The new rally event in GT League is cool, but pretty bummed it only features 1 of the 3 rally courses.

My sentiments exactly. I love the Sardenga reverse race, but why have rally cars and courses if there are only 2 races available. Arcade and custom races don't count because you have only 1 very slow opponent.

I'd rather pay for dlc content. Free is ok but it's really not much to write about. Not enough endurance races, lack of muscle cars, not enough tracks. This is what gt sport is lacking,as of right now.
When will it change ? If it ever does I will be very surprised. Either way,I'm not going to hold my breath. PD needs to step up their game with other racing games,or get left behind. Plain and simple.

Looking at sales numbers with other similar racing games. Gran Turismo aren't falling behind ever.

The person you have quoted is too obsessed and blinded with Spa to realize that the person he quoted is talking about Dragon Trail.

Or we can go with the more ignorant and nefarious possibility and say that he just simply didn't give a crap and butted in anyway just because he's a real track only nutjob who has no respect for tracks the likes of Grand Valley, Deep Forest or Complex String. Tracks that made GT a hit and its tracks like Dragon Trail that continue that legacy.

A "real track only nutjob" is pretty divisive and hostile language to use. This is my first GT game since GT3 so maybe I'm not used to these comments, but I don't think it's helpful to the community or the series to insult people (or tell them to uninstall the game, or block them, both of which I've seen) simply because they want something different from the series than you do.

I think the fantasy tracks in GTS are fun, but to me none of them match Brands, Bathurst, or Interlagos in subtle feel, sophistication, and (obviously) historical significance. I don't mind them in the game, but I wouldn't want fantasy tracks to comprise the majority in GTS. Oddly, the fantasy track I think most feels like a real circuit (in terms of those small details of the track) is Alsace, which is also the one most people seem to like the least.

They’ve added races to existing events, so maybe they’ll add Colorado and Fisherman’s Ranch in a future update.

Sales numbers don't mean anything if the dlc content isn't there. You can sell 500 million copies, but if the game is lacking cars and tracks, what good is it ?

500 million people can't be wrong then. Who are falling behind from anyway? Forza Motorsport is the only competition they have and they are not exactly setting things alight with that game.

I don't know, maybe the appeal is in something other than cars and tracks?

Next Gran Turismo could have only 10 cars and 1 track and people would still say that it's the best game of all time

Nobody is really saying that, the point is that people like you are getting ridiculously overbearing over the concept that PD somehow owes us more content than what we're getting, free or paid for. There's always criticisms to go around concerning the game but the pettiness over 1.18 is taking it a bit far.

That I can agree with you.

No I'm not taking it too far, that's your opinion on it.i would rather pay for dlc,but free is cool too. Only 1 car though ? That was complete nonsense with pd.

(I had to look up for numbers) But Shox has 24 cars and 20 tracks, a lot of which are variations, and I think it's one of the best racing games ever made.

Gt5 and gt6 both were awesome games

The livery editor is great, but no seasonal. No track creator. But I still support PD,even though the game is lacking more content.

I also don't get the idea that suddenly paying for content is gonna change what PD makes to exactly what the "community" (which is usually just one angry guy) wants, PD could have easily charged money for the 50 cars and extra tracks and layouts and that would've been better how?

I don't mind paying for any dlc at all. And no I'm not angry one bit just disappointed in the lack of content.

Yes PD gave us 50 free cars, and gt league events and new scapes and new variations of tracks, but it needs more.

There are several vehicles we know are coming to the game so its safe to say they're not stopping yet because they added only 3 cars in April.

the may update
What May update?

I genuinely don't understand the expectation here.

