New G25/G27 users!!!!

Has anyone experienced issues with reverse with the G27? A few cars I've tried won't go move in reverse even if the game registers they're in gear. Car (Mazda Eunos Roadster Premium ) won't move at all in reverse. Other cars (Stealth AMG Mercedes) have been fine. Not sure if it's a G27 issue or game issue or operator malfunction.

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off 900 degrees turning on a G27?
I feel it's too much for a game and it would be better off with just 270.

I too would like to know how to do this and any advice would be very much appreciated.

I saw a guy on YouTube post a video doing this on the pc with some installed drivers but ps3 ain't a pc and I haven't got any drivers/software installed on my pc either....

Anyone?

Experience of people I read:
You are not able to chose, but it is imposed so small angle for carts and race cars and 900° for normal street cars.

Not too sure what to do now? I've tried the karts and it seems to be as you've said but that was a few days ago so I'll need to have another look. Tried Castrol Tom GT in arcade mode and if I remember correctly it still seemed to be 900* (assuming this is a race car?).

Again, I will need to have a looksie later.

Btw, I've had my G25 for over a year and got it for gt5p. After playing for an hour or 2, I stopped playing and sold the game because I wanted to experience gt5 with the wheel - kind of knowing I was gonna buy gt5 anyway so I wanted it to be as unique as possible. I thought the game was gonna be out within a month or so but then it was delayed and I was gutted. I was extremely tempted to buy prologue again but just about resisted.

Anyway, just a small story for you all lol!

As you can see I have very limited experience using the wheel and I would have liked for it to be more responsive (ability to turn quicker with smaller turns) because every time I oversteer (even when I do it on purpose), I can't get control because there is too much wheel to turn.....

Now, maybe it's my rubbish driving skills and there are techniques out there to compensate this? Maybe I could use some 'palm' technique to spin the wheel back quicker?

Anyone with any general help other than saying don't oversteer? I want to be able to oversteer so I can get into a drift - or is this not possible with ordinary cars unless I use a handbrake?

^ Hey, I've been racing every night with people from this league, altough only once with a team member. I'll add you 2nite if you want to race with us, its just a bit of fun, and we can try get a team meet before the weekend :)
 
how does the g27 feel as far as shifting goes? is it possible to shift from 5th to 2nd in game?

i have a g27 built on a rig, but its at my brothers house and from what i've been reading we might just use it to play gtr2.

Yeah it's possible & kas just announced that he is working on full support for G25 & G27 for sometime december so the G27 it's gonna get better.

Im not a new user and I dont use the clutch. I dont like the clutch since you have to bottom it out for every change. My road car only needs the pedal to be just over half way down for a shift. The clutch pedal is also so noisey when bottomed every time and I wonder about what it sounds like to the neighbours even if there is no one else home in my house (my wheel is upstairs in the spare room on a wooden floor). I do like the Idea of wheel only races though. I played online and found there is still a lot of what I call online dodgems. Ok In all motor sport there is contact but the other night I joined a Nascar room and one guy spent a half a lap clipping my back inside corner to spin me. This is ok with a Pad as full lock is just a thumb flick away. As fellow wheel users im sure you understand how annoying this is because you have a turn and a half to get full lock on. Makes it a lot more realistic to correct slides but if your getting a Pit Manouver every lap you cant beat them all. I would wish for full G25 support in this game as Logitech say if the wheel is fully supported you can change the full rotation degrees.

Sorry about last night. My girlfriend decided to hog the tv so I didn't get a chance to play. Hope she goes to bed early tonight. I definately will be about on sat as she is away for the night.

As I said before I dont use the clutch and Im not new to the wheel. I do however like wheel only races. Im not sure about the Team format as I work Irregular shifts so I cant compete in arranged races a lot of the time. For the same reason I never join Clans in FPS games. If anyone wants to race wheel only though add me as a M8 GTP_Thedeester1. If the team format isnt as strict as im making out put me in the Euro team. I use seq' paddle shift however because of the clutch issues I posted before.

Hey, has anyone figured out how to map the hand brake to one of the wheel buttons on the g27 - thats an essential one - dont seem to be able to do it in the DFGT settings ...
One other thing gents, unless your really good typing with the controller, a wireless key board is a must for the lounge room comms i reckon :)

On the G25 you can use The Driving Force Pro setup to map buttons...Hope this helps but im not sure about the G27?

Worth a try let me know if it works?

Oh you need to know the original functions of the buttons on the 6 axis pad to work out which button is say R3, L3 etc....I figure on the G27 many are repeated since the PS3 is only set up for the buttons available on the pad.....Again hope this helps

G25/27 support is on its way apparently.

Oh and if any are X or Square [] you can use these in races i think since the pedals seem to be a seperate input...When I set up the G25 X and [] were unused in the Driving force pro set up.

Seems like I am in Team 6. Can someone on my team please add me and keep me updated on this? I hardly go on this site anymore due to playing GT5 all the time!
 
Edgeypoo and super_pablo are on both american and european teams. Whats the story, are we going ahead with this?
 
hopefully with more support? they'll add actual forcefeedback for tyre/grip feel. i might have to swap the g25 for a gfp? if not, boooo!

Hey guys, not been keeping an eye on this for a while, my bad! I was just playing the game a little too much haha :D that + uni work, im trying to finish it all off so I can pretty much chill out for next week and then i have 4 weeks off :) 4 weeks of quality GT time!

Anyway, if those people in my team want to add me on PSN and we shall set up a room sometime to get some practice in or whatever before the series starts.
