Sweet! You see, if you can't do crashes right or even decent don't do them at all. Better off concentrating on other things instead of wasting time doing a half-a$$ed job. Hey Kaz and Dan, pay attention.

I am not sure how multiple flips and flying 20 ft into the air after sliding into a gravel trap is doing crashes right.

You can see how the car that crashes doesn't brake for the corner and is travelling at around 290 km/h when the car behind him brakes, so that Mazda was probably going around 300km/h when it hits the sand at a slight angle. I'd be more worried if it didn't catch a good amount of air from that.

Complaints about steering wheel wobble are easily solved by messing up with the settings. I've got my shift1 copy back yesterday and it took me 2m to get the feeling on my g27 just right. But i'm just echoing. I really don't understand the repeated scepticism.

One curious note about playing Shift 1 yesterday (got my copy back :D). My 9 year old daughter used the wheel and the first race she did was at Spa with the Cobalt SS. Easy AI, all assists off except braking lock, auto gears, and cockpit view... she FINISHED the race in 9th place and concluded it this way "I like this game better than the other".

Now guess which game was she referring to and tell me how can I look over Shift2 when a 9 years old girl clearly sees the difference :D

I guess the difference is that I could never get Shift1 to that point.
Even with settings from this very forum, it was never really right, so I abandoned the game very early on. Those settings had me messing with both car and wheel settings, and it was kind of a pain.

Care to share some rough rough details on your settings?
I'm in the mood for shift, and wouldn't object to giving it another go.

'' The other " means GT5 ? 💡

the video of the car list shows that there is no alfa romeo giulietta in the normal dealer so it's limited exclusive and also the silvia and the lambo are not in the game.

That is the worst version of Nordschleife I have ever seen. Wide and long sweeping corners. What did they use to model the course?

Tracks arent really replicating the real one, however they feel a lot more real than the one in GT5. There's so many things going on aroudn the track and god night racing is like twice as good as GT5.

Found this on French version of GTP :)

The Elise seems to handle pretty well. A shame there are 2 nasty frame drops, one @ 1.50 and one at the end of the straight 2.01. Another one, even bigger at 4.11 :grumpy: I'm concerned with the frame rate.

If frame rate for you is so important you should buy pc version to be sure of smooth framerate, for xbox is now sure.. i don't think that for ps3 will be different.. maybe something less.

Feel like its the video...i have no drops at that time but 10 sec later and 10-15 sec sooner. The video above is more fluid and correct so its just the recording.

I dont remember the framerate being poor on Shift 1 on Xbox...cannot see why it would be poor now in 2 as they have had more time to optimize...could it be Youtube causing these problems?

I didn't say the exact moment but a few second earlier to let people recon the difference. I can't buy S2U for pc yet because even if I'm running a few titles at 60fps, my laptop wouldn't be enough to run this game smoothly. The only thing I can do now is wait some feedback in the forum, go rent it and give it a try. I still hope it's only youtube but..

Ok, after watching that Corvette @ Bathurst vid, I know its gonna be glorious!

If the racing action is as thrilling as this, who cares about the imperfect things, its still gonna be the adrenaline rush of the year. I was biting my nails just from watching that vid, I actually thought "🤬, wheres that lambo?!" before he took the last corner... :dopey:

Days -3... Oh Lord!

Unfortunately, yes.

@reaperman, my settings:

Please keep in mind we're talking about shift1 so there are no miracles but at least I can go straight "look, no hands mom" style :)

Anyway, this is what works for me (top to bottom)

That guy is using steering assists. The wheel on the screen does not match his wheel.

Also is steering sensitivity is not good (but it might be due to the assist is on)

Sometimes it looks like the car is going the opposite direction and that's why i say this.

I hope the camera angle is not misleading me.

You can change the degree of the turning wheel, the game simulates 900 but he could have it on 360 say?
