There are some great laptimes you guys have put in this week. Keep up the good work:tup:
I'm going for a last effort tomorrow to see if I can improve my time :)
Oh, and I agree about keep it within the OLR

The very last part ugh. lol but yeah great fun and yea can't wait to see if anyone hits 1:24.xx

Edit: gratz ray got 1:24.610. wow.

I don't think u got my time, and you usually don't go back, so here it is xD

Instead of "online" think of them "GTP organized". Better?

Sure. I still think it's a lot simpler (and thus easier to abide by) if it were just "no red times".

If running over the cement, or on the grass makes a lap ineligible, my times should be stricken from this week.

Maybe I'll try this one again with the stricter rules. I'll probably just wait for a track that makes things easier, though.

I thought I was finally doing pretty well in one of these, but it turns out I was cheating. That kinda stings.

The leader board isn't available through the droid GTP app. Open the first thread in this app and then open the browser using the menu button.

arcade car in arcade mode, no cement, 2 wheels on racing surface at all times, entire lap according to the GTP rules. 1:24s is possible still i believe. i cant get all 3 good segments together.

Still very fast laps 👍
Even with cutting I was only at a 25.0...
I'm just happy to know I'm in the same time zones as your laps.

The problems are: 1. This is offline racing. OLR is online racing. 2. Even if OLR did apply, LMP said specifically the rule is no red laps.

Yes, I think it was set up to be as simple as possible to attract and keep interest, and to avoid the need for loads of admin and policing. Of course it relies on people being honest but really there is little point in cheating. Above all it's a bit of fun that doesn't need to get bogged down with lots of rules IMO.

I would say this competition should go by the guidelines of

Red = invalid
White = clean

That way everybody can not have to worry about 2 wheels on the track or whatever. Just seems simpler and fairer to me.

Anybody got a combo for week 9? Thanks

Had another go finally. Managed to break :28, but I'm still slowest. Ran a cleaner lap than before, on the stupid line instead of over it. I think you know the spot, where it jumps out into the middle of the track for no reason, almost as if it's making room for a shoulder on a public road. I need to make more time for these, I enjoy this car but I'm just not fast. Not that I ever am.

The OLR mentions offline racing. Due to the event being hosted on GTPlanet, every event has to comply with the OLR as well as no red laps.

I think it is against the site rules briefly going through the OLR. This event you can gain a lot of time if you don't follow OLR rules which will make it unfair for people who follow the site rules.

thanks buddy. You are also very fast. It would be fun to do a couple of races with everyone. There would be some stiff competition and close racing!

Well depending on the verdict of which rules apply. I made times for both just incase! 24.6 and 25.3

I think this track is fun because in order to go fast, most of these turns have super late apexes. hugging entire apexes here will slow you down. Give up. 3 secs on setting up for the late apexes and gain. 6 on theses long uphill Straights. Hope that helps some people.

I think close to my limit would be around the mid 24's. Alien territory might be in the 23's. I think my lap is currently the fastest that abides by OLR?

RAYzRAYz, you seem quite fast, will you be participating in GT Academy?

That's damn quick! I'd love to see a video, if you have one.

How about something really different, like a FF car on a short track? Maybe Autumn ring mini?

I was thinking along these lines too. Golf or Megane are higher powered but perhaps the Peugeot is a bit more agile? A different pace, and a different challenge.

How about peugeot 207/ elise 111r on comfort tyres at autumn ring mini? Sound good people?
