5 secs off.

The first lap(s) where nerve wrecking :scared:
I knew the track layout from GT4, but it was totally different to drive there in real life. It was a day filled up with cars and motorcycles. I was being passed by a faster car (Porsche GT3)so I stayed to the right and waited until he passed me, and was about to go in behind him. Suddenly I heard a horn. Didn´t see the little Mini coming right behind him :dunce: Nothing happend, but it gave me a scare.

One lap at 7'42.6 was enough for me... balance was disappointing. Have at it you guys, I know you'll do better :)

Fairly much on it from start to T8, but made a few mistakes from then on to the finish, although my last sector was sublime, 7'30 is reachable with incredible rhythm and commitment.

Thanks for the vid 👍 Will try this at some point, but since I last drove gt on March 11th, will be close to impossible to get really close to that I bet. I'll try to beat Mike though.. :P
