You are new to the WRS???

Nice to see you here:tup:

Hopefully we can get back the old gang togheter to compete in the events.

Eagerly waiting for unlocked saves so i can transfer my progress to my GTP account.

Sadly you could be waiting a long time for that. You would be better to start a new account and just give over the cars that you need.

How'r you all doin? My name is Cary and this will be my first WRS. Do I just subscribe to the first sticky thread for info on how to qualify?

Hey folks. I'm not new to racing games, but I'm returning to the GT series after several years away. I'm a huge fan of GT5 and can't wait to hopefully participate in the WRS.

Cheers.

Hey guys i'm Steve, i've been hiding in the shadows for awhile. Aint ran the WRS since GT4 so really looking forward to GTP WRS...

But got to stay not looking forward to that brick wall time i'm going to hit on the qualifier :P

Hello all. I took part in a few races back in the GT4 days and I am looking forward to submitting some times now in GT5.

I have a small question after reading the qualifier rules. I hope I understand it right that two weeks after the deadline for submitting our qualifier times (Midnight (GMT) Friday January 28th, 2011), we will be able to submit a qualifier time in order to take part in the WRS. I only ask because I won't be getting GT5 until sometime in Febuary, and would hate to miss out on the WRS.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can clear this up for me. I look forward to pushing myself for some fast times, even if they are five seconds behind the fast guys!

Edit: After Reading through the GTP Registry Discusion thread again it seems I have found the answer to my question. See you in Febuary!

Hi. I used to do weekly time trials back in the GT2 days on a site that I think was granturismoforums, but it doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Had the same S/N way back then. Had some good challenges and great fun trying to beat the painterr and English Pete. Almost got Pete with a 1'01.05 on Midfield(R) in a 452hp Cusco Impreza. Best Lap I've ever driven, in any car on any game, and he still beat me.

Wonder what happened to those guys...

I wouldn't mind getting back into time attack events, and as such, here I am.

hi, been floating round these parts for about a year now, but only just bothered to register for the wrs. Not the fastest and only using a ds3 but hope to find some clean racing at my own (meager) pace lol

Not really new to the WRS, but how about a reintroduction for GT5!

My name is Chris, and I've raced in the WRS early in the GT4 days for a short while. I came back in the summer of 2010 in hopes of racing often in the WRS, but a new job scratched that right off the list.

I am a visual effects artist based in Vancouver, BC. I specify in 3D environment modeling and texturing. I've been waiting for GT5 for a long time, as most others here have, and I can't wait to get going with the WRS. This time around, I will definitely try hard to participate week in week out, and keep active on the forum here with everyone else that is competing. I love the challenge the WRS brings, with the HUGE variety of combos we see each week. It really requires a great all around driver that can adjust to each car.

See you on the track!

Hi, I'm Andrew. This is my first WRS. Looking forward to finally getting involved.

Cheers.

Hi, sanmusa here, used to do WRS way back when in GT3, want to get back into it with GT5!!

This is my first WRS, i hope i don't end up on last place :)

Welcome Lads. :)

Just remember it doesn't matter how fast or slow you are, the main purpose of the WRS is to improve yourself and most importantly to have fun. 👍

Hi, used to do this a little bit a while back. I'm more into photomode than racing though, hence why I wasn't very good. Time to unlock the AMG academy I think...
Oh, and good luck to everyone!

Hey!

I'm Mad1723, member of the forums since the release of GT4! I've always loved watching the competition behind the WRS and now I'll be trying to qualify myself and see how I fare in this league! I know some of you guys are driving gods, and I expect just to qualify and then try to improve from there! :D

See you guys on the track!

PSN ID: GTP_Mad1723 (GT5 WRS account), Mad1723(Main account)

Hey guys Dan here! I'm from Ireland & registered on the forums a while back & only starting on WRS now! I play GT5 & hot pursuit ATM & hooked to both of em! Use a DS3 with a slightly broken L3 that's missing the rubber grip, which is only a problem for me when playing FIFA!

When playing GT5, I play manual box with pretty much everything off apart from ABS which I would have on setting 1 for 95% of the time & turn TC on only if I have a highly modified and/or powerful RWD car!

Feel free to add me on PSN. My GTP WRS ID is: GTP_Danny_GT2 & my normal ID is: Danny_GT2! Hope to see you guys on the track soon & good luck in qualifying!

Hey guys, I'm Will. I'm a 21 year old senior mechanical engineering student. This is the first GT I am taking seriously and I am loving every second of it. First night I attempted the licenses and "passed" most of them. A month later after adapting to a MT and no aids, I golded all of them - many on the first try. I'm always looking to improve and the nature of WRS caters to this.

I've been catching up reading about WRS and it seems awesome. The organization and professionalism are many tiers above those found on FPS games and the like.

Anyway this is something I definitely would like to take part in. Although I have a heavy course load at school - I'll do my best to at least take part in every weekly race.
