NISM0's 240 Thread: Still Around

So you went with 15x8 +25 all around?

Either way, any shots of the fitment? I know 8 inch wide with a 0 offset is about flush on a 240sx, so these should be fairly close.

Also, are you planning on picking up a pignose lip? Those things make the old front ends go from ugly to awesome.

I have a few shots, but I have to get some better ones. The rear is perfect, and the front sticks out a tad.

I have a pignose lip, It's just a dark blue so most shots it disappears.

Kinda jealous of the shark nose lol.

Guess I'll have to go with the big mustache now.

It won't stick out once the car is on the ground. I've got 17x9 +17s, and they don't stick out.

Pignose looks good, I like it more than the Chuki bumpers, but only if it has a lip.

You should totally spray that lip some color though, it really does disappear and it just looks like you don't have a lip, which doesn't really look that great.

I thought those were available in white?

Glad I could help! Anyone who ever needs Enkeis...contact me.

oooooooooh shark attack! I had not seen the pictures of the car with the teeth! It's gonna look awesome with the Enkeis.

Great freaking choice.

No :(, but the grey is growing on me. I'm just going to leave them. And yes, if anyone need Enkei wheels, contact him, or even me now.

I know, I'm hoping it will look awesome. Just waiting in my funds to pick back up. I figured if I'm going to do something different, just do it all up .

That looks bad ass dude, I love the shark teeth on the nose, very WW2 :)

Thank you. I'm glad on the way it came out. I've always been obsessed with WWII, so it's even more awesome.

Just out today.

BIG NEWS!

My friend and I are planning on building his Focus into a rally car. I wanted to just get a whole different car, like a Volvo or something, but he was deadset on the Focus, whatever. We're just planning right now and thinking about everything we need. He brought is car over yesterday to replace a CV joint. We thought we'd just drop it out and pop the other one in. Well, he got here at 5:30 yesterday, the day ended at 11:30 with us driving him home. It's currently 6:13 the following day, and his car is still here. It's been a project. But, we both know it's only be start of a long build.

Night Work by NISM0_SKYLINE, on Flickr

A few people came and went, all stumped.

It turned out to be a well know Focus flaw and he needed a press to get the spline out. Him and my dad did most the work. I'm more the photographer and other driver . We should be nearing the end of this little hurtle today though, hopefully.

I see that the usual Ford Finetuning Tool was needed too.. (big hammer/axe etc) I've needed those too back when I had my Ford.

And that didn't even work! We hammered away for a good hour of two. He finally just took the whole hub and had someone with a press to get it out. Fun times working on cars.

EDIT:

So we got everything back together and got him on his way. But the noise we were trying to fix is still there. So we spent two days for nothing, as the says it. Whatever, it was fun and gave us something to do.

Yup, it's a genuine Ford alright. Heck, I once hit my coupe with the hammer on the roof due to my frustration with it.. And it didn't even leave a mark, and it wasn't a gentle tap. :ouch: If only the rest of the car had been as solid.. :irked:

So, I'll be heading to London in about two weeks. Once I get back, I'm going to get tires, finally. The main reason is ModelZone. Anyone who has been there knows, I have no idea how much I might spend there (probably not much) or anywhere else in the city. BUT, once I get back I'm definitely getting tires.

I'm waiting until I get back from vacation to buy the tires. It wasn't a cheap trip and I don't want to spend anymore money right now. I'll have them soon.

SO, as I wait for tires, I've been thinking about paint. Over time, I've grown to like the pale blue dot paint. Although, it doesn't really fit in with the mouth. Then, BAM, it hit me. Winter planes! I mean, it's already a pretty out there car already so why not? I know that a lot of people do the olive drab and forest camo, but not too many have winter camo, Jon Olsson aside. So, I'm thinkin' when the time comes, it's going to look a little somethin' like this:

Haters gonna hate.

Okay, I give in. Do good camo - preferably American pixel camo - and then put a more traditional shark mouth on it. That would be gnarly.

Single color+Shark Mouth>Camo+Shark mouth.

There will be just too much going on with the paint. I'd say go for a desert tan or a winter blue or even an urban grey.

This. No camo, just freaking flat dark gray with the mouth you have right now. It'll look pretty wicked.