GT Sport launched in October 2017. Neither Sony nor Polyphony said anything about DLC apart from that it was coming, and you wouldn't have to wait a year for it. There was no content update in October.
Neither Sony nor Polyphony said anything about DLC until the end of November. In November, Sony published a road map for DLC up to March 2018. In it, Yamauchi (and various regional brand managers) said that "approximately 50 cars" would come, along with unspecified new tracks, with no set schedule except "from now to March 2018" - contrary to popular belief, the word "monthly" was not in this article. The first update, it said, would come at the end of November, with three cars. In November there was a content update with three cars. It added that 12 more cars - which it named - would come in December.
Neither Sony nor Polyphony said anything further about DLC in December. Then a maintenance period, with update, was announced in-game on December 21st. The update, containing the 12 specified cars, arrived on December 22.
Neither Sony nor Polyphony said anything further about DLC in January. Then Kazunori Yamauchi made a Tweet on January 20 about an update arriving the next week. His Tweet had silhouettes - like the blog post - of 10 cars. The update arrived within the week, containing 10 cars. Oh, and a track no-one had said anything about.
Neither Sony nor Polyphony said anything further about DLC in February. Then Kazunori Yamauchi made a Tweet on February 24 about an update arriving the next week. His Tweet had silhouettes - like the blog post - of 12 cars. The update arrived within the week, containing 12 cars. Oh, and a track no-one had said anything about.
Neither Sony nor Polyphony said anything further about DLC in March. Then Kazunori Yamauchi made a Tweet on March 23 about an update arriving the next week. His Tweet had silhouettes - like the blog post - of 13 cars. The update arrived within the week, containing 13 cars. Oh, and a track no-one had said anything about.

This marked the delivery of all 50 cars, and the end of the road map published in November.

Ahead of April, the official GT Twitter account, along with both manufacturers, mentioned the GR Supra Concept and Audi Vision GT arriving in April updates. No other content was mentioned or teased in any way. The Audi arrived on April 9, the Supra on April 27. Oh, along with a track no-one had said anything about.

Neither Sony nor Polyphony said anything further about DLC in April. Or beyond April.

No announcements have been made for any other DLC in April, but for some reason people believe there should have been a 10+-car pack that was never mentioned. No announcements have been made for any DLC in May or any other month, but for some reason people believe there will be a "May update" with further DLC.

The 50 car DLC promise was announced and delivered on time. The Audi Vision GT was announced and delivered on time. The Supra was announced and delivered on time.

There's no reason to expect anything that hasn't been announced.

Agreed.

PD does need to release more content for sport,if they want the sport community to be happy with their game.

You are a very pessimistic person...

I do believe we will get some new content in May, whether or not it was previously announced.

No, pessimism would be the belief that things that have been promised won't be delivered - which isn't justified with GT Sport either.

I'm realistic. Thus far, PD, Sony or Kazunori himself have announced things that are coming and then delivered them, on time. There is no reason to expect content that hasn't been announced - and as yet, no May content has been announced.

There may be an announcement on it, but there's no reason to expect that either.

That's exactly my point too! Nothing has been promised after March apart from the Audi VGT and Supra Racing Concept which we got this month. No point complaining about the lack of cars because only those two were ever promised! Not saying you are.

Well, there is this:

We can argue about the exact meaning of "regular" but when their News section starts calling them "January Update, February Update, March Update..." they are setting a precedent for what "regular" is. We can also argue about "throughout 2018" but it seems PD has set the expectation and we are only a third of the way through 2018. Now I agree that we shouldn't expect every update to have 12 cars and new tracks, but it's not illogical to guess that there will be updates every month or close to it.

So although PD hasn't said what will be released as updates from this point forward, they have said there will be updates. Why wouldn't we hope for our favorite cars and tracks to be added? Speculating is part of the fun. I'm very happy with what PD have released as updates and they have done what they said, so credit to them. I hope we continue to get monthly updates, but if it's not every month (and even if they never get around to adding Spa) I will still be happy.

Except that the road map expired when March did, and has not yet been replaced with anything beyond that date.

There was no reason to expect a car pack of comparable size to the December-March packs in April, and there is no reason to expect any in May either - at least at time of writing.

If we're to get more car packs of that type, it seems more likely that some combination of Kazunori, the PS Blog, and the GT Twitter will announce it no later than four days before it happens.

From what I referenced, the "and..." part expired, but not the "Regular updates will be released throughout 2018" part, so I agree that the 50 cars in 4 months schedule is over. I don't think the meaning of "regular updates" is just bug fixes, seems odd that they would essentially be saying it will take them a year to fix the known issues. Don't you think the meaning is that they will be adding some sort of content on a regular basis?
