Every time I put in a really fast lap, on any track, in any car, it's always because I'm not trying to go fast. It's almost always a surprise.

Actually that's why I often don't do well in the League races. I try too hard and it inevitably wrecks my rhythm and smoothness. When it's just a few of us fooling around online, I do much closer to what I'm really capable of because I'm much more relaxed. (Hmmm, maybe I should do what HOG and SteveO do... throw down a couple of beers before race time.)

👍 Only had four cans so far probably six by racetime 👍

I'll take your place in the third race if it's O.K. with everybody else, it will give me a chance to get my feet wet in pro mode online racing :)

It's fine with me if it's fine with Manny and everyone else. And BTW, don't be afraid to tackle a track with us that you may not know (Donington GP). These during-the-week-practice-sessions are just for fun, not bragging rights.

I'll do all of the tracks if their is an opening, I do know Silverstone like the back of my hand but the other two not so good......

Ugggh. Got bumped just as I'd taken the lead at Silverstone in my Favorite car, the DBR9. God, how many times have I seen that posted by someone in the past 4 weeks! Now I know how it feels. :yuck:

I don't understand it though, I always hardwire the PS3 for the league races. Oh well, real racers blow engines and transmissions. In our case we lose connection.:grumpy:

 I was afraid of losing connection in the first race because I was doing so well

Gutted I couldn't race in the last two, was on form tonight

Yeah that was a good race... but we ended up doing the whole 1st race again, because so many got kicked off. Don't worry though we'll count the race. 👍

:( I never knew about that! Does that mean I lost my first place and fastest lap? Gutted if I do

I never got an invite back :ouch:

No you'll get credit. Not your fault.

I seem to remember that I sent a couple of invites to you as soon as I realized you had left, but then femki lost his connection and everyone got kicked off. arvore had to take over hosting, and I think you might have been offline by then. I don't recall seeing your name on the board.

It was a VERY confusing night.

Woohoo, done quite a bit of practising for that

I didn't realise that the Ebisu race was being done again due to problems and I assumed the Donington race with the Porsche was up next (which I don't have yet) so went offline. My bad I guess.

darkos nice time on Donington. 👍

I knew after I mentioned getting under 1:30 in my earlier post, I would jinx myself! :banghead:

group B had lots of connection problems.
myself, i have to laugh at the first 2 races my car wasn't responding correctly at all, steering was severely lagged out, brakes did not work properly, felt like Helen Keller behind the wheel, mercifully i got kicked out.
3rd race was ok. after signing out then back in again.

Guys im taking a week or two off league, working on a shift related project.

Altought it was a little bit confusing in the beginning with all the usual connection issues :ouch: overall it was another nice racing night...👍 we still didn't heard from NITROVIOUS group but from the chat room it seems things went more smoothly...👍 so again another step into perfection for the next league events.

I want to make a reference to SteveO fairplay since we waited for me at donington after pushing me out, involunterly, with prejudice to his final race position...for that cheers mate:cheers:

I was really looking forward to a good old fashion dogfight with you at Silverstone since it was my only track I really knew of the night, Silverstone is one of my favorite tracks and I could tell I was going to have my hands full since you was right on my a$$ after the first section. Right before you got kicked off our little bump sent me wide eventually making me skid across the infield. I just hope nobody thought my infield excursion was done on purpose, getting use to racing without steering assist still bites me once in awhile...

These irritating slowdowns and connection issues are very bothersome to say the least, i wonder if it is because of multiple invites going out all at once, honestly i rarely have the kind of problems online racing like i experienced tonight, usually my connection is quite solid.
Maybe if lobby once made, host slowly invites 2 people at a time, race 1 or two laps, then invite 2 more and so on, im guessing this may give everyone a more solid connection. but who knows.

No worries R.W but remember when you get knocked off the track you should re-enter the tarmac as soon as you regain control of the car and not keep driving throught the grass...never the less it was a deserved win you were the fastest afterall...👍

races were pretty good tonight, the 911 and DB9 just dont suit my curb hoping full throttle style

i managed to get 2 of the races on video but not the silver stone race as my memory card was to full, i will upload them to YouTube tomorrow.

as for problems all i got was a little bit of slow down and that's it also my cars didn't handle like they should have the steering wasn't as responsive as it should have been.

