08:43.677- DMC Delorean S2 '04(Mac K) NEW

This car surprised me, it handles great and accelerates quite well, I actually kind of like it. I'm confident I can go a bit faster but I'm way to tired to attempt lapping it or any more cars tonight. Watching most of the Daytona 24 will do that to you I guess:P I still haven't beat the Amuse R1 top time yet, but rest assured I'll get it, it's such an excellent car to drive, I've actually grown to like it quite a lot.

Nice! im sure youll beat your time :)

Unfortunatly, for the Delorean S2, there was already a lap time in the spreadsheet.

I didn't see it..

Edit: oops I see it.. Darn:P

I beat my previous time in the stock FTO STC by 2.4 seconds and I'm proud enough to post it here.

Racing/Non-Production All Stock

6:38.823 - Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car (s2k2k3) new

Oops! Typo. Fixed.

I knew there was already a time for this car but it's not in the all stock category.

Well done! :) In fact there was already a time posted, but it was still in the racing/non-production, was just not sure if the driver used stock tires... you beaten his time by 1 second, i will fix this on the next update :)

Nice time S2K.

07:47.616- Amuse S2000 R1'04(Mac K) BEATEN

Finally I got it, I've been trying to beat the previous time for the past few months. I still think I can get another 1-2 seconds off, but I'll try that tomorrow. :)

good job! :) thats a good lap.

Haven't been able to do any laps the last few weeks. Or I'm too busy at work, or I'm sick as a dog like I am now 👎

Hope you will recover quickly mate, and post some new lap time! :D

Alex, my best lap is 7:23.354, with a lucky lap i think i can squeeze a 7:22.6xx looking at some splits i been able to improve, but i decided to leave it there since it became time consuming. :)

and i know Timppaq can improve his time as well, hes really good with the F40 :)

A bit of humor. Perhaps a tad dry... :ouch:

Timpaq is so good that it would be news if his lap DIDN'T blow you away. :D

Oh now I understand lol. You're right I guess.

To ALL the fast drivers here (Mike, Manuelos, Timpaq and other crazys): Which wheel are you using? I MUST KNOW!

Because I tried the f40 today, AGAIN, wanted to finally bring this b....under 7:30, well improved by 0.2 seconds in what? 5 hours of trying, now at a 7.31.414.

I'm so desperate, I NEED to get under the 7:30, maybe it's my wheel...it has a malfunction, when I turn it fast it can change my game view automatically or pause or other stuff, maybe it's "broken" in general? Damned...

My DFGT did the exact same thing after I had it 8 months. It was VERY annoying when playing online. I bought another one and it's been fine so far.

Its a very tricky car to drive, did you changed the oil? and rebuilt the engine if needed?

Its supposed to have 502hp.

I use a G27, the main difference would be the pedal set, wich give a better feeling than the DFGT ones. May be you can post a video and i can try to help you find the second you need :dopey:

I think you had a video already of it? (the one 0.2 slower)

:)

I noticed a difference in lap times, with my old DFGT I was about 2 seconds slower a lap and no where near as consistent, that being said I'm not where near as fast as Mike and the gang, but I'm not exactly slow either:P

Good morning, G25 here. 👍 There's always more time to be found, the track is so long but I'd say around 1sec off current time is max for me with the F40. But there's too many cars on the game that I haven't driven yet - don't see myself spending much more time with this one.

I know DHolland used to use a DFGT and be very fast with it, so it's possible but much harder mainly because of the pedals.

The pedals are no problem for me at all. I believe it is the wheel itself, I really believe it is easier to drive a car faster (and more importantly: consistantly faster) with a G25,27 and Thrustmaster, simply because they give a much better response to the player about what the car does. Yesterday I read reviews on Amazon about the Thrustmaster, everyone, who owned a DFGT before that said, that the DFGT is a good wheel, but like a toy compared to the Thrust, it is said to be that much better.

Also, I have a self-builed imrpovised "seat" to race, I guess a proper one helps also to be a little faster.

But I'll be honest here, I don't have to act as if I would be world class, I saw your lap, and it was simply down right perfect, scaringly precise, which means that you simply are a much better driver than me, with which I am fine. 👍

Still, I would love to try that car again with a brand new DFGT, or better, a G25,27. Guess I'll buy myself a new DFGT in 2 months or so.

@mike: Yes, to my surprise my F40 is also fully broken in.

So, how long do you have your new one?

Haz made some pics of car, noticed how REDICULOUSLY detailed the lights are, look up where they were made:

You're right Alex, I noticed the feel on the G27 was much better than the DFGT, almost similar to a real car, and like I said, I'm more consistent and much faster..

Thx for confirmation. (Though I know I am still not as fast as Timpaq and co.)

Neither am I, but we all know they cheat anyways:P Just kidding, bro hugs.

lol

For the wheel, i only tried the DFGT once last summer so i cant really review it that much. All i can say is the G25/G27 is really nice! :)

My driving setup isnt that good either, i modified an ''easel'' (if its the right word..)
those you use for home work... so its not fixed on the ground, if i counter steer too fast the easel slide on the ground and it doesnt help while driving cars i need to counter steer quick... i had to reduce the force feedback to help... i made marks on a carpet i use for my setup to help... i also sit on a wood chair that i have cut the legs so it sit lower on the ground... lol

May be one day ill get a real stand. :dopey:

ATM I'm doing all the 479 NSX's. They are quite oversteery and have huuuuuge lift off oversteer :scared:

Touch off grass on the right, touch off grass on the left ... and we're going again :sly:

Some of the times here are amazing, especially the F40, F1 458, GT-R, etc times.
But then I wonder, since all I drive on GT5 are cars on comfort tires - why can't we have a comfort leaderboard?
Sport tires offer too much grip and so, what happens is that we get ridiculosly fast times which have no relation to real life, so I'm thinking of this: comfort hard for weak cars, comfort mediums for cars up to 350hp and comfort soft for stronger machines, all stock of course... (that's how I run cars anyways).
So, how about Stock (comfort) leaderboard? I'll be more than happy to run lots of cars like that.
