NISM0's 240 Thread: Still Around

Why rush to get autox tires during winter? Keep an eye on them to go on special early next year.

Yep, I'm going to wait until March or so when it starts to clear up again to get the tires on. That way, I'll have the rest of Spring and Summer to play around. Other then that, there's really nothing planned until then.

Um, my friend and I are going to enter a Time Distance Rally this January, so that should be cool :dopey:.

Yay GoPro!

And here I was, thinking "Hey, this guy has a 240, something cool is gonna happen in this video", and it never came.

Do love my GoPro though, just wished it filmed better at all at night.

I'll have some of the 240 come soon, that was just some test runs to work.

I agree with the night part, I filmed a whole road at night, and it looked pretty bad. Oh well, it will bring much fun for awhile.

What model of GoPro is that? Have you compressed it? The quality is pretty crap, I was planning on buying an HD Hero 2 and I was expecting better quality than that...

I have the Hero 2. It's crappy quality because Youtube sets it up at 360p right off the bat. Change it to 720 and it'll get better. I haven't messed around a lot yet, but I can get it u to 1080.

I still have the original HD Hero, not the Hero 2. I heard the Hero 2 films much better at night. If yours did poorly, then that gives you an idea of how bad mine films at night.

Yea, my night video wasn't too great, but it was on a dirt road so there wasn't too much light aside from my headlights.

So today is 1/3, and what does that mean? It's S Chassis month in the Speedhunters world. They're asking for people to send in their cars to celebrate (?) the day. I made it in the first batch :dopey:.

Check out the whole post though, there's some awesome cars in it, including a 240RS!

Nice job man. Having your car featured on a site like that is an accomplishment you can always look back on. And I like how they didn't pick only mint looking cars too. They picked some ones that have actually been driven and enjoyed :sly:

Thanks guys. It's pretty cool, but I only made it because of the order we sent them in. But either way it's cool to see it on there.

Yea, it was cool to see.

So my dad and I decided to have a little fun today.

The GoPro finally met the 240. I know the video is pretty lame, but I could not get it to hook up and I didn't want to piss my neighbors off too much.

Which then followed by a photoshoot.

It seems there's always that picture of the guy with his arm out the window.

Great pics mate, lovely car. Something fresh after all these bnsports/326power/vertex stuff.
Are you implying that a stock bodied 240sx is less common than one with Bnsports/326power/vertex?

Nismo, You need a pair of snow tires. They make all the difference, I was driving an open diff 240 in 7 inches of snow.

Yup,

nah what i mean is, i haven't ever seen an s-chassis done with this styling. And thats a good thing, because seeing the same kits on these cars with the same wheels is getting really boring imo.

I'm assuming you see 240s mainly online on "stance" websites, because stock bodied 240sx are by far the most common variation of 240, in both general "around town" situations, and track events. Same goes for pretty much every other car ever made....

Liking the look of your car 👍

Just an idea if your keeping the steelies and that look, how bout making the front wheels black and keeping the rears white??

I think this took too long, but it's finally done.

I didn't realize how much different they would be.

Finally!! by E_Delaney, on Flickr

Ah, now the exterior is just about done. All I need is to get it painted and we should be done.

As soon as I finished, it started to rain like it always does when I have something planned so I should have more pictures later. The good news though, it doesn't seem like it'll rub, after I took out the front wells, the scraping was gone.

:D

That's what I've been thinking....well realizing. The wheels I've been looking at are some SSR Professor, Ronals, TE 37s and such, but they rarely show up in 4 lug. I have found some, but they are pretty expensive and hard to come across. I think though I'll put wheels lower on the list since they're so many choices and ways to get them.

try drag or rota
drag v2
v2_wheel_black.jpg
its a te37 knock off

rota drift grid
GridDiftBronze16x8.jpg

also a te37 knock off
