Your Texans better beat the Jets really bad to instill doubts into Green Bay's psyche.

The NFC North will thank you for it.

49ers opponents averaged 1.5 points in the last two games...

WildKap coming at you!

Cards are better than the Niners. Mark my words.

The Cards are an 8-8 team. They won't make the wildcard spot.

In other news, Lauren Tannehill cut her hair short and dyed it red so that Ryan can give it to her like he gave it to Andy Dalton.

...we'll take it. I apologize my Texans didn't smack the living daylights out of the Jets with a huge score. However- a win is a win, and we won 23-17. So the next test was passed by the Texans. Now, it's back home to host Green Bay in our only Primetime home game this season. We'll actually be home to host the Packers next Sunday night followed by hosting Baltimore. Then after that, it's our Bye week. I still don't think we are any elite team by any stretch. Not once have I mentioned that the Texans would cremate every body all the way to the Super Bowl. Sometimes, you got to win ugly. This game was pretty ugly for the Texans. They still did pretty darned good. You don't have to win big in the NFL- you just have to win. This isn't college football, and this CERTAINLY isn't the BCS. We finally beat the Jets after so many times losing to them.

As for the Jets, I'm sure Jets fans are angered that the Jets failed again this season. NYJ has nothing to be ashamed of. Maybe a few missed opportunities at best.

Another week in the books. Bulls on Parade tonight, but it wasn't exactly a stampede.

The Jets suck. Dolphins AFC East champs lol.

Brian Cushing had a left knee injury in the HOU at NYJ game. Not sure what the official word is on him, but one Facebook commenter said that Cushing was out for the season with a torn ACL. I certainly hope we don't lose Cushing for the season. He's as big of a defensive playmaker as J.J. Watt.

The local news is asking the question: "Is the league's top defense... the best in franchise history?" (speaking of course of the Seahawks).

Let's see; after five games we already have half the sacks we did all last season, we already have half the forced fumbles as well. Our pass rush is downright fast and furious... seems to me like the only thing we are missing is the interceptions. But with this kind of pass rush, opposing QBs can't get the ball off ;)

Yep. Brian Cushing out for the season with a Torn ACL. Big blow to our Texans on defense. We might have needed him considering Green Bay coming to town on Sunday night.

Brian Cushing ranks really close to the top (or would it be bottom?) of my list in regards to least favorite players.

The Texans released Trindon Holliday (kickoff returner). Too bad he wasn't as effective in the regular season as he had been in the preseason.

It's still very early, but here are your standings heading into this weekend:

! = undefeated so far

--- AFC ---
AFC EAST: New England (3-2), NYJ, MIA, and BUF (2-3 each)
AFC NORTH: Baltimore (4-1), CIN (3-2), PIT (2-2), CLE (0-5)
AFC SOUTH: Houston! (5-0), IND (2-2), JAX and TEN (1-4 each)
AFC WEST: San Diego (3-2), DEN (2-3), OAK (1-3), KC (1-4)

--- NFC ---
NFC EAST: Philadelphia and New York Giants (3-2 each), DAL (2-2), WAS (2-3)
NFC NORTH: Minnesota and Chicago (4-1 each), GB (2-3), DET (1-3)
NFC SOUTH: Atlanta! (5-0), TB (1-3), CAR and NO (1-4 each)
NFC WEST: Arizona and San Francisco (4-1 each), STL and SEA (3-2 each)

It is still very early, so there's plenty of time for your team to make some noise and emerge.

Speaking as a Southern boy, I'm pretty happy both the unbeaten teams are Southern- AFC South's Houston and NFC South's Atlanta. We don't play the Dirty Birds this season. I do wonder who would win if Houston and Atlanta were to play this season. I always wondered if both were unbeaten, who'd beat who. Matt Ryan (or Matty Ice) is a solid QB. The Texans aren't slouches on either offense or defense. So the one thing I'd fear is the Falcons' passing attack. I saw that game-winning drive when Atlanta hosted Carolina. You go from the 1-yard line to come back and win it with a clutch 40-yard field goal with only so little time left in the game.

Who knows? If both HOU and ATL finished unbeaten (neither will be unbeaten), that might be your Super Bowl in New Orleans. Also, the respective cities of Houston and Atlanta are usually seen as two of the most miserable sports cities in America. So this would be a dream for those who love HOU and ATL sports.

Babbling over. Go have a nice day.

Falcons won't make the Superbowl. I strongly believe the Saints have a higher chance of making it with their passing game and a quickly replenishing defense.

Wow, just by game records the NFC West is the best division in football. And by the same token, NFC South is the worst (with Atlanta the only bright spot).

Titans on the road. Short weeks favors the Home, but we are a much better team. Hmm... 20-17 Steelers.

Have you all heard of the Bountygate deal and the revisions to suspensions handed out by Roger Goodell(?)? What do you think of the revised suspensions if you've followed this news?

True, but we fumbled versus Oakland when they were garbage to. We need to harden our D, our O is awesome.

Looks like the Steelers are heading to the Volunteer State tonight to take on the Tennessee Titans. Yep. Steelers at Titans for Thursday Night Football. This should be a pretty good one.
