Well I had a very good race and this is totally due to me being more at home with hard to drive and unpredictable cars becase I have to concentrate 100% unlike easy to drive cars were my attention and concentration starts run off quite quick and I start thinking about other things and before I know it I am all over the track.

What the hell are EA games playing at, I really do bloody hope it is a new DLC there uploading for all this aggravation there causing me.

In that case i may as well redo race 2 as it was only 10 laps for me also if that is ok.

Sunday's make-up races were such a blast! My heart was pounding when I got in the lead at Ambush. I just kept saying over and over "take it easy, don't mess up" and that's all it took to pull my attention away from driving and Manny got by me. By the time I had messed up a few more times Manny was a solid 12 seconds ahead of me. I was about to settle for 2nd when I shook some sense into my head and said "Catch him!!". Well, I didn't, but Manny went off a few times and that brought our split to within 3 seconds. What a tough track/car combination.
Silverstone was just as exhilirating. I had Aldo in my sights for almost the entire race with adddictions breathing down my neck.
Waiting. Waiting for someone to give him an opening. I felt like "the hunter" and "the hunted" at the same time. On one lap I was ohhhh, about 0.01 seconds behind Aldo on the start/finish straight and lost my line and went off. So it was up to adddictions to get past "the wall" that Aldo is. I think The HOG passed me as well, and I ended up getting that position back as he went off, and I once again found Aldo in my sights. We ended up finishing 0.500 seconds split.
Dakota was another great race with me following NC_2_VA. He was a wild man and was making a few mistakes, especially on the last corner. We made contact once but we both came back on in the same running order. I finally managed to get past him, but the leaders were well ahead of me.
I'm still shaking my head at getting two fastest laps.
BY FAR, the best racing of the season for me. Thanks to Manny for getting all this going.👍

I had an absolute blast tonight! The most fun I've had this season apart from maybe that one race with adddictions at brands hatch a couple of weeks ago...
Ambush Canyon: Absolute nightmare, tough car and with the bumps... Very messy. I was DC on 7/8th lap.
Dakota GP: Fun race where I was in the lead until someone bumped me on the turn to get onto the start finish curve
Silverstone International...: Oh my god this was a good race! I was leading until lap 8 where I was hit because I braked too early which let Adddictions past and then he was flying! Femki was right up my tailpipes for a couple of laps but mostly the last lap! I was pooing myself that I was going to mess up!
After race at Dakota again: What can I say? 1st by 20 seconds somehow. My Evo 8 is perfect for that track. I could throw it into any corner and come out clean
Race at Brands hatch: Me and Adddictions were fooling around at the back, having some fun! On the last lap came a moment of comedy gold courtesy of myself when I said "Watch this drift...!" I threw the Exige into the corner at full whack. BAM! Onto the gravel and straight into the wall! To cap it all off, I heard adddictions pee himself laughing over the mic
It was great to finally be able to talk to you guys with my mic, especiially Manny at Silverstone where he said he would hit adddictions off on the last lap and I offered him payment for it 👍

What can I say race 1 I still hate but got a new PB.
Race 2 was fun.
Race 3 was immense great going you guy what a battle and remember the R8 lingers in the tyre smoke waiting, Oh yes waiting mmmuuuha ha ha haaaaa.
Great season lets keep it hot. I'm off to bed for my 1.4 hours sleep before I go work.

I made exactly the same mistake I made on Saturday in that race. I was +12 seconds and thought, "OK, take it easy... no mistakes now". And of course shortly after that thought... I went spinning off the track on that curve right before the bridge!

I didn't seem to have as many problems as you guys did. I thought it was pretty controllable, but I always let off the gas right before that big jump.
Yea it would have been a bit better if I was not foot to the floor all the way around it was fun all the same coming off the jump full throttle in 4Th then down shift to 3rd in mid air full throttle and hold on for dear life its on hairy ride I wish I got some footage to include in a video as it looked good.
It was great to finally talk to you Aldo, and you're right the races this evening were excellent. That race between Javed, HOG, and I at Dakota was a perfect example of how great this game can be when it's not driving us completely out of our minds.[/QUOTE]
That was a good race you had me on the edge all the way mate all night i have been trying to battle you but i got held up battling back of the pack so it was good to race you again in Dakota you pushed me to the limit most of the way round.

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]Well the end of the second season in the Shift GTP League has come after some excellent, competitive and largely incident-free racing this weekend. Due mostly to good luck on my part, bad luck for arvore and an unfortunate no-show from RickyRacer, I managed to snatch the title this time. Like I told arvore, I feel sort of funny about that... kind of like the guy winning the door-prize at his own birthday party. Congratualtions also to arvore and addictions, who scored a Season podium finish with an excellent performance at Silverstone International today. [/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]More importantly despite all the drama in Season II, I had an enormous amount of fun with you guys in our practices and weekend races. I'm also very grateful to the guys who stepped in to give me a hand, or just moral support when I was under the weather or busy with work. That's what friends do, and you guys showed your true colors.👍[/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]After careful consideration I've decided to continue the League with a third season which will start at the usual time on March 20th. I will post the race schedule on Monday the 15th. Maybe by that time EA will have released the promised DLC and we can try out some new cars.[/FONT]

Congratulations to Manny for his first league championship! I've always thought season two could have went either way between Arvore & Manny. They are not only fast but more importantly very consistent every week 👍

I thought that season last a month, so in just 3 weeks of racing i would be unable to defend my title, because i miss the first week of racing, but since there was 5 weeks instead of 4 I'm thinking different. There was solid chance for me to win this thing again. I would never bet manny and arvore to win since i was removed. I thought that Ricky Racer would blast this season because he's performance with GTR in Silverstone and DBR9 in R.A. Not even a podium Ricky ?? 
Anyway congrats to Manny, i hope you know that winning is about taking pressure on your own shoulders. That's thought but only man can pull this thing off. 👍

Technically I didn't get 3rd as in race 3 on saturday with all the commotion about restarts through my mic I quit when I was in P2.

Well not such a good race for me I forgot how at home I am with the car and got to close to sham and got a bit of bounce and clipped the side of sham sent him off then turned to go off the track to get out of everyone's way and ended up clipping manny sorry guys.
Then coming out of the tunnel I took the inside line and sham must not have seen me and cut across and sent me into the gravel and once your in the gravel with that R8 its like your pulled into a vortex that sucks you into the wall I hit hard and did well over a 360 and ended up facing addictions there was nothing he could do so ended up taking him off.
Then I basicly focused on lap times but I was cut short due to a D/C.
Not the best race I have had but I enjoyed most of it all the same.

Manny regarding third season-and I know this is your garden i'm just giving my opinion- I think we managed to get a satisfactory number of players so in order to keep this healthy and friendly inverement for the league I suggest season 3 would be invitational only,and if anyone new would like to join he could join the pratice sessions during the week,know people and our ways,give himself to be knowed by the other guys and if all goes well he would be allowed to join the next season.

Maybe take the quicker and slower lap times of the weekends races to determine the week aheads lobbys? 1 Fast lobby & 1 Faster lobby. This way we'll get really close racing. Just a thought.

I think it is a good idea!
But in this way "fast" racers can't learn from "faster" racers (ideal turning line, turning speed, etc.) but it would couse closer races it is true.
And what about the results? "fast" racers can get the same point as "fasters" after 3 race? Just think about it, it can happen: a "fast" driver can beat a "faster" on the final scoretable even if he is slower...
