New GT5 footage of the Toyota-FT-86 Concept

Well what ever it is, it look's Like a wonderful driving and (Drifting) road, As well as the mountains look amazing.

When I think mountain roads this particular episode of Top Gear comes to mind...

This last video is truly breathtaking.

^ Thanks for posting that Top Gear episode. If anything, at least it shows the Initial D worshipers that Japan doesn't own the "togue" style roads.

A GT3RS, Gallardo Superleggera & an AM N24 on those roads. KY should listen to the Top Gear boys. They've got taste.

Ok the amount of Smoke is a bit too much:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay7m2XN1npQ

There is nearly no smoke and there is only a few skidmarks visible, so i can live with the amount of smoke and the missing skid marks in GT5p.

Tire smoke will depend on how a person is drifting. Lift throttle oversteer or feinting will not produce as much smoke initially as if someone were to use power oversteer. I've been to a few drift events and the ones with high horsepower that clutch kicks and powers throught their drift produces an insane amount of smoke. Lots of fun to watch! I gave drifting a try with my old '84 Datsun 200SX and '95 Nissan 240SX I didn't have the free time to get good enough to compete.

Ummm, not sure if this has already been discussed but is there any info about the dock scene at the very start of the video?
It looks to me very much like the docks used in the Ken Block Gymkhana 2 video (LA or SF?) The cranes, waterfront and lighting all remind me of that video. With it being such a huge hit, I guess it wouldn't be that far off to assume PD used that video for inspiration in this. Whether we get to drive it or not, we'll have to wait and see!

Looks a bit like the docks in Tokyo. Grid and Shift featured a race track there, so maybe we will have one in GT5 aswell?!

Just heard the engine noise of a Lexus LF-A, which will make its debut at Tokyo Motor Show. I'm wondering of this car will feature in Gran Turismo, and if PD has made a trailer for this car too.

It will be in GT5. I'm sure of that :sly:

You mean this video...

I agree...V8s take the cake. I am biased, and I am partial to the ZR1 V8 combined with Supercharger sound. I also like me a nice Torino with Cleveland V8 roar.

Nah best enginesound ever was the trubocharged V5 engine of the Audi Quattro Group B Rally supercar. I love the sound of the wastegate :D

I agree. The quattro is legendary. I have an Audi with a 5-pot, 20v engine and it sounds fantastic :D

By the way, they weren't V5's but straight (inline) 5's.

EDIT: btw, thanks for posting up the video. Awesome stuff!

I disagree. I think the best sound comes from a 120HP 4 cylinder Honda Civic with a big muffler that you can hear half a mile away. You know, the ones that makes a lot of noise but doesn't go anywhere.

That LF-A sounds sickkkkkkk! V10 I believe? I still think the V10 in the Carrera GT sounds better but that LF-A is up there.

We're getting off topic here...Anyway, the Ferrari Boxer 12 is very nice. The Carrera GT's V10 has an ALMS flavor for the street that sounds great.

If we're talking race cars, the Lambo Murcielago GT1 sounds wonderful.

Jay
V16? Some 1930's Cadillac? :P

I prefer the newer 16 concept.

I would like to point out that if the sounds we hear in this trailer are actually the sounds of the game, then we can check out "bad sounds" of the "to improve list" and add "stunning sounds" to the "epic" list.
