You copycat! Same thing happened to me but I got half the Silverstone race.

:lol::lol:

Mr. HOG
you drive that lp640 exactly the way it was meant to be driven.
was great watching you powerslide the corners:tup:đź‘Ť

Thanks mate its the only way to drive the lambo IMO, its a wickid tune i love to drive it, but i didnt do it justice on silverstone or donnigton as there tracks i raely play.
nice work nitro

No worries Mate, I've raced online enough to realize that sometimes I know I've been at least a car length away from someone and they started spinning like I just T-boned them with out ever feeling a thing.

Besides your the reason I got to be a decent driver at Silverstone. You probable don't remember but one time you posted that you knew you were going to have an average lap time if your first split time wasn't in the 24's. After reading that for some reason I became obsessed with Silverstone and must have run 50 laps trying to perfect the first corner and the following S turn :)

Me and my big mouth! Just kidding of course

NITROVIOUS
Guys im taking a week or two off league, working on a shift related project.

arvore
Hmm....can you give us a heads up in that secret project...:mischievous: just curious you know...

Yeah NITROVIOUS and I have been trading best laps on some of those tracks for the past few days. :)

Unfortunately for me, several of the tracks Laguna Seca and Ambush Canyon for instance, have game slowdown problems that make it impossible to be competitive on them. :indiff:

The contest is really a tuning battle as much as a driving one, as you have to set your car up specifically for the track you are running on to get good times. It's pretty fun.

I'm now level 41 so have the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR :D Rematch anyone?

Since the next race is the end of the season, does the score board go back to zero? Or just continue on from where it is?

Season Two if we continue will start from 0 points.
----------------------

And i don't get it that GGL, how this competition works? We post times some ware, or we race witch each other? There are groups and players, i don't get it at all !:grumpy:

The current standings after Week 4, as well as Group Assignments and the schedule for the Final Week of Season 1, have been posted on page 1 of this thread.

Congratulations to Jamie-C* and R.W. on their first wins:tup:, and condolances to those who got kicked off the servers. đź‘Ž

*(Jamie-C and arvore were both credited with wins in the Ebisu W. race as Group A ran it twice due to connection problems. ):)

These irritating slowdowns and connection issues are very bothersome to say the least, i wonder if it is because of multiple invites going out all at once, honestly i rarely have the kind of problems online racing like i experienced tonight, usually my connection is quite solid.
Maybe if lobby once made, host slowly invites 2 people at a time, race 1 or two laps, then invite 2 more and so on, im guessing this may give everyone a more solid connection. but who knows.

I started thinking the exact same thing last night! I sent out invite after invite really quickly and my PS3 froze up! I've never had this many problems playing online in smaller groups of 5 or less. I was very frustrated (with SHIFT) last night. And I was SO looking forward to the RSR on Donington, got on the back stretch well in second place and got kicked. That was when the wife reminded me that I had to be somewhere in 10 minutes. Really disappointed I didn't get to run in that race.

I would also like to suggest that we do not make the host random, but more grouped on a geographical/continental basis. I don't know if that would help, but it may since we are all so spread out.

Manny, since you run two groups, how do you figure out points? Do you combine everyone's total track time into a master list and come up with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc from there?

That might be a good idea. I thought about that in the early weeks of the League, but I resisted because I enjoyed racing with the European guys and MrB52 from Australia.

During last 4 weeks, 18 players manage to collect 432 points. Every single point is dedicated to hard work made by MannyMoenjack đź‘Ť

I think you should be awarded for that with some sort of forum trophy

I'm curious, is there a reason I got nothing for the Silverstone race? If there's a reason, I'll accept it.

Damn, I'm all teary eyed here darkos. I haven't had been honored like this since I was 14 and the Fairfax Bowling League awarded me the "Most Improved Bowler" award.:lol:

But seriously, thanks for sentiments. I do appreciate it. đź‘Ť

Will you accept the reason that I compiled the point totals on only one cup of coffee this morning? :dopey:

I'll correct the error. I done gone and fixed it already...

Manny just to let you know, i will be the host again this Saturday but on the random generator you have me listed as GTP_SteveO1965 but i use SteveO1965 when playing shift, i would not want people in my group trying to add the wrong ID.

Hey manny i think we need to discuss stevo's points penalty for ramming me off last night as me and manny clearly saw it happen :lol::lol: i think i should get his points for that race :lol::lol:

How do people start the race on here? I sit in gear with the revs pretty high and let the clutch out as soon as the lights turn green, I always seem to get the jump on the about 2 cars from the start.

Just wondering if I do it differently from everyone else? Even when I'm in a public lobby I'm able to take a position or 2 from the start.

i just wait till the gear indicator goes green and hold it then exactly on the green light i nail the power.

I used to think i got the jump on everyone but then i remembered some people use Tc which limits wheel spin off the line.

Hey, I never noticed that! I'll be sure to correct it. đź‘Ť

I totally agree it was clearly a violation of GTP League Racing Rules, Article 4, Section 7.... and according to the rules SteveO has to forfeit the use of his cursed Lambo Gallardo tune for next weeks race. Darn shame...:lol: Although, I did hear him inform you that your Right Rear tire was going flat, so a big thumbs up for sportsmanship. đź‘Ť

Well, I used to use Shift's green launch indicator all the time, but it doesn't give you the fastest launch with all types of cars. I do it differently now on most of my cars, but I'm not telling anyone exactly how... :sly:

Try turning auto clutch and TCS off and flooring the accelerator as soon as the starting light turns green. Don't worry about keeping the revs in the green zone.

Nice footage there HOG đź‘Ť ...nice racing(seems to be much more trickyer with the wheel... :scared: ) can we expect the other ones to come?

Thanks yes there is donington part 2 uploading now but i didn't get the silver stone race as my camcorder decided it was full up on memory.
I will post the second vid as soon as part 2 is loaded to YouTube.

Was it Aldo that was doing a video as well ??

Very smoothly driven HOG.đź‘Ť in marked contrast to me! I looked like an advertisment for ill advised passing. :yuck:

In spite of my own performance, I like watching these vids. There's always more going on than you realize at the time. đź‘Ť

Yeah I was.
How do you split it into two parts? I'll try and get my vids up soonish but I've got a fair chunk of homework to do tonight

Nice video mate my bum looks good in it :)

So i did touch you on turn one :(

yea but its ok as i messed up your race and mannys at silverstone when i span a 180 and for that i apologise, i would have sooner but had forgot about it.
I went to take the corner and dropped down from 5th to 3rd but i hit 1st instead and span.

You were probably afraid I was going to end up in your back seat! I was getting on my own nerves just watching it.

You mean Donington right?

When I use the H pattern shifter I do that at least once a race. The gear slots are so close together!
