I forgot to add - to my post.

So far all I know is that Racing mods are either guaranteed or highly likely to be in. The paint shop could only be to change the colour of a regular car, like from white to say blue. Body kits are iffy.

At the GT4 Final Flight ceremony, it was announced that you will be able to add wings to your cars, mind you this isn't for aesthetics, it's for the tuning of down force. That's about it and 600 wheels to choose from.

I believe I read that Racing mod was a no go and that pain shop was to customize your liscense plate, can't remember where. Who knows. I think that's why there's two paint shops. One for car color, the other for licsence plate.

I know that there will be wings to add to cars, but I think this may still allow you to paint up your car any way you like. As much as I'd like to say that painting up cars is possible, I've never seen it in pictures or in statements. So imagine, if you will, taking a Corvette C5 and modding it up with graphics to make your own. On top of that, you add a functional wing after lightening the car and stuff. I'm not going to say "rice" on this subject. Thing is that you'll be able to modify and add rear wings. And if you want looks, that's simple. But you'll have to eventually learn how to tune for aerodynamics.

So just practice up on aero tuning so you can tack on a wing to a car and make it function. Here's my question. Do you think this "First Flight" deal is going to attract many NFS:U-type racing fans into learning what real racing is all about?

I don't stereotype. That's the lowest of lows I can do. I don't hate the tuner car crowd at all. In fact, I've kind of "grown up" with it. I'm an art person, so when someone mods up a car any way possible, I normally have to appreciate it because it's art. Note how I didn't type anything like "an 18-year old kid with a Honda Civic with mods only on the outside." That's not me, 213101. I have played the demo to NFS:U2 this past Friday during early bird shopping. Pretty cool. Say what you want about the cars and the modifications, but it is lovely!

But if you thought I was stereotyping, 213101, my most sincere apologies.

I would be nice (and realistic) if you could get sponsors to your "team". 💡 For example you would have stock Toyota Supra and you could put for example Coca Cola decals to it and after racing successfully with that car you would get money from Coca Cola company. :) They have banking system in game so why couldn't there be that kind of system too.

It would be nice if PD follow the Forza route when it comes to body kits and paint job. I don't want to race against all the same color car. I love the fact that you are given the option to customize your car the way you want it.

Hopefully PD will jump on the bandwagon with Gt5.

We dont know what GT4 will and wont have for sure so just relax and wait intill its released.

Is it possible that GT4 information concerning body kits and paints has not been reveale because there ain't much to reveal ? Beside the 2 tone paint job that some car have, I have not seen anything that indicated that will be alot more option then previous installement.

Well at E3 Kas showed some examples of GT resorts and 'Paint shop' was included, also he stated that you can add spoilers, so lets just wait and see.

Just don't get your hopes up too much. I would think that if there was some extent features with the paint shop it would have been mention when the game got "Gold" status.

My guess is that you will have more wheels then before and the chance to go paint your car after purchase. That is it. You will be able to choose a new color. Nothing like designing your own graphics or logos which is a shame.

Bodykits aren't just for ricers(although 99.9% of cars with bodykits on the streets are ricers). In a realistic racing game like GT4 a body kit would probably be functional.

im a nfsu racer and i know what racing is about.dont stereotype to much.

Please, Need For Speed: Underground has showed you what racing is about?
That game shows you in now way what its about.

However, I think the spoilers in GT4 are not going to be ricer spoilers. Hopefully, they will be a type that fits the car. Say like a GTO spoiler going on a GTO car w/ the spoiler.

He didn't say NFSU showed him what racing is about. He said he plays it and that he also knows what racing is about. By the way why do you guys hate NFSU? So what if it doesn't show true racing. NFL Street isn't what footballs about but it's fun, although I pefer Madden type games there is nothing wrong with it.

Are you sure that he said that? I don't think that he used that words... but I hope it's true.. :dopey:

It's a shame in your opinion...don't think you're speaking for everyone else. I don't like the whole bodykits and graphics fad. That's why I prefer GT over NFSU, SRS, Juiced and Forza. My opinion...which THANK GOD will be GT4's outcome. :)

I believe a paint shop will be in. Remember when Kaz said there would be no aero parts because the ps2 couldn't handle it, look now, we got aero kits. When he said that, the mentioning of paint shop not being used was said.

It's not because your don't like to trick your car that the option shouldn't be there. That why I said it's a shame that it's not there. Let's take for exemple if you race online and you specify a class or a type of car and all the cars look exactly the same. Have you ever seen a race where all the car looks the same ?

I want to be able, not force, to tricked my car to fits my personnality.

Body kits, IMO, should only be added to subtly imporve looks and must have functionability....my Eclipse had sideskirts....very hard to tell whether the sides were stock or aftermarket but they improved the look and made it look much more professional....front and rear were stock....anyway, getting back into the topic....flashy body kits and downforce wings should not be added for looks as much as for practical use...as for the GTO....well i like the wing they had on Rhys Millen's D1 car....that looked professional, not some cheap screw on.

P.S. Damn NFSU....it teaches nothing of racing, just encourages $20 Tuning and ugly vinyl graphics....performance tuning it learned only in GT

If you want personal expression for your car, do your own designs. You have to pick from a plethora of designs and I'm sure someone over the net will have your exact design. Forza only offers 600 designs, yea, you should get my point.
