Welcome to all the WRS newcomers... you're going to have a great (but sometimes frustrating) time. 👍

Hello to every virtual and real-life racedrivers out there!

I'm Mikko, a not so flying Finn :sly: all ready for a challenge.
I've been playing GT for about 10 years now, and have owned GT2, GT4, GT5P and now playing GT5 (obviously) with my trusty DFGT.

Good luck to all participants of WRS, even if you don't need it :)

Been a few weeks since I last checked the thread.

Would like to welcome all new members to WRS, hope you have lots a fun. 👍

Phillip.

ps: Oh and if you beat me, try not to make it look to easy :sly:

LOL doubt that. I'm using a DS3 and new to taking GT seriously. Hope that's OK in this series. Really looking to beat myself as I presume your times will dominate mine.

Welcome to all the new guys

Sit back, relax and enjoy WRS. It's not about being the fastest, or slowest but more about having fun and learning and improving your skill 👍

Hi guys, looking forwards to the WRS, used to do something similar on Tourist Trophy back in the day and had a great laugh with my fellow racers. see you all on the track.

Another WRS newcomer here. Been a fan of the series since GT1 but lost interest after GT4 and moved over to PC based sims, now that GT5 is finally out I'm back at it full swing.

I've been spending most of the last few weeks running GT Academy laps but finally got around to setting up another acct last night and ran a few seasonal event to get the cash flow started. Really looking forward to the WRS races though. 👍

I am also new to WRS, but will give it a try. I use my trusty DS3 controller, and is happy with that.

Please feel free to add me. My psn is GTP_fantis2 or just fantis2 (main account)

Hey Guys.

My name is Nicky from South Wales (UK) and I have been a life long GT fan. (I'm only 17:sly:)

Over the last year I have been constantly checking this website in anticipation of GT5, and have always wanted to be a part of this online racing community. Therefore, I cannot wait for the GTP_WRS series to start and racing against people with the same feelings as me.

Looking forward to some great times ahead and making many friends.
Nick.

Hi everyone, another WRS rookie here. I've been a member of GTP for just over a year and have participated in a number of other race series, mainly in GT4. I've been thinking of joining the WRS for quite a while, but just never got around to it, mainly because I was only using a controller in Prologue, however I've now upgraded to a DFGT.

My GTP PSN ID is GTP_Stig13.

Great to see so many new members despite the obvious wailing and gnashing of teeth on the news page! Welcome aboard guys and enjoy your time here, will be great to see so many people competing in the coming weeks

I am getting very excited for the WRS, I have been playing since GT3, and I also am looking foward to the tough competition.

An incredibly warm welcome to all those who are new to WRS and looking forward to becoming a part of what is one of the nicest and most helpful communities on GTPlanet. I hope you are able to find the competition and improvement you seek in WRS  :gtpflag:

All the best
Maz

Hi All

I'm a long time lurker and GT player who has finally decided to surface and join in with the fun.

I've been playing GT since the original which was released while I was at Uni, so much of the next 4 years was spent running endless 2 player laps at Grand Valley and Autumn Ring. I then played GT2 to death and finally decided to upgrade to a PS2 when GT3 was released. I missed out on the fun of GT4 due to my PS2 dying shortly before it was released, but decided to buy a PS3 for GT5 and like most then waited patiently while GT5:P didn't really fill the gap.

I decided to do things properly this time after years of using a pad, so for Xmas this year I received a shiny new G27 and WSP (and of course a copy of GT5). As a result I'm still getting to grips with the game and new control method, but it's already taken it to a whole other level.

Due to real life getting in the way I'll struggle to get to play for more than 4- 6 hours a week, so I don't expect to be up there with the quick boys, but I'm looking forward to the WRS and would much rather be doing that than grinding on A-Spec.

Also, good to see a more mature level of discussion in this section rather than the almost unreadable rubbish in the main GT5 section...

My PSN ID is GTP_Stu-Pid and feel free to add me.

Cheers

Stu

Hello everyone. My name is Bryan and the only GT experience I had prior was GT2 which I loved enough to still play until GT5 came out. I felt no need to upgrade until now due to trying GT3 and not caring for it as much as 2. I hear GT4 is a solid game so I may go back and give that one a whirl.

I am here like everyone else to see where I stack up. I am not the fastest driver, but I can hold my own. It's also nice to try something non-oval track as I have played in NASCAR 2003 online leagues for 7 years now.

Hello, like a lot of people I am new to the GTP family but not to the GT world as a whole. Did some basic Time Attacks on other forums around the web and enjoyed it a lot. This is clealy a much more organized affair so I am looking forward to this. My name is Scott, and my PSN Ids are "funkypickl" and "GTP_Funkypickl". See ya soon folks.

Hi all, have been around the traps for a couple of years now, but have bitten the bullet so to speak and registered a GTP tag ...... looking forward to submitting and getting allocated to a divison, then get onto the serious stuff of gradual improvement!!!

Cheers Nicko....... hope i can deliver for you! My gut feel tells me i'll be in Div 3 Gold, maybe Div 2 Bronze..... but i'll be busting hump until the 28th to get those times down, i'm open to being surprised!

Hi all, I'm James (PSN-ID: jkmayol) - Looking forward to doing some WRS.

I have learned many tips/techniques by reading this site - They've helped me a lot so thanks to all who've contributed (threads, videos, etc.).

My goals are to have fun, and get better at this racing thing.

Hello Pedro here.:)

Im not new to the WRS, been around since the very first WRS race back in the GT3 days.
I've not raced in the GT4 or the GTP5 WRS events due to time constraints , job , family the usual stuff.
However this did not deter me from buying GT4 & GTP5, just had no time to compete.
Im going to give this qualifier a go and see where i stack up after all these years absent.
Looking forward to some good competition . 👍
