Canucks won!

Oh yes. One period at a time, one game at a time.

Patrick
I'm not worried. We have to win one game they have to win three. :) Quick had a bad game too.

All my Canuck friends (I live near Vancouver, and I'm an Avalanche fan) say they will take it in 7. Oh how I laughed.

Well I still know the odds are grossly is LA's favour but you never know. The Kings had absolutely no answer for the Sedins tonight and no answer for their powerplay. If it wasn't for one of the worst checks I've ever seen (Raymond on Kopitar) then that was a 3-0 win. The Sedins made Mitchell look like a rookie and that's not an easy thing to do, he's my favorite player actually.

We should win back home game 5. Daniel gets a bunch more rest and practice time in before that game too. Assuming we win game 5 you now have a team, in the Canucks, who is starting to think maybe we can do this.

Game 6 I think is where LA takes the series but if the Canucks can pull that off I don't think the Kings have a hope in hell in game 7. If the Kings let the Sedins have the room they had tonight in the remaining games then yes the Canucks will win this series.

I know they're long odds and I know all that has to happen is a bounce here or a bounce there and the series is over in 5 but to believe the Kings have this in the bag is a bit dillusional. The Kings have lost 4 straight 2 separate times this year, the Canucks have not. All it takes is a Quick groin pull and this series starts to look a whole lot different.

All it takes is also one goon who can't play hockey at all (Lapierre, Rome?) doing a dirty hit on Quick, and the series could change dramatically...

Both those guys can play plus we don't have any Ducan Keith, Raffi Torres, or Brad Marchant type players on the team. We have pests yes but nobody that intentionally injures.

Why no LA-VAN until Sunday? :(

At least Philly should be able to destroy Pittsburgh once more, unless they do a Boston. ;)

I'm ready to see Shea Weber, Pekka Rinne, Gabriel Bourque and the rest of the Nashville Predators finish off the Detroit Red Wings tonight at Bridgestone Arena.

This Detroit team has been pretty dreadful, they need some better goaltending.

Here's a quick look at the series leaders:

I won't be able to watch either of the games live, but I'm going to record a game tonight. Probably PIT-PHI. I think Pittsburgh can win one more, especially because they're coming home after a big win.

Still can't believe that Bruins lost to Caps last night. We had double the amount of shots on goal than they did, and still lost. So, 2-2 and I wouldn't be surprised if we go out to the Caps.

If it wasn't for Tim Thomas we'd not stand a chance.

Detroit got bounced by the Nashville Predators. First team to go home, first team to advance. More games this weekend. The Predators won 2-1 over the Red Wings last night as Detroit got 86ed from the playoffs.

Who else will fall, and who else will advance? First round ain't over yet!

St. Louis will advance after they sent the San Jose Sharks packing. The Blues (beautifully blue Blues) took down the Sharks 3-1. So no San Jose in the next round thanks to St. Louis.

Nashville and St Louis I expected and if Ottawa pulls off one more win I'll have no problem pointing out I did call it. :) Although now I've said that the Rangers will probably win just to make me look like an arse.

I wonder if Lindstrom has played his last game? If so that would end one stellar career of an absolute class act.

Now I'm a cheerleader for both Phoenix and Washington. Both of those teams I never thought would have a chance but are both just one win away.

I wish the Canucks were in a better position because this may be one of the best first rounds I've ever been around to see.

I expected a better series by Jersey, they will lose to Florida. And Ottawa will win it's series, the Rangers don't look like a number 1 seed.

32 seconds in and Giroux already snipes on Fleury

I was gonna watch this game on NBC instead of TSN for a change, and because I like Doc Emrick and Pierre Mcguire is funny sometimes, but it's two other guys doing the play by play so I nope.avi'd back to TSN and Gord Miller. Unfortunately, Ray Ferraro is on TSN but whatever.

I think Marty is losing it. Hopefully cats kill it in Jersey.

Gord Miller is the best announcer, though Bob Cole doing Habs games is fun. Anyways, I play NHL Faceoff 2000 if I want my Doc Emrick fix. Though the no goal if you have a player in the crease rule keeps me away from that game. Anyways, um... I want the Pens to lose because I have a strong dislike towards Crosby.

Bob Cole sucks. He's worse than Don Cherry. I remember a few years ago before Marcus Naslund retired, Toronto was playing Vancouver, and Naslund had a big game. Bob called him "Mats Naslund" the entire game .

I like Gord Miller, but TSN's colour commentators are a little weak in comparison. I never liked Pierre Mcguire that much, but after he left, Ray Ferraro took over, and he's worse. Jim Hughson's good too, I like that he's more anti-fighting than most of the announcers.

Malkin just potted one on the PP, 3-1 Flyers now.

EDIT: another Flyers goal. 4-1 now.

Yes he is the worst commentator out there by far. I can't stand him. He somehow knows all of the Maple Leafs' names but whenever he does Canuck games he can't remember names for the life of him. He is famous here for, "And they play around with it down there." Now what exactly does that describe?

My favorite by far is Jim Hughson and I was so sad to lose him to CBC but I'm very happy the Canucks have been favorites the last couple years so we get him for the playoffs.

Just under 5 hours to game time here. I think around now all of Vancouver has started to hold their breath.

Penguins are done after a 5-1 victory for the Flyers in Philly. They take their series in this playoff battle for Pennsylvania.

Well there goes the Canucks in 5. Stoll in OT, that has to be one of the most entertaining games I've ever seen.

That was a real goaltending and defensive duel. Just awesome, Schnieder and Quick were both just lights out.

These playoffs are interesting. It used to be that the lower seeds never really had a shot at beating a higher seed, but times have clearly changed. Shows how a salary cap can somewhat level the rink. Also shows how series aren't won on paper.
