ATM I'm doing all the 479 NSX's. They are quite oversteery and have huuuuuge lift off oversteer :scared:

Touch off grass on the right, touch off grass on the left ... and we're going again :sly:

Nice recover Manuel! :D

Some of the times here are amazing, especially the F40, F1 458, GT-R, etc times.
But then I wonder, since all I drive on GT5 are cars on comfort tires - why can't we have a comfort leaderboard?
Sport tires offer too much grip and so, what happens is that we get ridiculosly fast times which have no relation to real life, so I'm thinking of this: comfort hard for weak cars, comfort mediums for cars up to 350hp and comfort soft for stronger machines, all stock of course... (that's how I run cars anyways).
So, how about Stock (comfort) leaderboard? I'll be more than happy to run lots of cars like that.

We would need at least a couple other people interrested in running on comfort tires to say it worth adding a new category. :)

If anyone else want something like that to be added to the sheet, just post in the thread, if you are the only one that post it will not worth it, i do plan to add new categories in the futur.

May be something for tuner based on a PP limit.

:)

The times are aleays going to be better in the game. In gt5 if id hit a wall at 200mph i reverse and keep going. In real life i die horribly. That is to say that i have no fear in gt5 which is not true irl.

To ALL the fast drivers here (Mike, Manuelos, Timpaq and other crazys): Which wheel are you using? I MUST KNOW!
G25 here
But I doubt you'll get any faster by changing to another wheel, just my two cents

To give you an example: the guy who won the GT Acedemy here a few years back, is also using a G25. During the finals we all had to use the DFGT's ... Well after a few runs he was already adapted to the wheel and later he won the final :scared:

Stumbled upon this thread, thought I'd try to break any of the lap times in the first post. Just did a 7.27.967 with the Ferrari California, this car is so enjoyable to drive stock. :D

Sorry for the quality and shaky phone lol

07:15.773 - Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (19inch Wheel Option) '09 (DDAAVVIIDD82) BEATEN

Did a 15-lap break-in on Comfort Hards, that was fun. After that, I paid very close attention to my braking points and hammered out 4 sub-7:16s before ending up on the .773. One hell of a car.

08:26.368 - Dodge SRT4 '03 (DDAAVVIIDD82) BEATEN

If ever a car deserved Sport Hards when being provided with Comfort Softs, this is it. Okay, perhaps the CL 600 as well. All that torque to the front wheels kept me on my toes coming out of corners.

Also, what's the protocol for the Spoon Hondas (EK and DC2) and their height-adjustable suspension? Are times for the "Production Vehicles" section restricted to the default settings?

Yes productions cars need to remain stock settings, even stock brake bias. :)

Good job on the SLR, its an awesome car !

Good to know, fortunately the only time I've made any adjustments were on the Evo X and I made note of it in my post. And thanks, it sure is and I love the things, probably my favorite Premium in the game. Inching closer to improving on the SRT4 lap times as well.

Goodluck, i will try to update the spreadsheet tomorow.
:)

I'll make a video of it next saturday

07:26.476 - Ferrari California '08 (GTP_Manuelos) BEATEN

First I did a 07:30, but then I noticed the power limiter was set to 87.3% :P

Hey just wanted to tell you all that your posting some incredible times here guys just wish I ran within a couple time zones of your laps.

Also if you haven't seen it yet and mike_gt3 hasn't already mentioned it we are having a tuner shootout over in the tuning forum that you all might be interested in being test drivers for.

For those of you who know him CSLACR is sponsoring the shootout and here is the link;
400PP Nordschleife Shootout

All cars are running on Comfort Soft tires and due to the restrictions you'll find that these aren't the heavily modified racing setups but cars where attention has been paid to making the most of their handling around the ring.
Would be great to see a couple more of you Ring Masters join mike and show us tuners how its done.:gtpflag:

thx for posting XDesperado67! :)
Shhh, don't tell anyone but I was ecstatic when I managed to shave 7 seconds off your time with the stock 2000 GT using my tuned one at 400PP.:odd::drool:

Think I'd be lucky to hit 9:30 in a stock one!

If I had been smart I probably would have looked here first for fast stock cars under 400PP and then tried tuning some of them instead of just sort of randomly selecting cars to try. The better the base car is the better the tuned one generally is.:D

Case in point...
#335. 08:36.992 - Toyota MR-S V Edition (6MT) '02 (mike_gt3)
That car was my third choice and even though I've tuned it to 400PP and its handling much better than stock(at least I think it is:D) I've yet to get under 8:51 with it. Might have to talk you into giving it a drive at a later date and telling me what I've messed up.

Hehe yes :D i almost posted the link of the sheet but most tuners already had posted their tune.

For the 2000GT, its an old time i think i did 2 laps, and the engine needed a rebuild. With lots of practice you will improve, this shootout should really help you, lots of different type of handling! i will try your car on my next sessions

Racing/Non-Production Stock:

08:51.105- Jay Leno Tank Car '03(Mac K) NEW

Production Stock:

08:43.849- Mini Cooper S '11 (Mac K) BEATEN

Felt like trying something different and the Tank Car fit the bill. The Mini time I was beyond impressed with, I've been driving it a lot lately but didn't expect that fast of a lap, I even had to make sure everything was stock, and it was. I'm quite happy right now :) Also is Alex's time on the spreadsheet in the Lotus Elise Type 72 correct? I got a 07:47.xxx with room for improvement, and it's still a good 40 seconds off, I'm just saying it seems a bit faster especially considering his other time in the 111S is about 15 seconds slower and the 111S has about 40 HP over the Type 72.

Congrats on your lap :)

Yeah i noticed the Type 72 lap also, forgot to ask him if it was right, i dont think its faster than the 111S but never tried it so its hard to say :)

Thanks Mike, it's nice to finally be competitive with you all:P Now just to clarify Alex's lap..

Damn, you beat it before I even got happy about it lol awesome time! I'll try and beat this over the week. Lots more room to improve, I don't have a wheel though. :(

03:12.791 - Gran Turismo Red Bull X2011 Prototype (csdts)....

This is a ridiculous time!

That replay must be insane!

Gonna head home & try beat the "bonobo4 - 08:28.524 - Honda MUGEN MOTUL CIVIC Si Race Car '87" time.

Lets see how it goes!

Patch 2.04, is 5 steps back., on the Nurburgring, with the G25 and front hood view.

Wind noise, is at 300%
FFB has been weakened tremendously, almost non-existant, as prior G25/G27 support
tire noise , missing.
graffiti, random all over the track
raced with 16 people online, cars hitting each other, seemingly out of nowhere from the start line.
default transmission noise, not there, wind is coming down like a hurricane in my eardrums.

/sad