Then after the league race i got cut out of a race with nitrovirus which was a shame as i was having fun hey nitro max respect for that lambo tune you can power slide any corner with that second gear and the acceleration up to 6Th gear is unreal, IF ITS NOT SIDEWAYS ITS NO WAY that is the motto i hold for your lambo tune
I only use it for certain tracks but i am going to take it out on more tracks so i can get better with it.
So far i have tamed it on London river, spa and willow springs were i think the lambo performs by far the best out of the ultimated category.

I actually learned a lot today, the first race at Ebisu I just absolutely got smoked and was never better than 1:12, then on the restart I discovered I had a Porsche 911 RSR and pulled off and disqualified myself. But going into Donnington a track I wasn't too familiar with I pulled over to make sure I wasn't a factor in a negative way and got a chance to follow Steve and found out the correct braking points and followed his lines, by the end of the race I was starting to feel pretty comfortable :)

This happens too often... R.W. I'm sorry. I didn't even know we made any contact. I didn't feel, or hear a thing. I though you broke too late and went wide. :ouch:

The problem is, to make a clean pass you have to get fairly close. The problem is, I'm thinking I've got 20 feet to spare, when the game thinks I'm right on the other guy's bumper. I'm going to have to be more careful and just assume I'm driving a race car with a 20 foot long front end!

A reminder for those in Group B (NITROVIOUS's,group)... I need your race finishing positions and times so I can update the scoreboard.
Thanks and g'nite

No worries Mate, I've raced online enough to realize that sometimes I know I've been at least a car length away from someone and they started spinning like I just T-boned them with out ever feeling a thing.

Besides your the reason I got to be a decent driver at Silverstone. You probable don't remember but one time you posted that you knew you were going to have an average lap time if your first split time wasn't in the 24's. After reading that for some reason I became obsessed with Silverstone and must have run 50 laps trying to perfect the first corner and the following S turn :)

THX, I did that lap in Colin McRae driving style "all or nothing"

I don't know if that could help future racing but, don't you think that maybe headset's also could cause problems ?? Definitely this helps communication, it's way much better than regular chat but i think that might cause some problems for some of you guys. I just discovered something yesterday, and it's way to important to keep it for my self.

After first race on Ebisu i did turn ON my headset and immediately that might cause my disconnection. I suddenly realized that i did the same thing on Nordschleife Race in week earlier !!! But didn't think back then that this could be the cause of my disconnection until that happened again.

On Nordschleife i was leading race with good safe time difference, and didn't want to feel lonely during rest of the race, i decided to turn on my headset, and PUFFF :dunce: i was gone. Needle in the heart, that was the feeling. So no more headset for me.

But i think it would be great if we could test that theory in real life, I'm proposing 10 lap race on any track, first time with Headsets ON and then second time we set up the lobby from the scratch and invite all players again but this time with Headsets OFF Anyone interested ? need at least 8 players.

You copycat! Same thing happened to me but I got half the Silverstone race.

Same thing happened to me on Donington race. I did let the guy past after though.
I cant stand when that happens. Collision detection is so poor some of the time.
I will update this post with results.

Group B (Nitrovious's group) results
I had to take a screenshot from the video for these two and I dont have a way of getting the photo from my phone to the interwebs for the DBR9 race so I will type it.

Ford Cosworth race:
cossehrace.jpg

Fastest lap: me again by some miracle!
The video for this race should be good as you'll see me getting shunted sideways then someone go onto my roof!!!

GT3 RSR race:
gt3rsrrace-1.jpg

Fastest lap: me
Unfortunately the others got kicked for some reason I was gutted NC_2_VA got kicked because I had made up the 8 second gap and just when I was near him, he disconnected. It was shaping up to be a great battle.

DBR9 race:
Player/Best lap
1) NITROVIOUS / 1:42:130 (FASTEST LAP)
2) JonesyGT246 / 1:44:100
3) NC_2_VA / 1:43:420
4) Aldo_GTP (ME :D) / 1:43:190
