Nice improvement HJLamont! You keep improving since the beginning of this thread, keep it going! đź‘Ť

Thanks. I blow hot and cold as far as lap times go. Sometimes i get a great lap, like the aston, then i do six laps in a row in the red...

Its really hard to get a good time in 7 min cars. here are some pics of my 1.5 hr session with the new lambo. No joke when I say it flies...

This was my second lap, first was a 07.22, went of at schwedenkreuz and schwalbenschwanz
I'm sure there will be some people who are going to get sub 7 minutes laps (won't be me :P)

Edit:

Did another lap :)

Think I could get somewhere around 07.04 (also due to the engine break in)

I drive this car just for the engine sound  A rather scruffy lap, some practice still needed :dunce:

Hehe thanks. Nothing like 2 wheels off the ground in a 700hp car to stop your heart....

Second lap? Damned what am I doing wrong? I spent nearly 2h with it to get a 7.11.xxx. :indiff:

Feel I should note that I (if nobody else does) will beat this with some more practice and less aggressive braking. Also, much thanks for this thread.

What really helped me was running cars like the McLaren F1, and regularly try cars that are difficult to drive, it helped me find the area of the track where you have the most grip or keep more speed. Then applying this to a slower car make things easier.
...Then you have the Yellowbird... lol i still cant control it the way id like to... :scared:

Taking almost every corner flatout

It beaten the Beetle 1100 by 25 seconds, its a beast! :D

Nice lap with the Aventador mate!

Zed, thx for the new time!

I did 2 more laps with the Supra, still some room to go but it wasnt too bad.

edit: just purchased the car packs! :dopey:

edit2: Just did 1 lap with the GT-R '12, 7:12.457 , need more runtime but so far its great! it has more turn-in than the previous ones, i almost lost control on 1st curve lol

This. đź‘Ť I also routinely throw a set of Comfort Soft tires on an "overpowered" car with Sport Hards, such as the C12S 7.3, to get a baseline for my corner entries and exits. When I do put the Sport Hard tires back on, I gradually shift my braking points and throttle pressure from my baseline until I've reached the limits of my ability. Anything to flatten the learning curve is aces.

What a beast! Has almost too much torque, which caused a few moments for me during this lap. So there's plety time to get still. Just wanted to get the '09 out of the way :P

There's great potential to make this a really great car, just need to tune that torque snap oversteer away đź‘Ť Maybe someday I'll start practising tuning as well! 5 more years still to go to gt6 so no hurry.

I said that I would do it. I'm very solidly in the 7:15s now in the completely stock 7.3 on SH tires, but after almost 2 more hours since the ".017," I can't seem to get any quicker (maybe I'm numb to it now). Bugs me that this monster of a car is slower than the 458, though.

6:26.828 - Lister Storm V12 Race Car '99 (zedextreme177) - UPDATED

There's still some more left in this car!

And Mike, I will be assisting you in updating the spreadsheets starting from next weekend. I'm usually too busy to even play GT5 as often as I used to do :banghead:

Thx Zed :)

I know you busy and i appreciate your help!
Good to see you posting some lap time too!

I did turn, but my GT-R didnt, anyone had the same problem? :D im so fkin angry right now! Would have had the record but nononono, the stupid car didnt turn! Hihihihihhoshahahah gnight! -.-

Nice pic and lap Manuelos!

07:08.551 - Nissan GT-R Black edition '12 (mike_gt3) BEATEN

I think i can shave another 0.500 but it will require more seat time. :)

Id say its more technical to drive than the GT-R '07 and Spec V, it has better turn-in but will oversteer in some corner if you are not careful, the other ones would just grip.
At the end of the straight the GT-R '07 was hitting 300kmh, Spec V 304kmh, this one for now is at 306kmh, its not a big power advantage.

The car have 568hp with 166km done.

Spreadsheet updated!

:)
