No SRF Friends Group (link to list in OP)

...I changed that setup quite drastically now.I used a revised version of BMW setup and managed to shave off about a tenth off my best time so I use that for FITT. I figured if "off-form" me could drive it then anyone can:P

I used your revised version for BMW tonight, managed to get down to 1:32:861 with the paddles!
Congrats, I saw you broke the barrier on FXX! 👍 Great advice you posted on FXX thread.

Thanks again backnfourth & ZuluWraith, for FR leader board with fellow 900° W/no aids/0 ABS users! :)
I can't believe some of the truly insane times z06fun lays down with 0 ABS!

Nah, my times are all with abs on. That would be impressive if they were made without though. I think Immortalpilot (TRL_Immortal) could probably do it, I think he does a lot of racing with out abs.

I guess I am seeing things, I thought your GTP_z06fun PSN showed 0 ABS on my FR Leader board. :embarrassed:
I'll have to take a second look when I get back this afternoon, if so, its time for new glasses. :ill:

UPDATE:
I guess I need new glasses.
Either way, you are very fast, and your car is saucer-shaped.

Would like to join in as well. Always play with the old and trusted DS3 and only ABS@1.
Trying to keep up with nowcontrol who is already in my list for some time.

Shame that it is even possible to use driving aids in GT6 TT's. Also missing the leaderboard that you could filter on mygranturismo.net.

Happy to finally break under the gold time with the FXX yesterday with a 1:37.882

z06fun, you are incredibly fast, and a hell of a target. My goal is to beat your time for the sole purpose of seeing how much faster you go when you retaliate and beat me. Damn good driving, sir.

Thanks to JogoAsobi for the fine tune on the Imprezza, that is a fun TT! I love the elevation changes and the challenges they provide. I am going to print out the most recent list of NoSRFers and send out requests for those that have been added recently. Heads up if you get a request. Thanks again to everyone who is participating! Happy Weekend!!

Sorry for the size of the post!
Thanks Zulu for this list. I appreciate the work. Just an FYI..Leadfootracing10 is coming up no such PSN ID, etc etc. I will look for him/her on the thread. I tried it twice. Maybe typo? Just checked. @LeadFootRacer10 possibly?

I am no tuner, couldn't tune to save my life!
That credit goes to JujiroMatsuda's magic tuning. 👍 👍
I couldn't have hit my times without his fantastic tunes.

Thanks mate I thought you have your secret Subie tune there for a minuite.lol I got a new tune for a BMW that might shave your few tenths. Only a slight difference so might not work for some or the difference might not be noticeable. Will post it afterwards.👍

I think Crozzlow just mixed up the posts, its easy to do, have done it myself. :)
Thanks, I saw your post about that :@: FITT, I had already decreased the rear Brake Bias a tad.
Did that when I ran BMW with clutch/manual trans (GTP_JogoAsobi), cuz back end kicks out a bit more.

Note: Those bold lettered values are the changes from my previous setup. Only few changes in suspension and LSD and nothing else.

Current best time: 1:31.903 with 0-aids. According to split times another tenth supposed to be possible. I made a big F UP on that last medium speed hairpin I skidded really wide so if you see my blue line that's not the best line.lol While my previous setup 1:32.3 was the best I could come up with and that was a stunner lap and I could not ask for more. So another 0.4s off my PB I was chaffed:)

I think the main difference is the increased stability under braking. Not the obvious 4/4 BB but the stiffer front ARB. The front end doesn't roll as much so the inside tyre lift up and lock ups are reduced quite a bit. I also changed my braking line towards that last chicane. Inside seems to have more grip, I don't know it could be just a placebo but I could brake deeper.

Come to think of it, this circuit is more of full out acceleration, full braking, pull a handbrake n turn, go back the other way, repeat sort of thing. Basically rotate, point and shoot (I remember Porsche was an ideal car for this track). The braking stability is paramount so I should've built this car in that way from the beginning.

edit: Just for the record, although I've mentioned a handbrake turn like I normally use it I never managed to incorporate such skill into my driving. Although it's a necessary technique specially in rallying if one wishes to achieve faster times but I never liked using it and I really suck at it:yuck:

My current tune for the IMPREZA 22B-STi @ Matterhorn Riffelsee [TT#9]

IMPREZA Coupe 22B-STi Version '98 [1].jpg IMPREZA Coupe 22B-STi Version '98 [2].jpg IMPREZA Coupe 22B-STi Version '98 [3].jpg

I have just dropped another tenth from my time [now @ 1:18.876] and gained 100 places on the LB with tonight's 180 mile session. 👍

Congrats for the great results! Do You guys mind if i take a spin with Your Setups? I'm not so great as tuner but, i think i'm ok as a tester :)

Of course we don't mind! By looking at your FXX time I'd say you are already a semi-alien. With right setup I'm sure you'll join the top group and give those guys another headache:tup:

I really hope that someone from our list cracks the top 10 on the F1 TT!!

The reality is just because we run primarily without SRF doesn't give us a huge advantage over the SRF aliens...
SRF isn't some ridiculously easy arcade mode some like to make out it is..

I can't see myself getting anywhere near a top 100 with my jerky left thumb, too many long sweeping corners on this track. 👎

I think the main key is persistence :) the aliens are used to keep tying over and over the same thing. I don't know about you guys but, I don't insist that much on these events. The most I played was probably this one with the FXX :) I like this type with no setups, and even better without SRF ehehe :) I'll try the new sazonal maybe tomorrow. Is it fun guys? hope so :) cheers! Mauro Araújo

I don't disagree with you my friend, however...

The best result I've gotten in a seasonal TT was 9xx place in the snow rally from a few weeks back. I don't think I've gotten lower than high 2900s in an SRF optional event since then, however, as of last night I was 312th, and I threw away a lap that was .9 quicker.

So while I agree that it's not a magic speed button, there are hundreds of folks that, without the SRF, wouldn't be anywhere near the top 1000. We can do it, gentlemen, push, PUSH!
