@RACECAR Well, since you seem to know more than the rest of us, why don't you clue us in. đź’ˇ

Quite frankly, it doesn't take an insider to easily identify that the covered car does not match any of the silly suggestions many here are making. Like I said, they're in for a massive disappointment. Its not some bold claim, its a logical conclusion that for some reason people don't want to accept.

You guys are really getting desperate with these outlandish suggestions, none of which match the car under the cover. I'm telling you right now, you're all in for massive disappointment.

I not really expecting what I thought it would be as much as I want to. So no I will not be disappointed due to not expecting to be what I imagined.

Same goes for what we were all speculating about the car under the veil when GT6 got officially announced.

All close guesses, but no 100% correct answers.

Predictions I'm not understanding in this thread:

- The 2015 LMP1 car - As many have stated, Nissan has made it very clear that the car will be under wraps for quite some time. I can't recall a past LMP being revealed so early before it's debut, and really, the car under the sheet doesn't look all that LMP-ish to me.

- Cars that look very different from the sheet - Nissan only recently put this covered car up... Why exactly would they tease a car, namely it's shape, and then change it all of a sudden...?

- Cars that were already unveiled - The announcement states "Each car — from the Skyline Sport Coupe and Fairlady Z, to the GT-R NISMO GT3 — represents a chapter of Nissan’s story. On June 10th we open the next chapter.” Why, exactly, would a "new chapter" be something that's already been announced, or even fully unveiled...? I think this may also put an R36 put of the question...

The fact that it lists separate models or families as "chapters" tells me that it's going to be a completely new model/family, and the fact that they're making a big deal of it, and putting it in a racing game tells me it's going to be something performance-oriented. As I said before, it's probably not a new GT-R, hence "new chapter for Nissan", and plus, the shape looks a bit too sleek to be an evolution of the Skyline/GT-R family.

I strongly believe, and would be willing to put money on this being a completely new model. The only thing I'm not 100% on is if it's a VGT or FT-1-esque concept. Considering the timeframe and potential launch window, I lean a bit more to the VGT side, but it could still be either or in my eyes.

Only a few hours to find out.

Nissan has all but homologated the 2014 GT-R GT500 to DTM specifications minus the the engine of course; as stated by the NISMO president. That's worth considering as well. At the end of the video he state's that fact in both English and Japanese, English first.
