Is Freeman trying to play football or soccer?

Whatever it is, it's terrible.

However now that I think about it, I'd rather take the safety than a fumble recovery and TD to the Jets.

Edit: Good job of responding Josh Freeman on that TD drive. Bears need to work on their D, but they should be fine.

And there's your Touchdown. Millner being stupid. Game over.

It was never pretty, but the Seahawks rallied back to beat the Panthers. I have to say, I was never a fan of Newton because I didn't like his attitude. But watching this game he seemed like a totally different player. Steve Smith was all kinda of fired up at his teammates when they made mistakes, though. But our team is always better in the second half, and we showed it.

On a similar note... anybody who saw this game can attest to the fact that our run game just didn't look the same. I seriously think that the loss of Michael Robinson is going to be huge on our ground attack. Most of our runs today did not have a lead blocker, and and a result our numbers were way down.

Dolphins Offensive Philosophy: Why run the ball when you can pass it? Good thing we can pass it.

I was wrong. Lavonte makes boneheaded play and Jets rally to kick FG in 38 seconds to win 18-17.

I know it is only one game but I like what I see from Geno Smith. He showed some poise on that last drive and irrespective of the hit David he looked good. We'll how he looks from here but if he play smart he will be alright. Hopefully we get blown out by the Pats next week

Buffalo plays typical Bills football. Blow up the Pats then choke.

As a Jags fan, I'm very impressed with the two rookies in EJ and Geno. Eric Reid, Alec Ogletree and Tyrann Mathieu looked very dominant.

I just wish the Jags took a QB in the 6th or 7th as a developmental QB just to give the Jags some hope but at this rate, it looks like we have to take Terry Bridgewater and not Jake Mathews. Yup, just after one game, I'm already thinking about next year's draft. Life of a Jags fan.

Eagles at Redskins and Texans at Chargers... both TONIGHT!

First meaningful Monday night of the season. Four teams, two coasts, two games, one night. First, the Eagles will soar their way into Redskins territory to take on the likes of RG3 and his boys. Then in the nightcap, the Texans will try to start their campaign to go further into the playoffs than what the past two seasons have brought. But before you can make a playoff run, you must first reach the playoffs. Houston's journey begins in San Diego for their only Monday night game this season.

According to Yahoo! Sports, WAS is favored over PHI by 3.5, and HOU is favored by 4 over SD.

Monday nights just got interesting again. Enjoy your football, and best wishes to all teams.

I don't know if you like this idea or not Chqr, but I read in a copy of S.I. that someone brought up the fact that the Jags need a QB....and since Tim Tebow played at Florida he would be able to draw a crowd. I kinda like the idea of the pairing, but that's just me.

No Tebow for me. For sure, he'd help fill up seats but as a long-term investment its not going to work. And there's no way our new GM and HC will handcuff themselves with Tebow.

I don't mean to wish injury on players but I hope Gabbert takes longer to heal from this injury than planned. Not that Henne may be a difference-maker but he can throw deep and is an ideal west-coast passer and a strong fit in Fisch's quick pass-scheme.

EDIT: Gabbert's out for Sunday against Oakland. Hopefully, Henne will make it past the 50.

What?! A receiver pushing off a defender? Why I have never heard of such a thing!

But no, I did not see it. I was too busy celebrating a 49er touchdown.

Michael Vick is not going to make it to the end of the season at that rate though.

NEITHER QB from tonight's game will make it at this rate. Washington O-Line looked terrible.

A random quote from a Tampa Bay newspaper this morning: "Losing to the Jets is like losing to a parked car in a drag race."

That was easy! Yeah, right. Down 28-7 at the half to win 31-28 was a SERIOUS case of manning up. We did it, though. 1-0 the hard way. I even tweeted on Twitter that the Texans needed to wake up. And man... they did. Hell of a game. What can I say? And yes- cut down on the penalties. This is about the third-ever time the Chargers led by 21+ points at the half to blow the lead and lose.

Now I can sleep... but sleep happy! ^_^

J.J. is back. Cushing came back strong. Andre absolutely dominated. Foster dropped some passes but whatever.
Owen Daniels is back to his old self.
Shane Lechler is a huge addition compared to last year's punters... To bad we couldn't see Reed.
Shiloh Keo though <3

It is just one week. Your team(s) played just one regular season game. So... what do you think about the season so far after just one game?

Jets are obviously going to the super bowl. Did you see that 4th quarter comeback?

 jk
But really I was dissapointed with the 1st half for the Texans. They got yards but couldn't capitalize... they fixed it in the 2nd half though 👍

Well, yeah. The Texans were sleepwalking for the most part in the first half. I knew the bottom was falling out when you get scored on in less than 15 seconds. Even more so when the Chargers were piling on the points. Almost as if the San Diego Chargers were playing Sam Houston State rather than the Houston Texans. Gary Kubiak must have said something like... "if the Denver Broncos could come back from 21+ and beat the San Diego Chargers, we can too!" I think Denver's comeback was better than our comeback, but thank goodness the Texans man'd up and got the win. However you win- just win, baby! Numbers on Matt Schaub: 34-45, 346 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT. Philip Rivers didn't do bad himself: 14-29, 195 yds, 4 TDs, 1 INT.

My only recommendation... no more 10:00 PM Eastern games for the Texans!

Elsewhere...
* You know, I was rather impressed by T. Pryor's performance under center for Oakland. They did pretty well despite losing at Indianapolis. I was actually pulling for Oakland just so the Texans could have a little cushion early on among AFC South teams.

* I was surprised at the Jets' comeback win. A big break late in the game was that late hit Personal Foul on Tampa Bay. NYJ could have played dead and just move on to the next one. But, they held strong and won.

* 23-10 in Cleveland as the Miami Dolphins start out 1-0. I can understand winning and not feeling too happy about certain aspects, but I don't really know what to complain about when you win by 13 at Cleveland.

* I only saw a good bit of the first quarter of PHI at WAS. It was very fun watching the fast-paced play of Philadelphia. It was just too bad that opening PHI drive ended up in WAS' hands en route to a touchdown. It was basically fast-paced offense... all for nothing. PHI still won the game 33-27.

16 teams started 1-0; 16 others are starting 0-1. Game 1 doesn't make a season, but you can still make the most of this season to prove yourself as the teams worthy enough to play for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It's just one game. 15 remain. So keep battling!

Any more thoughts on the season so far?

The 49ers won in Week 1 and that was good. Next up is going to be a very tough test against the Seahawks in Seattle.
