No easy transition from one's death, but elsewhere in the NHL, the Pittsburgh Penguins extend their winning streak by beating the Montreal Canadiens 1-0 in Pittsburgh. That's now about 13(?) straight wins for the Penguins.

Not a bad game in Pittsburgh. Teams both played well, all 3 goalies had great games (Vokoun played the 3rd after Fleury got injured in the 2nd). The only goal on Price was the best player in the world taking a perfect shot on a breakaway, not much you can do about that. Tomorrow's the big game

Are you seriously going to tell me Datsyuk is better than Crosby? I get defensive play is good but Crosby is outscoring Datsyuk by 20 points after only 30 games. It's not even close.

Yes? For me in BEST it means, defence, offence, faceoffs all that stuff. So Cindy Crybaby is not even close. Also he was the 1st overall when Datsyuk was 171st, that means to me also. He proved everyone wrong.

The problem is that the gap between Crosby and Datsyuk defensively isn't massive, and the gap between them offensively is. There is no area of the game either player is bad at, Crosby just happens to be massively better than Datsyuk offensively and there is literally no comparison between them. If Pittsburgh offered a Crosby for Datsyuk trade to Detroit, Detroit takes that deal before Pittsburgh's GM sobers up.

I'm not ragging on Datsyuk at all, he's IMO a top 5 player in the world, but to call him better than Crosby is ridiculous, despite how much of a sissy or crybaby you think he is.

663 points in 468 games for Crosby, or 753 points in 764 games for Datsyuk. It is not even remotely close. 1.41 points per game vs. 0.98.

I'm not taking anything away from Datsyuk, his dangling is probably the best of all time and he's an amazing player, but he's not better offensively than Crosby. It's just not true.
