Also think league deserves a name and maybe a club. Any suggestions?

something clear and awesome, that gets across what we're about.

League of Logitech's :)
Yeh... that would be cool.
This would maybe also tell ppl what we're about "League of Gentlemen Racers" :)
This hopefully would also let the other not so friendly/unfair ppl on track know, that they're not welcome nor won't be tolerated.

The Professionally Organized League Intended for the Truly Elite, aka POLITE.

Hello,

I just got my copy of gt5 on Sunday and wanted to let you know that on my G25, I do not have to push triangle at the beginning of each race to make the clutch work. I've read reports that you have to do this, like in GT5 Prologue. I have not had to hit triangle and my clutch works every race.

Add me please.

PSN: Asane

when I went through the list earlier It said that your friend list was full and you couldnt take any more friend requests. (psn im talking about).

You might have to delete some people on your friend list, I think the limit is 100 max.

K,
Have my wheel stand pro on its way :),
Also, found a deal on the G27 but not sure If I should jump on it right now.
Over at Electronic Expo, use coupon code RETAILMENOT and you can get it for around $245 bucks.

Anyways, just though I'd throw that out there for those without one yet.

I think a good name for the league would be the "GTPlanet Intercontinental League":)

ok guys will be updated the front page with everyones PSN sorry for the delay been really busy, Also at some point tonight I plan to post the draft for the point system and structure, feedback will be needed so this league is as enjoyable to as many people as possible.

Ok just read through the comments and added all the players.. the question I can answer now about the numbers is I don't think their will be enough for Australia or Hong Kong only leagues, We will have to see what time zone you guys best sync up with when you are playing the game. What I do know that their is definitely enough for one US league and 1 EU league. Possible two EU leagues I have to go over the numbers again. I will set up all the league pages but I would like someone else preferable from Europe to run that leagues thread. Both leagues will be set up Identical just due to different times I think someone from EU would be able to run it better.

With a total of 95 people as of yet it seems that two leagues, one for Europe and one for US both with 6 teams 8 members each is the best route to go. It would get us closest to our total number. Events would be structured with 3 teams competing at a time, 4 racers from each team. this will give the teams some ley way when people aren't online to race. Of course this would all change if the lag is just to much but we are going to hope for the best.

Their will be 2 scoring events a week, if needed we can bump it up to 4 so all teammates have the op to score but going from other online experiences I've had, their are always times when you can't get the whole squad together on a certain day. So the number for events will fluctuate from 2 to 4 scoring events a week. All other events can be organized as the teams see fit, so if you want to do some one on one leader board racing just make sure you let the league commissioner know so they can update the leader board. The team scoring events points will be counted as follows:
1st- 8 points
2nd- 6 points
3rd- 4 points (the first three places will be the money spots)
4rd-6th-3 points
7th-9th- 2 points
10th-12th-1 point

Don't get to caught up on the numbers they can be adjusted, the structure is what I what everyone to see. Obviously placing in the first three spots gives you a leg up but I want the teams effort to be stressed more. So if your team only has a 1st place finisher, but the rest of the team finishes at the bottom, chances are your team won't win. We may need to adjust numbers to get a more solid flow going but this is just a starting point.

What I see the Individual leader boards looking like is something like this. Every racer in the league can race another racer in one on one, possibly more racers (this is a concept I having put to much thought into) races that can be done anytime. All you have to do is agree with the racer that it is a ranked match and let the person updating you league page know the results. Points will be then updated on a leader board to show who currently has the most points. This wont be something that will be available right away, I want to get the team racing thing down first. But this will allow people to race more then once a week for points.

The car showcase will be just a weekly review from a driver and his car of choice that week. Photomode or replay mode pics will be posted and a brief review of the car would also be needed along with a recommendation of the car. These will be sorted in a sub thread on the main thread page and every month be voted on best photo, best review. Just something a little extra for the league.

The other Ideas for the free race and race reviews will all have a place on the original thread post, sub threaded just like the car showcase.

That is all I got as of now folks, suggestion would be greatly appreciated. This all depends on the network and what PD will give us to work with but I think this bare bones core should be able to be implemented. This is a large undertaking we are trying to accomplish so please be patient There will be hiccups along the way but I feel once it gets running smoothly, it would add so much more to the experience.

On a side note if I missed anyone's name up to this point in the thread, that doesn't mean you aren't in I just over looked you. So send me a PM let me know If your PSN is different or I forgot to put you on the list.

Fame_Mcswagg, great job! Very Well Organized, and I'm very excited to get this thing going. My psn is nerfgunner. If you need any help setting this up, pm or email me at fortino555@yahoo.com .

Thanks,
Eric

I definitely will be taking you up on that offer. I will close new sign ups until next week tonight around 10PM central time so I can actually get this team list sorted out. I will need help with that. So if anyone doesn't get their name on a list tonight their will still be time to sign up and get on a team, just not till next week this week no stat recorded events will take place.

I play with the G27 and clutch. I'm not very good =) I had a heck of a time finishing the S Class races in Prolouge, but would love to race with other G2x users.

Will be drafting the league with teams tomorrow need Someone to be commissioner of the Euro league.
Hi Fame, thanks for adding my name to the list...

A thing we used todo on "RaceDepartment" was:

eg. we had 100 ppl (all a part of, and some diff. teams, x' y' z') and we'd all do a qualifier - whether it be timed or flying lap.

So... all the times we're posted from fastest to last.
Then, they would make 4 groups, (because 25 a server)
Grp1 - top 25
Grp2 - 26th - 50th
Grp3 - 51st - 75th and so on...

What this meant, was that all the fastest drivers were competing against each other (some on the same team, some from different)- likewise, the slowest drivers were evenly matched with ppl on the same skill level. Again, some on the same team and some from different. (so you could have six drivers of the same team competing in six different Grp's)
Team battles would obviously be different though, i would take it.

So... if, (i say if) we were gonna have say teams or groups of six,(depending on bw) everybody does a qualifier - and only the top six go into Grp1 - 2nd six into Grp2 - 3rd six and so on...

Everybody then has a chance of winning points for their team no matter what grp they're in.
We used todo this for every league event and this way the Grp's were always changing along with leader boards(^v) because ppl were getting faster. plus @ some circuits the fastest guys that qualied for nordschleife sometimes fell into Grp 2/3 for Monza/Spa/Macau etc.

Justa' thought mafrien' to keep a good commpetitive level for all. :)

ps. obviouly you would need to revise the figures i put down, but you get my drift...

An idea you could implement for the individual leaderboard:

Maybe you can set a quota on the number of One on One races a racer must meet during an entire season. So, for example, each racer must participate in 20 One on One races in one season or the racer must participate in 2 One on One races in a given week. Also, for the entire season, that player must have raced against 3 racers from each team in that league. (numbers subject to change of course)

Just for clarification, will there be 2 leader boards?? One for individual and one for team??

I'm not sure if it has already been mentioned but my GT5 arrived today and I use a G27. Clutch works without pressing triangle. Led rev lights works. Flappy paddles work. Happy days!

Yeah, i'm pretty sure it was posted earlier from another user/users. But hey, still good to hear it again and i'll take that as an absolute confirmation.
Thanx for the info's mafrien's...

Hello,

I have a G27 Wheel and I have some questions about show it works with GT5.

Everybody knows that GT5 Prologue and GT5 dont have "official" suport to G25/G27 Wheels, but they work fine.

But in GT5P I always have to change gear in the gearbox, the paddle shift doesnt work.. Does anyone knows if it works on GT5?

One more question... What is the "best" button configuration for G27 into GT5?

thanks
