Body kits, IMO, should only be added to subtly imporve looks and must have functionability....my Eclipse had sideskirts....very hard to tell whether the sides were stock or aftermarket but they improved the look and made it look much more professional....front and rear were stock....anyway, getting back into the topic....flashy body kits and downforce wings should not be added for looks as much as for practical use...as for the GTO....well i like the wing they had on Rhys Millen's D1 car....that looked professional, not some cheap screw on.

Well gt4 will have aero kits so I guess you will be able to make your car look better and at the same time make it handle to your liking. Dont forget, gt4 will have the tuner's village that will have all kind of famous tune shops.

If you want personal expression for your car, do your own designs. You have to pick from a plethora of designs and I'm sure someone over the net will have your exact design. Forza only offers 600 designs, yea, you should get my point.

CobratGt : do you understand what 600 layers of design means ?I don't think you understand how much it is. Have you ever done photoshop before ? Any graphics expert will tell you that 100 layers of graphics per side is enormous. MotoGP 2 players were able to reproduce most logo on race car from scratch with only 6 layesrs. I'm going to find some pic of what Motogp guys did with they bike. its' breathtaking what they did with only 6 layers of shape / text.

It's not because your don't like to trick your car that the option shouldn't be there. That why I said it's a shame that it's not there. Let's take for exemple if you race online and you specify a class or a type of car and all the cars look exactly the same. Have you ever seen a race where all the car looks the same ?

Understood. I don't think they will have specific car races though. If they do it would be Skyline, Evo, etc...where they have dozens of models to chose from. If it is a class race, well you already know of the car list...add to that different colors & wheels, and lic plate and it should be alright. I played NFSU online once and all you seen were rice rockets...nobody had cool cars. I'm glad I won't have to deal w/ that in GT4.

Yeah, they should have aero package like: DTM, JGTC, ETCC, BTCC(90's), LMES(ALMS), WRC, Pikes Peak Unlimited, World Rally Group B (80's), LMGT1(mid 90), LMGT2(mid 90) and others that i can't remember!!!

If you ever played MotoGP2 you would see how you can make very cook decalc on your rides. We had the HP, Pepsi, Dominos logos and alot more. Give me a few days to find some of the exemple we use to have. It's very cool and it's not rockets like NFSU.

Body kits are not just for ricers. Look at the talon or eclipse yeah looks nice stock. But if you buy an aftermarket intercooler the front bumper restricts a lot of airflow going to the intercooler. Solution: Either cut the front bumper (ugly) or get a new aftermarket one.

This is a disappointment (That no body kits will be in GT4) for me because I would love to drive a Toyota Supra decked out with the full bomex body kit, garrett t66 turbo kit and LOTS of mods. One would think that PD and KY would have jumped on the bandwagon by now.

There's a GT4 thread entitled "Just played Forza Demo", or something like that.
Read that and find out how fake forza is compared to GT4 or even GT3. I would like to drive the described car in my previous post in it's most realistic representation possible. I want to find out how good these tuner's cars perform.

Somehow I doubt that Castrolization will be an possible in GT4... With so many high-res cars it would be tough to do even a fraction of racing modifications as in GT2. I was pretty crazy over the mods in GT2 (wouldn't get a car unless I could Castrolize it), and it's a very nice selling point. Seeing that not a single screenshot that I know of had obviously tuned stock cars, I doubt the feature will be available. A shame.

He didn't say NFSU showed him what racing is about. He said he plays it and that he also knows what racing is about. By the way why do you guys hate NFSU? So what if it doesn't show true racing. NFL Street isn't what footballs about but it's fun, although I pefer Madden type games there is nothing wrong with it.

man u must be talking bout pre-'97 Eclipses....the '97-'99s have the huge frontmout cutout....and if thats not enough it has 2 side intakes which also help....i had a 24" x 10" x 3" FMIC wide by Dark Side Racing on mine. Moved to an XS Engineering FMIC that was smaller after a while. i definatly recommend the XS FMIC...its worth the money! 👍

They should make a limited series called Gran Turismo Tuner Spec. That would be sick with all the d1 cars and u can trick any car out the way u want it with all the high end jdm parts like tein, hks, apexi, c-west and all that. The game of nfs2 in gran turismo style would be so sick.I know u cant compare the two but u catch my drift.

nah...i dont think so....thats aesthetic tuning....rice means obscene body kits that dont fit right...this is well fitted by Erebuni...companies dont rice cars....well sometimes but usually not....and im sure the engine is almost stock since this company only does body work but it has potential....i vote that its not rice but its borderline.

No disrespect meant to Veilside, but don't a lot of their body kits kind of look out of place? I'm not saying they don't look good, but I'm sure someone could design some much simpler lips and canards that would be more aerodynamically appealing than what Veilside produces.

Veilside has a history of amazing body kits....look at the ones for the 350Z....they go from very subtle to flashy....but still retain aerodynamic quality....however, they have gone out on a limb a few times such as the one above....thats more for show than anything else but it is aerodynamic. hmmm....i'm not a fan of this particular one however....doesnt look rite to me...i give it a 6/10.
