That guy is using steering assists. The wheel on the screen does not match his wheel.

Also is steering sensitivity is not good (but it might be due to the assist is on)

Sometimes it looks like the car is going the opposite direction and that's why i say this.

I hope the camera angle is not misleading me.

I agree, looks weird like having set a great deadzone.

I really hope the game controls isn't like shift 1:nervous:

Just want to ad something to this...many of the tv's/older monitors have inputlag, so you have to check that its not that too. Some tv's have huge lag so its not the game its the tv.

I have a good tv, and I tryed the shift demo and the controls are just like this.

Found this on French version of GTP :)

Apart from the fact that the driving is awful and the track model is way off (yeah I said it), this still looks to be a winner to me.

It's difficult to get a feel for the physics until we see some descent driving, but what the hell I'm probably going to buy it anyway. With F1 2011 not coming out until September, I'm going to need something other than GT5 to keep me going until then

@CarreraGt

Everybody knows some tracks might be off here and there and WHY its was programmed that way.
Nothing new...

Out of curiousity, why was it programmed that way? It appears to only be an issue of width, are you saying they deliberately widened the track for the sake of fitting more cars side by side on the track?

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else, I must have missed something along the way. Last I heard the developers were claiming that all of the tracks had been modelled using GPS data...

Who's lying, Denis?

If he is the guy driving that Radical and since he's been posting our beloved videos (help to pass the time) here I take his word for it. Of course my apologies.

But then, I'd like some comments on his feel while diving. It does seems weird to me. I already explained why it seems that way to me.

There is an interview somewhere where they said, after using the CAD data to make the track, they take pilots feel about the track and change that. Also every change must be reported and approved by someone (copyright like stuff)

Just traded in my Wii to GameStop and got $222. So I preordered and paid for NFS Shift 2 and have $151 left. Looked at GameSop's website and it cost $148 for the DFGT so I can get one!!

No one seems to understand this unfortunately. Give the dam game a chance people!

What is there to understand? They changed some tracks to the point there are almost unrecognizable. That is a big deal to me. If I race on Nordschleife I want to feel like I'm on it, not a wide rolling country road.

@ MildAshers, I'm not sure what you mean by that either. I don't see how they can justify modifying the tracks simply by saying that the changes were approved by real drivers...

It would only take a real driver 10 seconds to realise that the Bathurst model is off, so they have obviously widened it deliberately. Whether this is to accomodate the AI or to make it easier for the casual gamer I'm not sure...

Im not denying that the tracks have been adjusted based on these videos. But claiming they unrecognisable? Silly.

I know you aren't denying it, I just don't understand the reasoning for changes of that degree. And I said almost unrecognizable. I watched the Nurburgring video, walked away for a couple seconds, came back and had no clue where on the track they were.

I'm a little upset by this as you can see. i planned to buy it but I'm not so sure now. Track models are the most important part of the game for me.

Yep, if you arent paying attention, its very hard to tell where you are on the ring. But we knew that trqcks will be not even close to the real thing from the start, so no surprie there. Just gotta live with it.
