Hi Fame, thanks for adding my name to the list...
A thing we used todo on "RaceDepartment" was:
eg. we had 100 ppl (all a part of, and some diff. teams, x' y' z') and we'd all do a qualifier - whether it be timed or flying lap.
So... all the times we're posted from fastest to last.
Then, they would make 4 groups, (because 25 a server)
Grp1 - top 25
Grp2 - 26th - 50th
Grp3 - 51st - 75th and so on...
What this meant, was that all the fastest drivers were competing against each other (some on the same team, some from different)- likewise, the slowest drivers were evenly matched with ppl on the same skill level. Again, some on the same team and some from different. (so you could have six drivers of the same team competing in six different Grp's)
Team battles would obviously be different though, i would take it.
So... if, (i say if) we were gonna have say teams or groups of six,(depending on bw) everybody does a qualifier - and only the top six go into Grp1 - 2nd six into Grp2 - 3rd six and so on...
Everybody then has a chance of winning points for their team no matter what grp they're in.
We used todo this for every league event and this way the Grp's were always changing along with leader boards(^v) because ppl were getting faster. plus @ some circuits the fastest guys that qualied for nordschleife sometimes fell into Grp 2/3 for Monza/Spa/Macau etc.
Justa' thought mafrien' to keep a good commpetitive level for all.
ps. obviouly you would need to revise the figures i put down, but you get my drift...
