I hate Mondays !!!!!!!
Triple 9 is very impressive Ricky. Well done.👍
Yeah, the re-race at Silverstone was a complete disaster for me with the framerate problems. It improved a little bit about halfway through the race (I think addictions dropped out). To show how bad the slowdown bug affects my gameplay... most of the race I couldn't do any better than a 1:58.xx lap time. On lap 9 I managed a 1:56xx... In practice during the week with you arvore and others I rarely was slower than 1:53.xx.
I might just delete my current Career and start over in hopes that will remove whatever is causing the problem.
Even without the headset I could tell you were having some serious issues because every time I raced you & Arvore this week one mistake would cost me the race. My recommendation would be to bite the bullet and get another Shift since GT5 is a year away. My game is track penalty sensitive but I've never experienced a slow down or frame rate issue.
P.S. My PS3 is a new generation slim design. Could a older version of Playstation have anything to do with the slow down or frame rate issues?
My only question is... can I delete my saved game files and earn the Aston Martin DBR9 by the weekend? I doubt it with my schedule...
That was my concern when I first experienced the slowdowns in Single Player Career mode. (this was back in October). Since then I've seen people with both the older and newer machines complaining about the same problem.
I actually think it has something to do with the G25 Wheel. Of the people who complain about framerate/slowdown problems the vast majority have G25's. I've complained to EA and received a generic answer to delete my same game and start over. My follow-up questions went unanswered.

And as for the G25 part done ven say that again becase if this G25 turned out to be the problem i will not play shift again as i can not and will not go back to the hand held pad no way!!!

Hog,
Instead of working and paying the bills. I have been watching your video's all morning, how do you record the PS3?
Darkos is right, its a firmware problem, also a framerate problem, my advice, deleting save game wont work, deleting game data wont work either, Hog found out, just exchanging one set of headaches for another, doesn't matter if you use a wheel or a pad, same issues occur. wait until after next dlc see what happens, maybe things will smooth out, deleting everything is just making more work for yourself.
(I think addictions dropped out).

arvoreAnd i guess my "it takes pratice theory" was confirmed since you managed the 1:51,xx at Silverstone GP afterall...
:
He is totally rite about the save game but my new copy of shift does not have slow down on the last 3 corners of laguna seca unlike my other copy , the only way to minimize chances of frame rate problems is by making less data for the ps3 to have to load online IE all vinyls striped off all cars sell any cars you do not use, untune and turn back to standard the bonus cars things like this.I did this and i have to say i did notice a difference for 2 or 3 races untill i started to fill up my cars with stickers and stuff now its back.
Hi All,
I will be there this coming weekend, had to miss ths weekend due to family illness. Week 3 would have been perfect for me as I normally race the British tracks with ShamAlert. So I will be practicing week 4's tracks every evening this week, if anybody wants to join me.
Any recomendations for a Rating 6 car for London??? credit is no problem, I have loads as I normally race manufacturer.
HELLO HOST
👍
Javed my man i would like to strongly advice you to hardwire your ps3 directly into the modem, surpassing the router to get at least a type 2 Nat connection to provide a steady lobby for the weekend,i always do that for the events, despite being a relly arse pain to have a 20 metter ethernet cable throught my living room with dogs involved, and if you do you'll see you'll have a much more stable connection, but even then it's not D/C free👍
