Nissan Silvia Fan Club

he already had a gazelle (oz spec) with a SR20DET conversion, but that was very dodgy (he bought it like that), so he sold it. personally i would rather have a S12 over S13 because there arnt many good ones around

yeah, it is sometimes abit of a drifting state, the other day i was travelling through a industrail area and i saw a S13 sitting on the side of the road with its rear wheel folded under. its not real uncommon to see that

When are you going to get that lip resprayed?

i have 2 cans of spraypaint sitting in my garage, just been too lazy to take off the lip and respray it. i'm just going to take it off and install the cheap coilovers i got, then drop the whole car down all the way. i'm sick of the lip ripping off sometimes anyways.

just resprayed and remounted it, but i think the passenger side of my front bumper is canted inward a bit as the lip hangs down, i'll get up the pictures as soon as my friend is unlazy and sends me the pix.

after thinking about it, i'd rather just keep the lip, i love the way the front looks with that lip on there. with just the stock bumper, the car looks all happy, then when the lip is on, the car looks mean as ****...i love it...

I gotta do something about my lip, that reminds me. Mine is all scuffed up from scraping on driveways and such. I think I'll take it off, clean it up, and put down some black spray paint...

Before I even find this site you say you hate people that get true JDM cars over here, well I don't care I'm still going to have fun in that nice little S 15 when I get it to the states no matter what you all say!

what?

anyways, here's the pix of my car with the resprayed lip:

here is mine, a 93 240SX coupe
right now I only have 187hp but when I get my SR20 that will all change

Hm...I see you claim to have 187HP on your 240sx, but you have no pics of your engine. Or do you mean the HP rating at the wheels? or at the crank? The stock motor puts out 155HP...and you need more than just bolt ons to achieve 187HP.

well I have a pic of the engine when I first got the car, maybe I have a few things done:D

thats just an estimate of what my HP is, it may be less, or maybe more...

hm...i would like to see a pic of your engine, new or current. 187HP is already a HIGH estimate for a N/A KA with basic bolt ons..so I doubt its more. I would lean more toward less.

Ok well after that last post i saw your car domain page. How old is that engine bay pic? And I must say that the car is in very good condition :D What was the mileage when you bought it?? Anyway..this is what I found entertaining:

Bragging Rights
Quarter Mile: 11.6 s @ 93 mph->
Est. Horsepower: 168
Weight: 3419

Hm...running 11's at 93 MPH ...no major modifications, how does this work? Please explain this to me. The 168HP seems believable as you have intake/exhaust...but that combo on a 155HP motor doesn't get you into 11's

haha Why are you stressing so much over someone's claimed ricepower. He has a K&N airfilter, so we know its all legit  Plus, the headlights are in "lazy eye" and ram more air in than a turbo!

might be a dumb question...might not. i've always loved silvias and 180's, but on the 180 why dont the lights go down all the way? that cant be the way it was designed, right? does it have to do with engine swaps?

thanks in advance

um..the lights DO go all the way down...its just people do the "sleepy eye" or "lazy eye" mod. There are a few ways of doing this..a cheap way..or you can actually buy a controller. But no it doesnt have anything to do with engine swaps, its just something the driver does for looks. It could be functional too if the headlights were taken out.

thats on an 8th mile, there isnt a strip around here thats a 1/4 mile.

sorry for the confusion:banghead:

stop lying man =\=\=\=\

i run the 8th mile maybe about 15-20 runs a month at a track out here, i do 10.350 @ 69mph on average :P

93mph is close to what bikes and REALLY fast cars get on the 8th mile =\

my fastest time was a 10.292 @ 71 mph. there is NO WAY that you can run an 11 @ 93mph on the track, unless you have a really horrible lagging turbo on an engine that can't accelerate without the turbo. if your speed figure was true, you'd be at around a mid 7 on the 8th mile =\

links still arent working =[

oh, and if you guys wanna see how to do an S13 coupe right in america, here's how it's done. this is the homeboy adrian's white S13, that **** is beautiful. he has rims, but one of them has a flat tire so he didnt wanna just have 2 wheels and 2 blacks.

the other cars are mine and my other friend coy's S14.
