I must admit I was suprised to see another Seasonal Event already. I golded all five races in a brand new Yellowhat GT-R with oil change and racing hard tyres. Not too difficult this one.

Last OCD update mostly had SuperGT cars. Now there seems to be the same trend going on with Rally cars could we get seasonal rally races next?

Is it just me or am I the only one NOT getting the paint and horns from this seasonal???

It depends on which place you finish in..

1st = credits + helmet / suit
2nd = credits + paint
3rd = credits + horn

.. they're individual prizes so they don't stack, probably because they're repeatable events rather than the one off prizes from the Expert, Time and Drift Trial events.

Race it again and come second,then you'll get the paint.It's not like the first gets you all 3 prizes.

Good point,we'll shall see soon 👍

A stupid question, but are the cars bought in the online dealership thing premiums or standards, or both? I would prefer to buy premiums if I have the option, so wanted to know before I bought anything. Apologies for the no doubt silly question

Standard only,:ouch:(but the cars aren't used: i.e. zero mileage :) )

Thank you, thought as much-I'll probably still buy them to build my garage up but doubt I will use them very often

There are so many great cars that are standard. Those who don't use them are missing out.

I must say I'm very surprised to see two new seasonals in one week. Thanks PD. 👍

Can't wait to do these at the end of the day. :)

I think theyr doing more of these to allow people to get more of the helmets/suits without doing the same set of races..
Anyway is it possible to use stealth GT500 Cars in this? Im busy installing stuff on my new (7th) ps3 atm and won't be online for a couple of hours

Gee, I take a night off from GT5 and they spring a surprise Seasonal on us. Sweet.

I imagine a DTM Seasonal is coming soon.

Rather wish the Super GTs were 10-lappers like in A-Spec. 5 laps is a pure sprint, 10 gets up into BTCC/WTCC territory and rewards lap-to-lap consistency.

I have a feeling we get this to compensate for the time trial they closed down after discovering cheating.

Spare a thought for me. Stuck at work and reading about these new seasonals and I am itching to get home. What a surprise from pd.

HaylRayzor's Reviews:
I did all the events in a stock au Cerumo Supra - no aids except ABS 1.

Tires - RH
PP - 590
HP - 483
Aero - 20/45
Weight - 1100kg

I would rate my ability as 8/10. I am generally in the top 20% of time trials.

Each event gets a HaylRating of 0-5 stars.

Indanapolis Speedway - 8 Laps

Too easy. I was able to run this event with the throttle down, never lifting or touching the brakes. I took the lead halfway through lap 3 and built a steady 1+ second per lap gap to finish 5 seconds ahead of the pack.

To be fair, it wouldn't take much reduction in power to make this a VERY challenging race.

(This was the only event I changed the stock settings. I increased the top speed of the transmission.)

HaylRating - 3 Stars

Nurburgring GP/F - 5 Laps

This was my favorite of the events. It took my until lap 5 to catch the Xanavi. This was the only event of the group that felt balanced for a stock GT500 car. I'll be doing it again, maybe with a few % less power...

HaylRating 4 Stars

Laguna Seca - 5 Laps

I'll be the first to admit I'm not great at this track. I caught the Xanavi on lap 4 at the Corkscrew. Not a bad race, but not one I care to repeat.

HaylRating - 3 Stars

Cape Ring - 5 Laps

Yes boys and girls, 5 LAPS at the full Cape Ring. This doesn't even make sense. Despite crashing on lap 1 (I hit the jump too fast), I caught the Xanavi at the beginning of lap 3. Then it was 2.9 more loooong and pointless laps.

If this event was 2 laps it would be great! At 5 laps it ranks as one of the worst seasonals ever.

HaylRating - 0 Stars

Eifel - 5 Laps

I haven't been a great fan of the custom tracks from PD, and this one ranks low indeed. It's too wide. It lacks ANY good corners. I passed the Xanavi midway on lap 3 and cruised to another way-too-easy win.

I have 2 dozen better custom tracks. For example, the one I have shared right now, Angel Falls.

HaylRating - 1 Star

So far I have probably won a zillion helmets and only one racing suit ...

I agree, so far I only receive helmets for the first place...

Look at the prize list to see what are you gonna get.

If you aren't getting suits, then it's probably because they are not listed as such. Pretty much have to do the older seasonal events to get the suits.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can finally get my way too long awaited RX7 LM Racecar!!!!! 👍👍👍
