True, which lowers to possibility of seeing such cars like a Noble or TVR doing flying laps even more. You can book the track on certain days like manufacturers do, but the cost of doing so must be huge.
 
Okay I have a new car added to the list, it is the Honda NSX (not NSX-R) it ran an 8'16.
 
Just like to say that this list is the unofficial one and there are a couple cars on that list that are regarded as cheaters.
 
I'm not looking for just times printed at the Rings site, I'm looking for any cars that have done a full lap of the ring and had the times recorded doing it. Theres no cars on there that I know somehow cheated, but if you could tell me which ones I can check up on them.
 
There are a couple which are said to be running R tires and a couple other with non stock suspension setup. There was a article about it and a list made by some people of the cars in question. I'll try and dig it up.

Also as for the veyrons times Ive heard the time wasnt so quick because its so wide and something about the tires having to be able to handle speeds over 240mph which reduced forced them to choose a certain compound which isnt favourable for track racing.
 
The Veyron wasn't being driven fast, it's just a time someone took of it doing a lap while the engineers were testing.

Regarding the suspenson setups, if it's a car like the Koenigsegg where it was built with the intention of people beingable to take t to the track and stiffen it up there then soften it again for the drive home. If it's a car where ou have to remove panels or parts of the car ect, basically where the car was not built with people changing the setups themselves in mind then I'll note it down. If you can show me any cars that were running with non-road legal tyres I'll remove.
 
Thats al it has, around 320bhp. It is an amazing machine, it goes round tracks so fast bacaue it's superb at carrying speed through the corners.

Note that Top Gear solicited two professional drivers to test the cars above and each car's best times are shown. This, like all tests, are very driver-dependent. Someone who's not familiar with a particular car, just isn't going to be as fast in it. As an example, the other driver of the NSX recorded a time of 8m 57.13... but this included a full 360 degree spin where the driver was quoted as saying he never had to take it out of second gear!
 
I can see one car on thoes lists that's using racing tyre's.

Theres a few cars in thoes lists I can check up with and add to mine if they're gnuine.
 
I wonder what all the high power german saloons would get on the ring if they wernt limited to 155mph. The csl could have clocked a even faster time.

Do you think there would be a possibility of this being made a sticky?

Firstly - not happy about the Viper's position in the table. lol Shoulda used a Hennessey 1000TT. lol

Secondly - SWEET!!!!!! The Zonda F is quicker than the Veyron! w00t!

Thirdly - Awesome list dude.
 
The Veyron wasn't being driven for a fast lap, that's just the only recorded lap time the Veyron has there.

Ford GT official time around the ring is 7:52.
Do you have a source for that, I can't just put anything and everything people post up, doesn't seem that good for the Ford GT tbh unless it wasn't a proper hot lap/ and experienced driver at the wheel.

So heres some news you corvette fans and haters should/could enjoy. With the z06 just having hit european shores its now inevitablke that the z06 will get a official testing around the nurburgring by sportauto.

What lies on this test will be severe bragging rights. Right now alot of car enthusiats wont fully acknowledge the Z06's time because it was done by a what some called a "super uber" driver.

And because sportauto to all their tests with the same driver we can see how it will stack up against the likes of the ford GT etc. I cant wait.
 
Not the driver, some won't acknowledge it because no official source HAS acknowledged it, so there's nothing to say the timewas in a stock C6 Z06. It probably was, but dince there's such controversy over it I'd sticking on the safe side for now.
 
Update: Koengisegg CCR

N: 7.34 min
0-200km/h in 9.6 sec

the Koenigsegg CCR, the most powerful and fastest car ever tested by sport auto at the Nurburgring, showed it?s true potential by achieving an otstanding lap time of 7:34 mins. (even though it is not quicker than the Carrera GT) at the Nordschleife and a 1:09.8 mins at the Hockenhien short track.

A top speed record at D?ttinger H?he was achieved with 313 km/h at the only 2kms long straight, 267 km/h at the Schwedenkreuz and 250/h at Kesselchen as well as the max. lateral acceleration of 1.35g on track speak for itself.

0-100 km/h in 3.9 secs.
0-200 km/h in 9.6 secs.
0-200-0 km/h in 14.5 secs. (0.5 secs. faster than the CGT!)

It runs like a true supercar and it handles like a true supercar, the limits are very high and clearly defined.

But this is not the end as the new Koenigsegg CCX will be more powerful and faster than this. (seems it takes anew car and concept like the CCX to exceed the limits which have be reached with the CCR)
 
I already have that on the list, that time was done without changing any of the cars settings which are easilly changable and owners are encouraged to alter the cars setup for different condictions, so I wouldn't be suprised to see a faster CCR time in the future.

7.42 around the ring. Should be able to go even faster in the summer with better conditions. Wanna know what time the GT3-RS will post as it is the track based car.

EDIT, I've found a few referrences to a motortrend report of the 997 Turbo doing the ring in 7'40.

Also I've found a time for the BMW X5 LeMans, it ran a 7'49 when BMW took it to the ring.
 
official time from the zonda f is 7.33 making the CGT still the daddy of the ring. They said the zonda oversteered too much and thats why it was slower and it could take advantage of its aerodynamic capabilitties. Overall they thought the zonda F is better than the CGT though.
 
Your right, I just re-checked Sportauto and it was 7'33 not 7'32 which put's it down one place on the list.
