You sure? FFB feels the same to me and the wind noise is still the same. Unless you had one of the F1 or Red Bull X cars, because the FFB only changed for them. The wind noise is still way to loud though, but no different then before.

For tuned production cars all modifications are legal?
Only restriction being that you must use Sports Soft tires?

I may have some times to post allthough I'm sure the real drivers will quickly beat them!:D

I believe that class runs on unlimited tires as well, I'm not completely sure though:P Oh and I thought I'd post this, I know it isn't directly related to GT5, but it relates to the Ring so I think its some what appropriate

Now that was 7 minutes weel spent.
Great driver, great video.
So, I'm getting my driver's licence in about 1 month and then, when I get some money and buy a car and all - first thing I'll plan is going to Nurburgring, and when I do one of my life's goals will be completed (:D).

Okay here goes nothing.:D

Daihatsu Storia X4 '00 (max modified with all weight reduction and HP adds on Sports Soft tires) 465PP (Rear wing adjusted to 11 downforce) 206HP 139ft-lb torque and 746kg
Time=8:09.396

Drove use automatic transmission, ABS1 and driving line. All other aids off, grip set to real and no tire wear/fuel consumption.

I'll place the car on share shortly.👍👍

Thx for posting XDesperado :)
If you dont mind for any futur submissions, you can use the entry model on the first post, or the one in the spreadsheet(in my sig)

It would look like this:

Tuned category
08:09.396 - Daihatsu Storia X4 '00 (XDesperado) NEW

It make things a lot easier for me to update, even just one mistake and the list will not update properly, it work by alphabetic order... :)

And yes, tuned category use sport soft tires :) any other upgrades/settings allowed.

Thanks for the heads up and I'll do so in future.👍👍
The Storia X4 is on share if any of you real drivers want to try it out.:D Pretty sure it could go under 8 minutes especially if the setup was fine tuned for the ring. Current setup is for the Beginner Rally Special event. Also can be used on Sports Soft tires to win the 500PP Seasonal challenge races.:D

Awesome!

Thx mate 👍

Shhh, don't tell anyone but I was ecstatic when I managed to shave 7 seconds off your time with the stock 2000 GT using my tuned one at 400PP.:odd::drool:

Don't feel bad, that's a phenomenal time. I'm still over a second slower with it. It handles exceptionally well, almost too well. I think I need to really grind it out and see where I can push my brake points a little more. Oh and a friendly heads-up mike_gt3, I'm .107 off of your stock McLaren F1 time and narrowing the gap.

Well done :) I'll have to get the good old F1 out of the garage again :dopey:

Speaking of new.

Race/Non-Production Stock:

07:25.182-Art Morrison Corvette '60(Mac K) NEW

06:54.296- Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C2 Racecar '63(Mac K) NEW

06:45.046- Ford Falcon XR8 '00(Mac K) NEW

Production Stock:

07:46.223- Lotus Esprit Sport 350 '00(Mac K) BEATEN

07:09.528 - Ferrari 458 Italia '09 (Timppaq) (BEATEN)

What a beast! Has almost too much torque, which caused a few moments for me during this lap. So there's plety time to get still. Just wanted to get the '09 out of the way :P

There's great potential to make this a really great car, just need to tune that torque snap oversteer away 👍 Maybe someday I'll start practising tuning as well! 5 more years still to go to gt6 so no hurry.

07:08.243 - Ferrari 458 Italia '09 (Timppaq) (BEATEN)

Wanted to try a familiar car, and maybe I'm just imagining things but the 458 felt a bit nicer to drive, maybe the torque snap oversteer wasn't that bad now(??). Also I love the new feedback the wheel gives you. Somehow I feel more natural now (just a little). Maybe the curbs are not so pronounced, but it's hard to tell as I haven't driven for a long time.

edit,

watched the replay and I did 2 little mistakes there, '07 is on the cards with a more solid run.

Very good lap with the 458! 👍
I will give it a try to see if they changed the physic.

i also noticed when you load a ghost, (i did it racing a different car ghost) i beaten the ghost but the next lap it was still the same ghost, but the split time displayed didnt matched the ghost, it was matching my new best lap...

i dont know if that was just a bug?

Thx for the new laps MacK :)

Got a question here. Is Bono still updating the time list in the OP?

Reason I'm asking is because I only have access using my cell phone and viewing the spreadsheet is very difficult for me. Don't want to post times for cars that are already listed in the spreadsheet since I highly doubt I'll be beating anyone else's times.

Also have any of you guys on my friends list tried my Storia X4 I have on share? Would love to see what the little Daihatsu could do with a real driver behind the wheel instead of ole Harvey Wallbanger here.👍👍

Bonobo dont update as often, but its still not that far from the current update.

I can test your Storia soon :)

As long as it doesn't distract from the shootout.👍👍

Speaking of which any thought about including a special section under the tuned cars section for the fastest shootout times? Or perhaps a link to it?💡

I will run your car after the shootout, i need to do all the remaining cars today, i will post the review tomorow unless im allowed to post today. :)

What i am thinking that could be a nice addition is adding a ''tuner challenge'' category where tuner would be able to post their tune and people could drive the cars, the list would be updated the same way but the name of the tuner would be added with the car with a link to the tune itself.

It would show wich car is the fastest one to use for each PP and tires type.

It can include several categories, like:

400PP:
-Comfort soft
-Sport soft
-Racing hard
-Racing soft

and then do the same for 500PP, 600PP etc... what ever apply the best to what most people use :)

Its just an idea i dont know if it would be useful, theres already the ''tuned'' category on sport soft, but the ''tuner'' category would get tuner involve, not only drivers.

:)

That would be cool. Seeing as I can't drive the 'Ring well, but some say my mini-van is kinda quick :dopey:

It was definatly quicker than i thought lol all i can say is the mini-van is not last :D

Thanks Mike. Did you have a chance already to test the physics with the 458?

That other thing sounds like a bug, although I haven't used a different car ghost many times so I woudn't know how it's supposed.

07:25.861 - Ferrari California '08 BEATEN

Tried to hit the apex on every corner this time instead of just speeding. A faster lap is still possible, not going to try unless someone gets this better though lol.

I havent tested yet :) i have some cars left to run from the 400PP shootout then its the next car ill run with XDesperado's storia, cant wait to run the 458 again, its a blast to drive, and it should feel quick after running all those 400PP cars :dopey: lol

hey manuel, when you do a lap in a unpopular car thats not on the list, do you like do one half decent lap and post your time, or do you put some decent effort into it and get a real good lap time....for instance can you remmeber how much time you put in for the toyota soarer 2.5 twin turbo?

5 laps in so the engine is not broken in at all..

What a great car to drive! The mechanical grip is amazing. (or did the Cali have some aero as well??) Anyway, a lovely ride 👍

edit,

full of mistakes really (just watched the replay & have had 6 beers :P), so I think 7'21 should be doable.

edit,

sorry guys, noticed I had the grip on low.. changed to realistic and drove
