You've just organised yourself and saved me the trouble, I know this will only end up with good results now! What I was thinking was just posted on the thread and the OP will be updated as it goes.

Just add that you have a microphone in which can be used, if not simply don't mention it. :)

Add me to the list. I haven't been playing much because some local friends talked me into playing dirt2 with them on the 360, so this would give me a reason to get into shift more. I really do like shift much better, but it's also fun to beat people at dirt that you see in real life.

Errr, there is going to have to be two servers at this rate, a max of 8 players is not going well. All the Aussies here need not worry about a bad time such as 2am because Turbo Lag is obviously organiser and is from Aus.

I think we may need two people to host.

Example Time and Person:

Australian Eastern Time (GMT 10+)

Time: 6pm Australian, I believe it would be 1am in somewhere like Las Vegas?
For this time an American would more than likely not be able to come and we would have an Australian Host with good internet (eg. Turbo Lag).

Example 2:

Time: 11am in Las Vegas (Sorry I dont know U.S.A that well...) which would be 4am on the Australian East Coast. For these times we would have a good American Host.

Those would be the two servers, people would go to which ever session suits them best and all would be well. The 8 player limit would hopefully not be reached either.
 
To be honest sometimes it's better to have unplanned nights. We can have a weekly meetup, and we'll also have another certain set of times that we're all mostly on so that we can still meetup with other players at different times throughout the week.
 
Count me in - squasher10 and I do have a mic, just need to get around to tuning some cars to the set values as all my favourites are close to max tune for the 'ring
 
We've found that Silverstone is the best for playing around because of the wide space and open areas. We'll meet you there.
 
A cautionary tale. I was online for a few races last night with a few of the ukog and gtp guys just doing random races with random cars. I have to say jumping into a unfamiliar high powered car on an unfamiliar track is probubley one of the least enjoyable experiences in Shift LOL No fun at all, just frustration....then a car or track you know is seected and you switch to one of the best online experiences there is. So if your hosting a lobby try and pick cars everyone has if your doing same make restrictions or at least a track everyones faamiliar with.
Oh and as a fun race pick one of the Tier 1 cars and the figure 8 track (the demolition cuircuit with the crossover) It's absaloutly priceless to race on. Allways good to let of a little steam after a few intense races.
 
I've decided to hold off a proper organised GTP meetup until the proposed update is out. However, we can still meet up on Saturday if anybody is interested.

You guys can count me in, most of you I already have in my PSN (jswilli1). I am only at Level 16 but running Pro and no aids. I am just starting in Tier2 and have not tried Online yet. I do have a MIC.

Yeah DC pops up in my Tier 3 and it shows he owns the times. A little something to work for :mischievous:. See y'all on the track:tup:

Having a GTP tag is akin to having a big bullseye on your back, I can hear them talking about it on their microphones!
 
How did I miss this thread. Count me in, it would be nice to actually race online in NFS:S and not play bumper cars. Feel free to add me to your PSN...

I can usually be found in a Porsche or BMW on the Nordscleife, Spa or Laguna. Since this is a new screenname for me I've got no friends...

How about tonight (sunday) 20:00hrs?maybe 3 laps at spa and then 2 laps on the ring?1st lap a race and 2sd lap a bit of a cruise....staying in the position you finished in the race? Or any other suggestions?

Yes indeed! Kids and wife to bed, perfect night for racing! :lol:

Anyway, tonight was fun again, but after 5 laps on the Ring my brain felt like exploding. :P
