When is the eu demo up?
I am very impressed by the physics. Maybe it's me, but they definitely feel like they have some weight to them & you can't just fling the cars in any direction at will. I think I will be very happy with this one.

Does the demo play well with a wheel, or is it more Burnout-y in that a gamepad gives you the best experience?
Definitely a first-day purchase even more so now. EA should permanently contract Criterion to take the helm on all future NFS games, because as usual, the Burnout boys do not disappoint.
Then there's the music. Whereas the old games had lots of electronic/synth influences, now we have what can only be described as the score to Transformers 2...I miss the 90s![]()
This feels nothing like Split/Second. In fact, this is very close to the feeling of HP2.So disappointing. As an avid fan of NFS II through NFS Hot Pursuit 2, this game is the exact opposite of what I would've expected. Criterion said they were heavily influenced by the original, but this just feels like Split/Second to me. From a racing game developer with a strong track record, it's all a bit underwhelming.

HP2's driving model was grippier. I mean, it wasn't endless grip, drifting was involved, but there was a lot less understeer. When I play the demo, I literally bounce off the walls because my car cannot physically change direction fast enough, no matter how quickly I turn the wheel (especially the 370Z). They don't seem to keep up with the road ahead when things get twisty, which is kind of a dealbreaker for me...but to each his own.
What worries me is that this lack of sharpness and quickness of steering has become a growing trend in arcade racers. Blur, Split/Second, and now NFS have all had this problem...hopefully TDU2 will be a breath of fresh air. I guess I'm in the minority here, anyone else noticing this?
I hate the physics, I feel like I'm driving a tank around and not a 370z. The added weight of the cars is overwhelming.
From where I stand, you're all alone on this one.
People complain that arcade physics are too "arcadey" (whatever in good hell that even means is beyond logical comprehension), now that arcade racers are beginning to blur the line just a bit, what happens? More complaining, this time about it not feeling like an arcade game - honestly, people need to make up their mind, or just shut up. That's not directed toward you, but come on...it's nothing but complaining about games these days.
That's a lot different from the way Split/Second likes to drive. My point exactly.
Wait, you can't stand the physics in HP but you like the physics in Sega Rally Revo and Ridge Racer? So...you like the ULTRA arcadey physics like HP1 and HP2. Although, HP3 is a bit like those, but with a little more weight to the vehicles. At least now it feels like your driving a car instead of a matchbox toy.
