Welcome to the WRS Darren.
There is absolutely no doubt that participating in the WRS will improve your driving and laptimes.

Animera,

Looks like you are pretty good yourself, did you ever move up and got "promoted" since you qualified... Good Job on being in Division 1 Silver!

I sweated so much go get where i am .... Just got my confirmation from Sjaak68 after my recent entry submission...

Looking forward to my first WRS race! I already know my poor thumbs are going to suffer :P

I qualified in D3 Silver with a sixaxis.
Then I got a DFGT wheel, slowly improved and got promoted to where I am now.
Getting a wheel was definitely the best thing I ever did.

I've a DFGT for quite a while now and a cockpit setup since the beginning of the year... but i cant seem to get used to it yet... i still do better times with the Pad... I guess i will have to slowly get used to my set up, and react faster with the wheel...

Congrats on being at a first place on the WRS92 time right now ... I think i might give it a go later this week at "Taming the Snake" as my first WRS.

GTP_MooCow ( note to self stay away from he's tail pipe)

Welcome to WRS, hope you enjoy it here with us. 👍

Phillip.

Hi, I'm new here but I've been lurking for quite a while, I've found some new info about pre-ordering GT5 from gamestop where you get two exclusive cars

Hey guys, Names Darren/Daz/DC/Whatever really.
Its been about a year since I've been on the forums.
I'm completely new to the WRS, though I used to run my own little race (back in the day on gt4)
I've finally got GT5P so I thought I'd try enter this to get back into things.
I submitted my Qualy time & got put in Div 4 Gold.
Was kinda happy seeing as I've not really had time to play GT5P yet.
Anyway I shall try my best to compete each week & hopefully work my way up.

Welcome to WRS Darren. You have come to the right place 👍

Welcome MooCow. I myself also qualified D3 with a pad and then decided to get a wheel. It's taken me 1yr to get where I am now. If you have a wheel I strongly urge you to keep practicing with it. It makes the game a whole lot better. Don't be ashamed of you times. Throw the pad in the cubboard and hide the key.

Thanks... dont worry, it will happen by itself... I wont have to work hard at staying away from him :P

Thanks for the welcome, i will make the effort then.

PS: the thing is: The cockpit setup is in the living room downstairs... but i usually have my PS3 in the bedroom upstairs... and since i am rather lazy, and like the comfort of my bed, i usually end up playing with the Pad instead. :D and then if too tired, i can just fall asleep at the car vrromm....

Welcome guys, the WRS is the best place to improve your skills. I qualified D4 bronze with the pad and moved up to D3 bronze. I got a G25 for christmas and am still getting used to it, my times haven't improved noticably but my enjoyment factor has gone through the roof. Like CT says, just enjoy yourself, don't worry about the times and go for it, there are so many helpful people round here, the improvement will come and its a great community to be part of. Enjoy!

I am new here as well. Got my confirmation last week after submitting my qualifier.

Qualified D2 Bronze. I hope to improve my skills as time goes on.

Hi, I'm new here.
I will send my lap time, so let's see in what division I will go.
The objective is to have a good time and fun, learn and at the end improve my driving skills and lap times.

Good races.

Hey guys. I just got entered in the WRS. Hope to have a fun experience before GT5 comes out. I would like to ask if i'm allowed to compete in the latest event, even though my tagged name is not yet confirmed on the registry. I'm going to have a small session now and i'll post my splits up soon. :D

Go ahead and run some laps, Sinistar.
You can post your splits also.

Welcome to the WRS and have fun.

Welcome to the WRS Sinistar and congrats on making Division 1.
Yes, you may compete in this week's WRS.

Hi everyone. My name is Nebojsa, I'm 24, and been playing GT5P off and on for the past year. I just qualified for Division 2 Bronze. Took a lot of trying, but I guess that's the only way to get better/faster.

Welcome to the WRS, and yes, participating in the WRS is a great way to improve your driving and laptimes.

Hello I'm Mike and I'm completely addicted to GT! It all started with my sons PSP and then I was hooked, I'm currently playing GT4 with DFP and prologue with DFGT, I love it and I lurk here like crazy and am excited to finally race the series!

The WRS definately improves skill!
I've only done like 3 races & I've already gotten a bit better.
Its a great way to improve yourself & test yourself!

Oh & welcome to the WRS :) (I almost forgot lol)

Hi. I wanted to try this WRS thing but I'm not understanding it. Do I have to be Online to record my lap? Must I show a replay? And I don't get these "divisions." Someone help me, because I need to improve at GT.

All the information is on the site if you want to join in with the WRS. Every race week clearly outlines wether you are to run on or off line, and the results threads state that the top three in each division need only submit replays.

You earn a divisional placing based on your WRS qualifier, and you can save your best lap wether you are on or off line.

OK, I read through that and understood, but with the whole "GTP PSN ID", I have a ID that I use for GT5:P but it does not contain GTP_ in it. Do I have to make one that is like this?

Yes, to be part of the GTP Registry you need a new account with an GTP tag.
Make another account and add GTP_ to your existing name and your good to go ahead and compete in the WRS.
