You would think the PS4 version would be crash free.
Not if you've played Pcars
Seriously though, I've had a total of 4 crashes now, in somewhere between 20 - 30 hours of playing. I save ridiculously often, thankfully the game saves every time you get out of your ship, so when I go to a space station, after I've done everything and I'm ready to leave, I get in my ship, and then get back out, so it saves, and then get back in and leave. All but one of my crashes came whilst jumping between systems, so saving before I jump to hyperspace is preventing me losing anything when it crashes.
I would no doubt be quite annoyed with the crashes if I hadn't owned Pcars since it came out. That game crashed so often that I must be desensitised to it or something lol. Hopefully Hello Games can find the cause and fix it. They've spoken about planning to support the game with updates for years, so I'm fairly confident it will significantly improve over time.
Can't wait to see the base building they've spoken about introducing in an update, but hopefully they include a way to jump directly to a world you've built a base on, otherwise I'd end up losing it within a couple of hours at the rate I'm going. I've only had the game two days and I must have been through at least 10 star systems. Only come across one that had already been discovered, but because it hadn't been named, I didn't realise right away, and held triangle to upload and rename without realising it was already discovered, and accidentally reported the poor guy (or gal) who discovered it

.
What's everybody naming things? I named almost everything I came across in my first system, but since then I've adopted a policy of naming the system itself, and just keeping the default names on the planets and creatures within. You'll know if you come across any of my systems, they're all named with random, usually old man, names. They're all named like this: The (name) System. So I've got, like, The Colin System, The Gerald System, The Derek System, etc. etc.
