Note: Those bold lettered values are the changes from my previous setup. Only few changes in suspension and LSD and nothing else.
Current best time: 1:31.903 with 0-aids. According to split times another tenth supposed to be possible. I made a big F UP on that last medium speed hairpin I skidded really wide so if you see my blue line that's not the best line.lol While my previous setup 1:32.3 was the best I could come up with and that was a stunner lap and I could not ask for more. So another 0.4s off my PB I was chaffed
I think the main difference is the increased stability under braking. Not the obvious 4/4 BB but the stiffer front ARB. The front end doesn't roll as much so the inside tyre lift up and lock ups are reduced quite a bit. I also changed my braking line towards that last chicane. Inside seems to have more grip, I don't know it could be just a placebo but I could brake deeper.
Come to think of it, this circuit is more of full out acceleration, full braking, pull a handbrake n turn, go back the other way, repeat sort of thing. Basically rotate, point and shoot (I remember Porsche was an ideal car for this track). The braking stability is paramount so I should've built this car in that way from the beginning.
edit: Just for the record, although I've mentioned a handbrake turn like I normally use it I never managed to incorporate such skill into my driving. Although it's a necessary technique specially in rallying if one wishes to achieve faster times but I never liked using it and I really suck at it
