I gotta visit the inlaws this saturday so I'll see you guys next time.
Why? Did you do something bad?
See you then.
I gotta visit the inlaws this saturday so I'll see you guys next time.
I can't pull myself away from it to practice for these races!
I think I might be on race pace though because at Willow Springs, I managed to get a 1:19 after 3 laps in the Lambo Murc and I know exactly where I can improve.
Ok thats true... I read MrB's time as 1.17
Oh dear...
Hopefully, I should be able to make the races on Saturday.
The only thing I worry about is lag/slowdown issues like we had last week. Today I raced arvore & MrB52 and one other guy in manufacturers cars with no slowdowns whatsoever. It was just like racing in single player mode, and a lot of fun.
I'll be very surprised if the Willow Springs and Laguna Seca races go smootly with all that speed. If we do have problems we should either just split the group in half and have two hosts each weekend or only run manufacturer's car races which is apparently easier on the processor.
As much as I like tuning the cars, I'd rather have the full group race together in slower cars, than two halves racing seperately in fast cars.👍
just drive willow springs in the murcielago LP640 and at first i wondered what you were all talking about with the car jumpin and then it happened and didnt stop happening.
It is bad at times but there are ways to go over the patches in the track with out the car jumping.
Yeah, that's what I have to do too. Just try to avoid them, and above all avoid hitting them with both front wheels.![]()
I too have found Willow Springs particularly bad, I avoid it like the plague when playing Shift but I guess for a race meet, we're all in the same boat.
Aside from the bumps (moguls is really a better description), Willow is a fun, challenging track. On the other hand, when you are several laps into a race it really is a drag to find yourself airborne and heading for the tire wall. Unfortunately, there's no parachute upgrade in the game.![]()
Yeah agreed i also think the stock cars(without extreme upgrades) behave in a more realistic way and allow a much more competitive and even online racing and thats whats this league is all about no?
If the goal is fastest times you have to fully upgrade your car and we already have the R.T TT competition where we can fully upgrade a car and go for top lap time in TT mode alone in the track and giving several goes to put a perfect lap no matter how manny mistakes we did in the process...and that is also very nice and from now on i will deff. give it a try.
But in online races speccially in long races like we did at SPA(10 laps) it's all about consistency and control of the machine avoiding any mistakes while not being to conservative to keep going fast...and thats much more possible with stock cars...
My suggestion is that tomorrow after all the schedulled races we give this a try and work the league format based on the conclusions reached by the community, never the less Manny pulled up this event-Which we all are greatfull,i'm sure- so the last word on rules and format should be his and i'm sure we all(or almost all) will abide to them so i'm just proposing we give it a try and brainstorm on that...💡
Sorry guys but i cant guarantee to be there tonight, it is my wifes birthday and we will be going out for a meal this evening, i will rush her and try to get back in time![]()
Get her to race, we all know she's faster than you![]()
The slower cars are much harder to drive in my opinion and require far more finesse and driving ability. With stock tier 1 cars, it is all about keeping momentum and picking the absolute perfect line or lots of time will be lost. There is no get-out clause through massive acceleration or unbelievable grip. I guarantee you won't get a fast time sliding one of those around the corners!
