Time for the Houston Texans to go to work. Tonight, Texans will get it started in Minneapolis against the Minnesota Vikings. It will be my first chance to see the Texans hit somebody other than themselves and the practice squad. Some of the incoming talent will have to prove they can hang in a series of Preseason matches. None of these games matter towards regular season material, so I won't be entirely bothered if we win or lose every game. It's the regular season that matters.

Maybe there is SOME incentive to wanting to play against Minnesota. Last season, the Vikings beat us 23-6 at Reliant Stadium. We can now return the favor to Minnesota. Sort of.

Nnamdi had one decent hit yesterday. It meant nothing, as does the rest of the pre-season.

IMHO, most spots are decided in camp, not in pre-season action.

It was 27-13 as the Houston Texans went into Minnesota and beat the Vikings. A big second half put the Texans ahead for good. Congrats to the Texans. Of course- Preseason games don't mean anything. The next two Preseason games will be back home. Next Saturday, it's the Omnis vs. JohnBM01 special- Preseason style: Dolphins at Texans.

Dolphins dominate Jags. Jaguars helmets are a complete joke. Hideous. They need to change that paint job ASAP.

Can't wait for the season to start. I love what I'm seeing out of our guys. Just wonder who's gonna get cut because we have a lot of high class guys from college ball that will probably land elsewhere. Philbin doesn't stand for any crap and puts together a great team. Only 3 penalties tonight: two roughing the passers from garbage time scrubs; one personal foul, the punishment for which was a benching for the remainder of the game.

And our white uniforms look freaking awesome.

Only thing I'm real concerned with is that they have yet to bolt down the starting o-line. They can't consistently hold together a pocket for Tannehill. Wish John Jerry didn't get hurt.

Tim Tebow's birthday is today..... in related news, Tom Brady apparently has suffered an injury today.

Ready for another slate of Preseason games? About to kick off shortly will be the San Diego Chargers at the Chicago Bears on ESPN. My Texans will go to work Saturday night at home against the Miami Dolphins- big new scoreboard and all.

Remember- these games don't mean anything towards the regular season. It's just grooming, Spring Training, or whatever you want to call it. Just hope players (especially critical ones) don't get injured for if they play in the Preseason.

My team will lose in the regular season too so this is just warming up for an epic clownshow.

I will probably watch some of tomorrow night's 49ers and Chief's game. It is always nice to be able to watch the Niners. It was tough not ever getting to see their games during the bad years, especially since the stupid cowboys are always shown in the Oklahoma City market, even when they are terrible.

NFL Network is showing highlights of the Dolphins at Jaguars Preseason game, and I must agree- those new helmets for JAX are horrid. I love the Jaguar design on them, but the real deal breaker is that two-tone gradient design. Just make the helmet either black or gold; NOT with this gradient design. Or even better, why not have the gold gradient like a single stripe across the center of the helmets?

I don't really remember who all got drafted, but I didn't know Jacksonville picked up Denard Robinson. I liked D-Rob in college back at Michigan. Since he's playing for an AFC South team, it means that my Texans will get a chance to rattle his brains some twice a season as conference foes.

There should be some more Preseason matches tonight. So good luck to your team(s) if playing tonight.

I feel your pain brother.

Dolphins at Texans tonight for preseason football. We will have a little homestand here. Dolphins tonight; Saints next Sunday afternoon. T.J. Yates and Case Keenum will battle for backup QB role for the Texans.

Enjoy some more preseason football, folks.

Texans can't score on the Dolphins starters. Lol.

DUSTIN KELLER NO!!! Freaking punk Swearinger took out his knees. Freaking scumbag. The loss of Keller could be catastrophic for this offense.

Never thought hearing losing Keller would be a catastrophe.

It was 24-17 here in Houston as the Texans took down the Miami Dolphins. Of course, these are Preseason games, so this win doesn't amount to anything. I do hope the Texans don't keep shooting themselves in the foot with penalties.

As for Miami, I heard they have a real brutal schedule to start off. Their schedule begins at Cleveland, but look at this stretch afterwards: at Indianapolis, hosting Atlanta, at New Orleans (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL), and hosting Baltimore. All leading up to their Bye week. I'll actually be surprised if Miami has a winning record after that five game stretch. Good luck to the Dolphins.

My Hawks are doing what they do best. Run up the score against a top-notch team. So far they've scored on all three fronts (off., def., and spec teams). Browner is having one heck of a game. Everyone who has to play us better be scared, lol. We are forcing turnovers left and right.

...and that means the Seahawks at Texans match this regular season. Like I said before, don't ever take any team lightly in the National Football League. The SEA at HOU game will be more like the MIN at HOU game from this previous season. It would be easy to sleepwalk and end up getting smacked on the football field. Don't worry. My Texans likely are going to take the Seattle game as serious as any other.

Ouch (Post #237)... On a lighter note, did you see that would-be pick by the New York Giants that ended up being a touchdown catch for Indianapolis by Reggie Wayne? Who cares if it's Preseason? That has to be an early candidate for "Play of the Year."
