If you pause the game and go to options it gives the option to load a previous save file that might work.
That does not work as puts me in the exact same situation. :(
I am around 21 I think. (Since they go up 10,000 units per upgrade)

@Yellowbeard I did some math and you would need 6.3 million units to pay for all the upgrades. (That is the first upgrade at 10K to the final upgrade at 350K units.)

@kolio They say if you are stuck try loading up one of the previous saves. (Unless both saves are the same time then you are probably stuck then)
And that is what happened.

Guess I have to start over. This sucks. But maybe it will put me on a different planet this time. That is plentiful of stuff I need and minimal sentile things.

You need SSE4.1 and OpenGL 4.5 support on your CPU and video card

runs fine here on i7 3930k GTX 1070 system.
Just not very ALT-TAB friendly though...

So many dam crashes on the ps4 version. Every time I try to hyper jump the game crashes. Close to giving up.

Found my first tropical planet! Theres a lot going on here, storms, rain, interesting wildlife - just found a huge t-rex kind of creature. Id say a lot of the planet is just water - im surprised how deep and detailed the underwater sections are. The planet looks quite like earth from above - can see my self spending a lot of time on this one.

Can you get ruins underwater? Cos i flew to a ruin marker and i just couldnt find it anywhere, was wondering if it was in a underwater cave..

I forgot to mention last night! On the moon "Plains of Baynes" in the system "Aussie Boomers" I found my first science facility. The Korvax scientist there gave me the recipe for suspension fluid (50 Carbon), now I don't need to buy anything to craft warp cells.:)

I just got that as well. But I broke into a research facility and stole it.

a scene from my second planet

as I entered the atmosphere of the third planet, I saw a formation of 3 spaceships, and a 4th tagging a bit behind. I followed them in and cruised behind for 5 mins, not sure where they were going but they did pass near an outpost before I shot them all down :)

Well, that was a disappointment... My very first time requesting a refund on Steam. They gave me the $60 back within minutes.

I was really excited for this game, but the 30 minutes I managed to play (or not play at all) it was just a lag fest. I managed to get very choppy 40fps at best, with freezing almost every five seconds. I really wanted to see what this game was about, but it didn't let me at all.

I'm not mad... I'm just sad. Had very high expectations from this game :( Hopefully they will fix it with time. Will certainly buy it again if they do.

It turns out that my game reboot was all for the good. My first planet is gold rich, and the sentinels do not lift a finger. I mined gold for hours... replacing my beam charge over and over. The sentinels were bae... until I tried mining the blue crystals. Chysatine? I cannot remember the name. But they started shooting me instantly. I stopped mining and ran. They quickly stopped attackibg me. It was crazy. Pics soon too. Because there was a really cool dino.

did you try window'ed and borderless with G-sync off?
G-Sync seems to be forced on in the prefs file.

Plus the latest Nvidia 3.69 driver, which has OpenGL 4.5

I get 60fps locked V-Sync, with max'ed settings here on my GTX 1070

End of Day 3: 30 inventory slots, New ship with 18 slots, 343.3k Units, and I'm currently on a planet that's all but barren.

Ok, hows everyone enjoying it? From a level-headed point of view, not a 'I was really excited for multiplayer and it doesn't really have it so the entire game sucks' point of view that the vast majority of the internet seems to have.

Multiplayer never entered my mind when awaiting this game - i dont know why everyone is making a big deal of it. It was always going to be a solo exploration experience for me.

I can't stand playing without V-Sync. I did try it though, but it didn't make a difference other than the horrible screen tare being more noticeable. No matter what I set it to Low, High, or an infinite combination of settings, the game was still unplayable. Latest Nvidia driver as well.

This game should be more cpu intensive rather than gpu intensive. I have a high-end skylake i5 which should kill this game. And my gtx 970 should be more than enough as well. This game is just poorly optimized. It was not ready for release.

No real issues for me here with i7-4790k/GTX970. The odd hiccup/FPS dip when it's loading (generating?) something, but overall very smooth. I did have a handful of instances where the game crashed right on start, but if it starts it's mostly smooth for me. Haven't checked if there are new drivers around BTW.

Gonna try and a get a refund on steam for this. Not very impressed.

PC - 1080p maxed settings, yet looks like 720p scaled up...

I recognise this staircased look on faint horizontal lines, something I noticed on GT5 back in the PS3 days.... :(

I guess this game was made more for consoles than PC, with lots of frame rates and everything.

I am thinking that the further I try to go in the more problems I will have. I did find out that if you are close enough to the planet but still kinda drop off into space and you get a warning for space pirates, dip back into the planet, they don't come running for you there.

I played for a while last night, my starting system had planets covered in gold which made it easy to get some money right off the bat. I saved a stack of it but sold 5 other full stacks which has me sitting pretty good right now. I also managed to find an upgrade for the multitool and I just finished building my hyperdrive. Maybe now I can enter the next system and see what's up there.

I really wish I could use a mouse on the PS4, I haven't played a first person game with a controller in so long it feels super weird. I'm sure I'll get used it to though.

Bought it today, and I've had a lot of fun so far, but I have had two crashes, the first one was pretty bad, requiring a hard reset. Hopefully they can get on top of whatever is causing the crashes, because that is the only issue I've had so far. I can see myself slowly racking up a lot of hours on this.

Well I just had my first hard crash. Was just after I found some iridium too. Hoping that I am at lease at the space station where I can get it back.

I've played about 4 hours on PS4 this morning, it was quite frustrating trying to figure out how to leave my first planet but it was a nice way to open the game.

The first time I looked up at the sky to see another planet I was blown away and then to enter my ship and fly to it was one of the most surreal gaming moments I've ever experienced.

Having said that the game is far from perfect and I hope Hello Games can improve on it, I haven't experienced any crashes yet but certain aspects of the game are simply ugly and it's a little too grindy for my liking.

Man it's so annoying that you can sell from your suit inventory, but not your ship :(
Who thought this was a good idea?!

You can if you land on the outpost station or space station. Other than that you really can't sell it directly from ship.

Also just had my 2nd crash after doing a possible multi tool upgrade. Which is annoying now. I went all this time without and now I got 2 back to back.

Edit: 3rd one. Again with the multi tool upgrade I think. Just great. Guess I won't get any more upgrades on it if I stop crashing.

Edit2: Had now my 4th one. Same planet. I am thinking that the planet itself is bad. So I am going to get out of that planet and see if I crash again. If I do then I will quit the game for a bit.
