Hi guys, welcome to the first fortnight of the driving skill competition. This is a fortnightly competition where driving skill is everything. Each week a stock car and track is chosen the car CANNOT be tuned or modified in anyway as to give an advantage over others.

This week is the TVR Tamora at the infamous nordschiefle at nurburgring and tyre choice is SPORTS HARD. All aids are to be turned off except ABS on 1. Transmission choice is down to you.

Brake balance can only be adjusted if you are driving with ABS off, if you are using ABS on 1 you must keep the default brake balance.

This is an offline competition and you can do anytime, just choose the car through arcade mode then select the track. Everybody Is free to enter.

Please send in your best lap time stating whether you used ds3 or wheel (lap must not have gone red).

When sending your times in please could you use the following format:

Driver: GTP name/PSN name
Time:
Transmission: Auto/Manual (if manual state whether clutch used)
Controller: DS3/wheel
ABS:
Brake Balance: Front/Rear (only applicable if ABS is off)



After the huge success of the constant running WDSC (weekly driving skill competition) it would be great to get as many people racing this fortnight. So get out on the ring and have fun!

You still don't mention it HAS TO BE ARCADE MODE CAR and not your own car in Arcade mode!

*wonders if everyone has been using Arcade cars in previous weeks?*

I dont doubt that, seeing the 'WRS div 1 gold' in your sig it's understandable. although I am wondering if that was a perfect lap. Over the ring I expected to be more than 12 seconds off the 'alien' pace :lol:

wow great to see all the amazing lap times coming in! Also it is really awesome to see all the responses and positivity about the competition, if anybody has any ideas on how it could be improved please send your suggestions in as it isn't a fixed format and is open to change! 👍

It was not a ''perfect'' lap, but i was happy with it, id need more time to nail every corner the way id like to, in this lap i missed some apex near the end, before the long straight, id say theres a 7:37.xxx in it.


the car has understeer on braking and oversteer on throttle wich require sometimes to get used to it, it just need the right braking point to not miss the apex.

7:49 is still fast, the previous laptime set with this car on the nurburgring leaderboard was 7:44 by Andy89.

Going to try now, I know the ring pretty well (Golded all AMG specials with seconds to spare) so looking forward to it!

Thats a good time, it handles great considering its on only SH tyres!

There's a few seconds left in it, but I only ran two laps, I'll run some more later on, I can expect a 7:46.xxx with more practice. The car handles well when it isn't understeering like an oil tanker.

Did a few laps but couldn´t make a clean one. I did one full lap, but got it red at the end. 7:53.xxx. I´m aiming at sub 7:50

Also no1pal this week we see who's king of the ring! Good lap though, i'm aiming for sub 7:50 as well!
 
I gave this a shot, wiped out my first 2 tries then finally got around fairly cleanly for a 7:56. I've realized I'm pretty fast on the straightaways but bad at the twisty parts. :D Even when I race the AI, I've noticed that once we get past the carousel I have a hard time catching up to anyone until the final straight, lol. I wonder if using auto transmission is just too slow for this.

Some more sub 7:50 laps coming in! Well done everyone 👍 might not be giving this another try for a few days, might try doing some more a spec as I've only done 3 events in the beginner series, like the wind and one endurance :P despite my a spec being 35!
 
Heres a video of the Tamora, i will probably give it another try later at the end of the week, after watching it i can see some area to improve.

Had a second go today and improved the time, i think i could shave 1 more second off, but that would require quite some luck :)

7:31 not possible unless srf is used or stickier tires :)
