What if the supposed F1 GTR is actually the road-spec F1 LM? That way they won't have to try to balance it for Gr.3 or stuff it in Gr.X

Would love for it to be this unicorn. But seems unlikely. The bonnet/hood mounted lights are a giveaway that this is the race going GTR and not the LM.

Five cars is a little thin, but not bad. Although, despite being free, let's hope PD doesn't start using the 'It's free so they can't complain about it' shield to hide behind from any criticism regarding their car choices.

Mostly GT6 cars returning but they are ones I like very much, personally. Still, I'll keep on saying it: let's start seeing some more new stuff from the suggestions. Mclaren P1, Ferrari F12, BMW i8, Maserati MC12, Porsche 918. Let's try to make an update with, at least, 30% new stuff.

Something tells me that the supposed Huayra could also be a Ferrari 488 GTB.
Happy with either the Huayra or the 'rari. :D

Hopefully the McLaren F1 GTR is a Gr. 2 car, because it will be really infuriating if it were a Gr. X car, and if that happens we shall RIOT!!!

It weighs 1050kg which is far beyond Gr. 3 territory (the minimum weight of Gr. 3 cars is within 1090-1100kg if I remember), so Gr. 2 is the likely the best car class it could be in.

Gr. 2 is slowly growing into an attractive race class but is still a long way to go...

It is a little thin but is thankfully saved by having some very interested vehicles included. Personally, and this is just speculation on my part, think this is a just a little snack to tide us over, before we get a nice look at a lot more new stuff to come that gets revealed during the Paris live event. I feel this latest dlc is was more about the Supra being made available and PD sprinkled some exisiting GT6 cars updated to GT Sport level to tide us over, since the last update was so long ago in GT Sport dlc terms. We certainly have got more goodies to come.

Like or not the F1 GTR will be a Gr.3, less downforce, roughly same power and a bit lighter than actual GT3/GTE cars.
(just a reminder that this is not the longtail version from 1997).

Gtsport can be found here in France for 10euros! I think it's time for paid DLCs. Poly deserves some money for this amazing support but I will never pay for microtransactions. So let me buy some DLCs with only post 2017 cars. I think it's the best option for Poly, they can't make us pay for a first gen Mx5 or any premium cars from GT6.

A thin update but the SLR, Huayra and a F1 LM are welcome additions. Still want to see more Gr. 3 and Gr. 4 cars. Absolutely not interested in the other two cars.

And Spa, so I can beg for another track than this.

It's more likely that the F1 GTR will end up in Gr.3 (which I hope it will unless they pull a curveball at us and end up in Gr.2 which is far fetched).

But I am excited because I can't wait for someone to do this livery.

I can do it for you

The F1 has no place being in Gr.2???

And the grumbling begins on what class will the F1 GTR end up to.

Though I'm fairly certain that the F1 GTR will end up in Gr.3.

The F1 GTR will probably be bodged into Gr.3 like the M3 GT2. The Gr.2 GT500 cars (especially the '16 ones) produce stupid levels of downforce and would destroy the F1

Actually it will still be a Gr. 2 car. The minimum weight of Gr. 3 cars are at 1100kg, and the McLaren F1 GTR sits at 1050kg. And plus it is fast enough to hold its own with the other Gr. 2 cars.

The weight problem is easily solved by aggressive BoP. 122% puts it on 1,281kg, the exact weight of the Alfa 4C under current Group 3 BoP. Understand that Group 2 is strictly reserved for cars that competed in the Japanese Super GT series. Since the last thing we want is for another car to end up in the dreaded Group X graveyard, a large amount of ballast is the only option left. Because you can't buff this car to Group 1 standard (if it was the longtail then maybe).

Why is that an issue, couldn't it just be BoP-ed with added weight? I don't see it being a good fit for Gr.2. But I guess we'll just see on March 5th :)

My main irk with road cars is that they aren't adequately used in sport mode.

If this update breaks down all the road cars in the game (plus these four + GTR) into subcategories that are seen in GT League for sport mode, and adequately balances their performance, it would be a great update.

Also, I hope if it is the F1 GTR, that it is the Le Mans winner. Because that was sponsored by a Japanese Penis Enlargement company, and seeing that in GT would be hilarious.

We need gt6 pp-points back for lobby racing to balance different N cars between weight and power. Wouldnt be accurate enough for sport mode but would make race for fun -rooms more diverce..
