I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving, If you were in the US. I have updated the team page and it is now located in the OP. I am in the process of making the thread page now, It should be finished while I b-spec later on today. There will be no formal events this weekend for two reason, one I want everyone to get used to the wheel itself and also get to race with their teammates some more and two I hope this patch fixes some of the online issue we are going to see in the next couple of days. The League thread will have info on how the events work and when our first team event will take place.

Awesome man, cant wait for this to kick off. I think everone needs a week to get used to the game and especially to get used to how the lobbys work.
edit: just one thing, kutsuju_aarron is on 2 european teams, 2 and 3 I think.
Also I'm gonna host a lobby tonight If GTP_Neenor isnt doing an endurance lobby. All on the list welcome, kick off 12 gmt. bring a hedset if you can it speeds things up

Absolute rubbish.
Like I said, in my REAL car, I use quite a good stab of the throttle because the more throttle I use, the quicker the Revs rise, the quicker I can perform a change.
I drive an S2000, so lets say that I brake from 130mph to 45mph. This will take less than 4 seconds. The first second is spent solely braking and the last 0.5 seconds is spent solely braking. This means I have to preform 3 downshifts, all with thottle blipping, in 2.5 seconds. In addition, the more time I have the clutch pressed, the more unstable the car is going to be.
I think that GT5P had it right in that if you hit the limiter, it'd throw you to neutral (this would then negate the powershifting advantage).
Or, Polyphony could add a simple algorithm saying that if speed is decreasing, allow throttle without neutral.
Driving into walls tends to damage a car very quickly, yet they have left that ability in...

I am sorry if I offend you in any way, I don't intend to do that. I am simply stating what I have found to work in the game and my opinions on why this works. In reality, every car is going to be a bit different. What may work in real life for you, just doesn't work in the game, and I am stating what does work, at least for me. Like I said, that 10% of throttle input is enough in my mostly stock RX-7 in game. Some cars take more, others less.
On the subject of the theory of preventing imaginative mechanical damage to the transmission, its just a thought. With some of the inconsistancies in the game relating to damage, it wouldn't surprise me if PD thought about it this way.
In the end, there are simple changes that PD could make in a very small patch to make things work even better as far as clutch control goes. I agree PD has limited it way too much, taking away from the realism. In reality, my underpowered FWD can spin the tires on a hard 1-2 shift, while I can't get anything out of the tires on a 250hp lightweight RX-7 in the game because PD has limited the 1-2 shift, making an accidental clutch drop in 2nd from spinning the tires.

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off 900 degrees turning on a G27?
I feel it's too much for a game and it would be better off with just 270.

Hey, has anyone figured out how to map the hand brake to one of the wheel buttons on the g27 - thats an essential one - dont seem to be able to do it in the DFGT settings ...
One other thing gents, unless your really good typing with the controller, a wireless key board is a must for the lounge room comms i reckon

Hello I just got g27 racing wheel and I have a strange problem ( I think) I can't steer I the straight line the wheel starts to go mad from one side to another and it's very hard to control it. the car is just weaving in straight line. I tried in gt5 and nfs shift same problem. is the force feedback to high or what ?

Yeah it's very strange is this supposed to be normal ? i tried F1 2010 on my pc and the wheel was alright
Try lowering the force feedback & enable power-Assisted steering. Also set the steering. To simulation . & grab the wheel hard with 2 hands. See if that helps.

It's just the nature of the wheel i'm afraid, G25 was the same way, at faster speeds the wheel will start to wobble and you have to hold on for dear life to get a straight line. Best of luck!

So I worked on sector 2 of the beginner AMG Academy, and in the S near the beginning, if I was coming out of the last turn and used the clutch to go from second to third, it doesn't seem to pick it up. I may have been trying too fast, but it seems to work and not work in other areas as well, which could also be me. It's on the G27, by the way.

Tbh I cheated on sector 2 in beginner cause I tried it like 100 times literally 100 times and the fastest I was able to get 2.21.055 so I cut through the first S corner and was able to get gold
G27 everything works. Paddles, 6 gear shifter or clutch. It all works.
The only thing you can't do is re-map keys but you don't really need to re-map them.
The G27 is a Good wheel shop around I got it from logitech itself for $209 with a direct link from a google deal.
