Looks awesome and the paint does look good. 👍

Can't remember the name, but I believe my friend has the same exact XXRs on his 240SX.

Me gusta :D Those rims look really nice. Add a little camber and spacers perhaps?

EDIT: Nevermind, the picture makes the wheels look like they're straight.

There's a few flaws in the paint, mostly with the bumpers. The scratches in the front and this big ol thing in the back above the license plate

There's also some rust under my driver door, but all this can be fixed with some sandpaper. Plus, I plan on buying a bodykit. I kind of want to get the kit painted to match, but also considering a whole respray.

As for camber, I have only adjusted the fronts on the coilovers. It's not crazy cambered, but I wasn't expecting much nor do I want a ton of camber. I plan on buying an adjustable camber kit for the rear though. I haven't even adjusted the height of the rear yet either, but I plan on maybe doing it this weekend or next when I replace my rear rotors and pads.

I've been trying to save money too for a new engine. I don't know how much life is left in this one as it approaches 200,000 miles. It runs fine, but I'd like to get a swap. I haven't decided what motor I want put in yet. Thinking 1JZ though.

This is proving to be quite a popular model of car on the forums isn't it! This one is tidy too, cool car :)

It says 180sx on the back . :P

What's the orange thingy, a cow bell?

Nice clean car.👍

Thanks for looking.

I'm thinking I may like to do a Silvia front end on my car.

Not a photo of mine of course

I would like to get the front paint matched to my misty blue like in the pic.

Noooo. Don't go Sil-eighty. The front of that car might look good. The back might look good. But the boxy front with the round rear don't look good together. The car you've posted above would look better as an entire Silvia. The 240sx rear end isn't what makes that car. There's like 3 good looking Sil-Eighties in the world.

IDK, I personally love the look. There are 2 really nice ones in the area I live. I haven't seen this one in a while, but I loved it.

It may look nice, but the reason it looks nice isn't because of the round rear end. That's what I'm getting at. You can make the front of the car look awesome, and the rear end look awesome, but the front/rear combo isn't what "makes" the car, that's what I'm getting at. It's kinda hard to explain. Basically you can look at it this way, the car you posted, would a silvia rear end on it make it look worse? Probably not, it would probably look more proportional and look even better, so the reason it looks good isn't BECAUSE of the front end conversion, and rather just the fact that the front end looks good on it's own.

To each his own I guess, but personally I think they're both great looking ends of a car, but that particular combo is less attractive than they are on their own respective body styles.

I lowered my rear coilovers about 4cm. Took me forever to do it.
Also, I ordered an AEM intake system, and strut bars today. Circuit Sport for the front and ISIS for the rear. I really wanted to do the 3 point Cusco for the rear, but it would have cost over $300.
I got my check from Walmarts claims, almost $700. Spent $400, the rest is going towards the new motor.

Seeing pictures posted on Facebook fan pages, I have been loving this bodykit
vis01__66172_zoom.jpg

I Think I may buy it some time soon, and then begin to save for my Silvia front end.

Yes! to aero. While I don't think the car on the pic you posted pulls that kit off that well, I don't see why people are so against aftermarket kits. Stock 240 chuki has a massive overbite to it, and I think there comes a time when it starts to lose it's appeal.

Hoping to get my strut bars in this weekend. I'll get some pics of those plus my engine bay. a little filthy, plus it's been giving me some troubles lately. I think it's all fixed up.

But I'm really digging this look

I almost want to do this myself, but I'm not sure if it will look real good with my color.
Seen this on Zilvia, which I just noticed you are on too Perfect Balance, lol.

Don't believe I've posted an engine bay shot. Nothing special, but have recently gotten a new intake and strut bars. Alutec up front, and ISIS in the back.

Here's a fact: racing stripes make you faster

Not to scare anyone, I used plastidip. 👍 Wanted to do a Gone in 60 Sec. GT500 tribute for fun since they share the name Eleanor.
Only downside is some of the lines didn't come out sharp and have some tears from the tape pulling at some of it. But I still got a can and can do touch ups.

Oh.. dear... no..

I'm so sorry I really don't like being negative but that looks just awful in my opinion - I do hope you change your mind and remove them, it was such a lovely car before.

Not sure if i like the stripes more than the car without them, but it's definitely unique. Any form of originality is OK by me 👍

Wasn't sure how soon the day would come, but I'm getting ready to sell Eleanor. Got a few things to do to get her ready, like replacing the rear brakes like I should have 2 months ago and putting back the interior.
Of course she knows I'm going to sell her, so all new problems surface. ABS quit on me the other day, but that's more of a pro than a con in my opinion.

I was saving for a new motor, but I figure with that money, I could sell mine and get a new, better one. I'm going to look for a coupe, with as little cosmetic flaws as possible. No HICAS of course, that is a nightmare.

Nice Fart can.

It is the least molest one I've seen in a long time though. The kids at our school riced them out, bright green rims and mix matched body color/kits included. Cool. :)

Nice car. It's nice to see a car like this painted in the same color.

Eleanor was and will always be yellow though. :grumpy:
