NFS Hot Pursuit 3

They chose to give racers some tools to get away... you need to have 4 ideas, you got 4 good ideas?

The Overdrive is one of the best ideas they have, spike strips and EMPs for racers is just weird to me... Plus, Overdrive is essential because all cop counterparts are tuned to be faster than the racer counterparts by nature.

if you were just speaking about the regular boost that every car has, then whatever, it's been in since Underground, deal with it...

TRUE! I just finished my mid term too!

I celebrated by cracking open that PS2 I picked up from someone for $30 (which is a steal, like it or not), popped in Hot Pursuit 2 and couldn't put it down. Today is a GOOD day!

aside from that I failed the 2nd event 3 times in a row... and It was only a "drive to the finish line" with a Speedster... just goes to show how much harder older games were...I hope this game has some of the damage physics in hot pursuit 2... the slightest bump or nudge gets you losing control..

The more video I watched on youtube, the more I want to buy it. I am really upset with Shift, and I should have bought the PC version not the PS3 version. One thing I concern about HP3 is the frame rate. Some videos look choppy when too much effect in one place. In fact I can't wait for the demo coming next week. If it looks bad on the PS3 again, I will get the PC version this time.

Was police boost on cops in HP2?
I've got it on PC and don't think the police have that...

will this game support steering wheels.Or is it joypad only.
The physics are pure arcade, are they not.

I really hope you can bypass the "Crashed/Busted" scenes that happen like you could skip the "slow-mo" effects in HP2. It's getting annoying to see everyone that gets wrecked automatically do barrel roles.

BOP had support for wheels (I think) but I could use a wheel.

It did. But it sucked.

I don't think HP will be as bad as Burnout with a wheel, infact I reckon it could be quite fun.

Aswell as the 'Road block scenes & spike strip' because if I can see the moment it's activated, how fun would that be?

I'm riding along and it tells me of a roadblock. I don't want to know, I want to test my quick thinking. Well we'll see from the demo on Tuesday.

the cinematics will never appear online, it's impossible in real-time...except when you bust someone in interceptor mode, because it's just one car.

the NFS website revealed just about the entire list of cars now.

regarding your car list, you might want to make a few corrections:

the crs you listed as "pre-order bonus" aren't exclusive to the Limited Edition, it's unlockable during course of the game. The Exclusive cars only in a copy of Limited Edition is the Alfa 8C Competizione and Shelby GT 500.
You also spelled Koenigsegg incorrectly  it's spelt: Koenigseggseggseggseggseggseggsegg

Ok another noob question. I know cockpit is out.
Do we get a bumper or even maybe a hood view.
Thanks

bumper cam is a staples for just about every racing game.

yes hood view is in... CG doesn't do much when it comes to car interior work, just look at burnout paradise.

play the demo, because they are taking out the demo on release day.

why is this happening? Because when you run your full game, it'll look for a HP3 save, if it finds it you get 500 bounty, which isn't a lot considering one impact takedown gets you 500 bounty.

edit:
Why do I get the feeling that someone is going to start some leaderboard war months later in the game? Bounty is basically experience points, the real reason behind bounty is to unlock more cars, weapons, etc. But given that you probably won't be able to lose bounty, Someone is going to try and brag about how much bounty they earned when really it just means they played more frequently than others. I jsut hope Bounty isn't taken all that seriously in the community, I better alert my other forum buddies... can't wait until 8opm today. I'm feelin' good knowning that my lecture got cancelled... one less classs to think about.

Anyone play this demo yet?? Today is just insane with games and demos. Overwhelming. As soon as I leave work I am picking up Fable 3. I will try to fit in some time to try this demo but dang what a busy day.

I don't think it's up yet for PS3, i've checked both the US and EU PSN stores.

The physics are nothing like what I expected them to be. Whenever you bust a racer, no, they don't always rollover...that's dependent on where (and how hard) you hit them. Only two cars available for Pursuit - the Crown Vic, and 370Z. Both of which sound absolutely fantastic. Already I can tell you (with surefire certainty) that HP tramples all over GT5 in the sound department, alleged audio improvements or not. Haven't done the race yet as you need a friend to participate with.

Definitely a first-day purchase even more so now. EA should permanently contract Criterion to take the helm on all future NFS games, because as usual, the Burnout boys do not disappoint.

Thank you!

I already have my CE on Pre-Order, but this is great news for me. :dopey:
