I do, and I'm sure I'm not in the minority. Why would you like to see dirty runs?

I don't call it dirty, they are just taking advantage of flaws in PD's timing system. There's nothing wrong with that.

Woohoo, just managed 10th place . Lucky to find the car, turned AS on and some minor changes to the tune :D.

It's dirty, pd admits the flaw and as I said, they will remove those types of laps if someone complains. Would you like me to see if I can get it removed?

Here is the point, the guy is fast enough to not need that lap, I'm sure he can run it clean, what he is doing is setting a bad precedent for folks like yourself who now think it's ok.

Wall banging is dirty, it's an embarrassing shame to see that at the top of any leader board, for the driver and also for the rest of us.

Well said mate 👍

edit: apologies for double post :dunce:

Well I've got better separate splits but can't seem to string them together for something better than my 6'27 something, good for 13XX in the charts. Nothing compared to the fastest here but better than my average 3000.
Now, those lap under 6'10 are just incredible and way out of my league.
Anybody knows who is the fastest in this TT using DS3?

I don't even see any wall bounces on Amo's replay. Where was it?

Forgive me but I don't know all the corner names on the Nurb... it's 3 turns before the carousel at the left hander after the long uphill section about 3 and half mins into the lap! if that makes any sense? :P

I guess you're right.
Guys I'm sorry for being a little ridiculous earlier. I act that way sometimes :(

I think it's Mutkurve.

Nah, it's not down to tune... P1 also happens to be the fastest guy on GT5.

not questioning his driving skills, i'm on his bumper through the first section, i'm just noticing while taking the same lines he's able to brake less and hang turns at a greater speed, that's the car not the driver.

Did alittle more tweaking to my 905 and knocked almost a whole second off my time at Spa. Now at 1:55.037. Pretty sure I can knock off alittle more. Got the car pretty much dialed in now, its just up to my driving skill, or lack there of, lol. Peace.

Good work! I'm down to a 1.53.899 and I'm so happy! Think there's maybe a little more in it but I'm losing talent now! Thanks for the time again, I updates it with the arb you said and changed the camber a bit which made a big difference :)

Can't deny his talent, great tune or not. But this is exactly why PD needs more Time Trials like the SLS at Top Gear and GT-R at Eifel from a few months back. I actually found those were much more competitive and it all came down to the driver, not the car, tune, or anything else.

I agree, a mix of both would be great, so you dont see the 2J in each TT. :)
And more Nurburgring TTs would be fun :D

Havent been able to retry, may be later in the week, i would need to be on a very good day to improve even if i know i can shave about half a second for sure but its really intense car to drive.

If i use stock cars as a baseline, adding an oil change could shave 2 seconds. Id say half a second would be possible gain with the dirty oil.

By the way, not sure if anyone will find this useful or not, but, back during the very first few hours that the Nurburgring TT event was open on the April 18th, I decided to scan through the top-256 leaderboard to try to write down what types of non-2J cars were being run, and which of them were the best non-2J alternative, since I knew that by day 2 the leaderboards would basically be nothing but 2J's, and then it would be more difficult to figure out after the fact if I hadn't written it down while they were all still on the leaderboards on the first few hours of day 1.

I scribbled these notes in Microsoft Notepad about 3 or 4 hours after the event opened I think it was (maybe 5 or 6 hours, not sure exactly). Enjoy:

Nurburgring 600pp TT car options, Day 1 (just a few hours after event opening) super-early vehicle option indications:

1) 2J Race Car '70 (obviously...)

spq03i already running 6:08 in it just a mere few hours after the event opened

2) Takata Dome NSX'03 6:16.825 by TEW_-Raging- (not sure if it's the genuine 2nd best vehicle for The 'Ring, could just be early-event variance etc, since it seems like a couple of the others
are placing solidly higher volumes just slightly further down the list than the Takata Dome NSX '03 is, only see 2 of them in the top 100 so far, but this one's in 19th place)

3) 905 Race Car '92 6:19.107 by Enyo_Grill (highest one is in 36th, looks like there's 5 of them in the top 110 (which is actually "high volume" given the 2J's dominance at this point lol))

4) 787B Race car '91 6:19.982 by TRDxxMRBLONDExx (only 1 so far at 42nd place, except for a black stealth version a little further down)

5) GT-ONE Race Car (TS020) '99 6:20.347 by rocky0120 (This one seems to be the most heavily represented other than the 2J, so might be the #2 option after the 2J perhaps but highest is 48th)

6) Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89 6:24.052 by unnonameless (only 1 so far at 94th place)

7) YellowHat YMS TOMICA GT-R '08 6:27.833 by REAL-BUSTMAN (only 1 so far at 149th place)

8) MOTUL AUTECH GT-R '08 6:28.223 by K-ON_SPEED_AZUSA (only 1 so far at 158th place)

9) Castrol TOM'S SUPRA '97 6:29.823 by tizon-tireg (only 1 so far at 195th place)

10) 908 HDi FAP - Team Peugeot Total '10 6:29.891 by PBelsic (only 1 so far in 206th place)

11) Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car 6:30.046 by KMT1825

12) CLK Touring Car '00 6:30.664 by LEBOXEUR_06 (only 1 so far in 225th place)

13) XANAVI NISMO GT-R '08 6:30.775 by f2002-ms (only 1 so far in 227th place)

14) RAYBRIG NSX '06 6:31.166 by ko2540 (only 1 so far in 234th place)

15) ARTA NSX '06 6:31.246 by syakugan-syana- in 239th place

16) R8 Race Car '01 6:31.681 by shawnskings in 256th place

update about an hour after initial writeup:

A random Vertigo Race Car '04 popped up in 51st place by yellow_number13 in 6:19.965

also there's a random LOCTITE MUGEN NSX '01 in 140th place in 6:25.577 by ORC_lau1664

also there's a random FTO Super Touring Car in 6:27.590 by hoolidaz in 179th place

also there's a random RX-7 TC in 6:29.226 by AKIFD3S in 221st place

And then, one thing which didn't make it into my notes, which I will add into the notes now after-the-fact, is that spq03i actually made a non-2J run way back when the event had very first opened, with a 905 Race Car '92 and ran a 6:18.517 with it (presumably on pretty much his first clean run with it, since it was very early on, and he seemed to immediately move on to using a 2J right afterwards which thus wiped his 905 Race Car '92's result off the leaderboards, since it doesn't display more than 1 time per competitor, so, even though that result would've stayed on the boards for a while, it got wiped off because he beat his own time with the 2J immediately afterwards.

So, I'm not sure just how low he could've gone in the 905 had he given it a whole day or two worth of serious attempts, but presumably quite a bit lower than 6:18 (I wouldn't be surprised if he could've gone sub-6:10 with it maybe). I also managed to save the lap replay of it just minutes before it got knocked off the top 10 list by the 2J's, lol! Not sure how to upload lap replays onto the internet though, but, it is saved on my PS3 for now!

On my other account i have the Furai at 6:18, i think i could have gone very close to the NSX at 6:16, i think i'll try the xanavi Nismo GTR also, i could run faster lap than the Furai for the last nurburging 650PP a-spec race.

:)

Broke the top 250, goal achieved :) I think I still have some time in it, but it's frustrating. One mistake and the car just loses it. 226th at the moment. Top 100 is my next goal.
