Great racing guys, i was leading race three but lost my connection

i didnt recieve any more invites after that so take it that was the last race?
SteveO,
After we lost you on that third race, we Quit the race and went back to the lobby. Like Aldo said your icon wasn't lit up so I could'nt reinvite you.

I then enabled the DLC like I should've done the first time, and we ran the 10-lap classic musclecar race.
Darkos
I't would be a good solution for lag vid. frames problem to split the group of players into two groups.
Now maybe no one will like my idea but I'm seeing this like that. Obviously there are faster players ans slower once. So maybe we could set up a
stronger group like F1
and slower one like F2
If there is an 6 players in each so Every each week the last two players from F1 will go to F2 and The fastest two players from F2 will go to F1.
Think about the motivation for last two players in F1 to not to be in last places And the fastest players from F2 could have a chance to compete with those better once.
Now i know that might seem to be unfair because how we determine the skills, setting the time in Time trial it's a different story and being hit by some one in real race would end a good run for every player no matter if he's fast or slow. I'm thinking that this is called brain storm, just write your opinions and maybe we will find other better solutions
Well I think we definately need to do
something, as the lag/slowdowns made the first two races impossible to drive fast or to enjoy. (I normally have no trouble with the McLaren, but I was ALL over the place in race 1)
Darkos,
I wasn't sure I liked your idea when I first read it, but after thinking about it for a bit, it
does have some very good points.
If the point of this is to have
friendly and
competitive racing then the closer the driver's skills are to each other in each group the more fun it will be. No one enjoys running around 10 laps with no hope of winning.
I also like the fact that as a driver improves his skills, he can be rewarded with the bump to the higher group.
The only other alternative that I've been able to come up with is something like a small Playoff system.
- The racers would be randomly split into two groups.
- Groups A & B would race two races, with the three best drivers from each group based on finishing position, advancing to race in a third race to decide the overall weekly winner.
The obvious problem with this would be coordinating things, as we are spread out all over the planet. So this is probably not workable.

I'd like to hear any other ideas you guys could come up with.
NITROVIOUS has kindly agreed to host next weekend's races and pick the cars and tracks we'll be running, so as soon as he's sent me the info I'll post it here.
