I am special
How the heck has the Pagani Zonda S beat the McLaren F1 and the SLR? Seriously, the SLR in particular is a phenomal car.

coz' the F1 was never meant to be F A S T on the track.....its however the fastest car up to date in top speed (240mph)

I've only driven the Ring' a few times since picking up the game..(Not including the License test w/the MB 190E) and I've been able to manage only 1 sub 7min lap time...and that was using the Audi TT touring car...Once I get home later today, I'm going to do few test runs w/other cars just to see how I do...wish me luck! :-)

NOTE: I'd love to one day do a sub 6min lap...in ANY car one day soon! :sly:

Just ran a 6'43.085 with an Evo VIII fully decked out and N2O! only use nitrous on the back straight.
Did you have racing super softs on? I'm wondering how much of an effect they will have since it is the last thing I have to do to my VIII MR. I ran a 6'57.xxx in it two days ago with at least 5 mistakes. I almost have the Green Hell down, so I'm curious where I stand relative to someone else.

Have you been watching a different Top Gear to me?

The SLR did not come out on top and they have never tested the McLaren F1 with the Stig on that track.

Top 5 from the Top Gear website

1st Ferrari Enzo - 1.19.0

2nd Ariel Atom - 1.19.5

3rd Porsche Carerra GT - 1.19.8

Ariel Atom? what car is it?
I'm curious to know the car which can be between an Enzo and a Carrera GT !

In the DTM race series, I got a 7:22.3XX with a stock CLK-DTM car. I definatly could have done better, I went off once and generally drove pretty conservative. I was leading the whole race and didnt want to ruin a win with a bad wreck.

I did 6:48 with an STi Spec-C. Fully decked out on everything, with Race Medium Tires and I was also using the Original Turbo kit (Stage5) and the Original Suspension kit from the tuner village. No nitrous whatsoever was used although I own it for that car I unequiped it for that lap time.

I will get home tonight to get a better time with that Spec-C (I spun out once in that time and made a few mistakes in a few other places) and then buy and fully upgrade an Evo VIII MR and see what car does my best time. :dopey: STi vs. EVO personal battle in the ring. :mischievous:

Yes, I did everything possible to the car with ALL upgrades including the tires. Post your time after you get the tires so we can compare numbers. Best of luck!

The one they tested on top gear had the 300bhp supercharged Civic Type-R engine (non supercharged it makes 220bhp) and cost about £29,000.

It was also much faster than a CBR600RR around the Top Gear track :)

I want one.

Mackie.

I completed the 25 lap Nurburgring race with the Ginetta G4 last night, on sports tires (soft), I had a best lap time of 8'06".2x. Not bad for this car, very difficult to use on the ring though, 400 kg car + Ring bumps/hills/curbs = danger :)

Racing the 24Hr Nürburing endurance race my Toyota Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car ('89) ran consistant 6:31's on Super Hard race tires, set at level 2 (cruise).

i ran a 6:08:xx with the stock mazda 787B. i think my time would have been slower if tire wear was on? Cause i just went to world circuit on GT mode and selected Nurburgring and photo drive.

There's only one target i want to beat, 10minutes in a jag s-type, as set by the one and only jeremy clarkson

No S-Type deisel unfortunately. We need to find a similarly powerful (around 200bhp) 1600kg FR saloon car, not sure if there are any though. A 530d would work well but that's not in either I think...
