After debating weather to bother doing the 24 hours race in a spec or b spec mode i did it in a spec mode in 1 sitting, using the nissan r{godknows what}cp.{the fast one}.neway i ended up using the racing hard tyres and was 27 laps infront of the second place car,at the end of the 24 hrs i had covered 732 laps.....never again!

if in 1 sitting mean that you played game non stop 24 hours...you are THE racer

And if he did 732 laps, he's also THE liar.

My current status in this can be seen above my (rather relevant) avatar, my signature and my thread in Write-Ups.

Geez I didnt notice number of laps...its impossible I am at half of 24h nurb enduro and I am at lap 98.

so as Famine said: You are THE liar street drifter.

btw I read your enduro thread

I used the Mazda RX7 LM car with stage 1 turbo, well when I say "I used", it was actually Bob who done the driving. :sly: In 24 hrs, he completed 199 laps and pitted every 6 laps I think, can't remember. He won the race 2 laps ahead of the Abt Audi TT. 👍

After posting information here about AI candidate cars for this event, I later found the complete opposition candidate lists "hiding" in
Complete AI Pit strategy guide for the 16 Endurance Races.

So I have now excised my information.

So far I've only B-spec'd this event. If the Chaparral stays away, a Nissan Motul Pitwork Z is a good B-spec entrant which doesn't appear to violate the spirit of the entries, although in reality perhaps it's a bit of a cheat.

Once I B-spec'd with a stock AMG Mercedes against a (weak) lineup including the same car, and did some A-spec "guest driving" once B-spec had a nice lead for me. That was so I could practice for silver on S-16. I'm a mediocre player who tries too hard, and sometimes plays too much.

Recently I've tried the Nissan Motul Pitwork Z in A-spec, starting races but not finishing them. I can beat all cars with it except the Chaparral. Most players could probably beat the Chaparral with it? The car hasn't had an oil change or chassis refresh in thousands of miles--that makes for no surprises as the race progresses.

If doing it once is crazy then I must be insane! I have done it in A-Spec 4 times and am working on my 5th! I actually prefer the long races! I have done it once pretty much straight through! it took me a little over 25 hours with a few stops for meals and bathroom breaks and was one GT4 experience I am proud of but will Never do again! I used the Audi R8 and won by something like 22 laps over the second place Abit TT. Generally I do one in 5 or 6 days with a more appropriate car and run between 190 and 210 laps, winning by 2 or 3 laps. I am currently 21 hours into my 5th A-Spec Nurb race after 5 days and am 2 laps ahead in an Audi A4 Touring car with RH's on the front and RSH's on the back. The one car I tend to struggle against is the Chapperal 2D Race car. He goes a Long way between pit stops! I understand why most people don't do the 24 hr races in A-Spec, but it is my favorite part of the game so I have done it alot. I use B-Spec too, but just because I am trying to get all the possible colors of Formula GT cars. I have 18 combination A-spec/B-spec 24 hr Nurb's and still haven't got two of the Formulas! Talk about a Lot of B-Spec miles!

I did it in almost exactly 72 hours, and used an Abt Audi to beat another Abt Audi for 43 A-spec points. (I carefully chose my field so it included no "fluff"; usually an Abt Audi gets offered 10pts or less).

Final Results

1st. Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02 (me) 197 laps 24-04:58.375
2nd. Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02 +2 laps
3rd. BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01 +4 laps
4th. Audi A4 Touring Car '02 +4 laps
5th. Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 Ti '93 +5 laps
6th. Nissan FALKEN*GT-R Race Car '01 +5 laps

one sitting, a friend and I shared driving with a stock RE Amemiya Asparasrink RX7... 305hp... averaged 7:20 lap times, pit'd every 4 laps for tires/gas, finished 5 laps up (i think... ~memory~)...

My experience is that if you are all doing it in A-spec you are all crazy  I can't believe I did all 3 in b-spec.:nervous:

boy i sure as hell cant do it all in a-spec. i think i drove 8 hours and bob drove 16hrs.

i better get set for some more 24hr enduros because im taking a 20+hour trip to florida in a suv that has a LCD in the dome light

8 hours in....2 laps ahead of 2nd place....too easy...

Tip to anyone that is going to attempt the 24hour" Us the same car as one of your opponents because it is way to easy otherwise. DONT get turbo and nitro either. I wish I could start over like this, but 8 hours is too far along...:guilty:

a-spec people are crazy! I did in b-spec and I used 3X simulation speed, so I got my F1 quite even faster than the actual race was. But believe I know nurburgring by heart. I still don't know how people manage it in 4:30 but I can easily take it in 5:30
