Cusco Zero-2 Coilovers installed
Posted this over at NICO, but I figured I'll post it here also:
For 2 months now I've been digging for a good set of track suspension. I was waiting on a shipment of Tein RA's to come in, but aparently my order was lost (I wasnt charged). Finally I gave that up and started looking elsewhere, which is how I stumbled upon the Zero-2's. I called everywhere and got quotes and shipping time lenght, and
www.vividracing.com offered the best time (1 week, free shipping), and best price ($1800). Jacky was a most helpful salesman and helped expedite this order.
I got the suspension sooner than a week, more like 5 days. The day it came in, it was installed. The installation took around 3 hrs, minus the time spent looking for some new hardware (finding fine thread metric bolts in BFE texas is nearly impossible). There was nothing difficult about the installation, unless you count having to bang out my old rear shocks with a rubber mallet due to them being bonded at the bottom.
After installation, I took it out for a quick test drive. Even with super jacked up camber it handled like a dream. I can say that the $1800 dollar price tag was well worth it.
For now, my car will stay at this ride height, until I find a reason (other than it being visually pleasing) to do so. If I wanted a uber JDM tyte low rider, I'd have saved myself $1400 and gotten some lame ricer springs. My car is only for functionality, and will never be a show piece.
Now, since 90 percent of you wont read the above anyway, on with the pics.
