OK, are there any sites around that list the fastest laps (for Nurburgring and Tsukuba) for STOCK road cars with N1/N2 tires and STOCK race cars with R1/R2 tires.

The only ones I can find have cars tuned to their max with soft race tires etc.

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Tuned AMG merc, and let me just say WOOOOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

that was hard. The car wanted to leave the track so many times i lost count!
Think i can go faster though as in one section i left he track and was forced to trail-brake on the grass. This definlety stuffed up my braking as i was sideways when i rejoined the track, not to mention i had to brake a fair bit earlier. :)

My best time is 5:12.xxx in Time Trial mode in a Toyota Minolta Toyota 88C-V - Stage 4 turbo, TCS/ASM, R5 tires.

Will disabling TCS be faster? I never thought of that... I just used all the default settings that came with the car. I am going to try it later without TCS :scared:

Did a 5:13.564 with Nissan R89C (I believe) on soft tires, full downforce and nitrous set at 43.

I think on a blinder it will go under 5:10

I saved the 'session record' screen for proof - is that acceptable?

Also, I am new here, and I wondered how to post to the fastest lap section. I surfed around, but no luck posting?

thanks in advance for any help

got my minolta toyota round in 5 minutes 28 seconds , this was with a ps2 controller my best time with the 900 degree logitech wheel is 8:02 in an bmw m3 csl and i plan on going quicker! 👍

I did a 6:29 with a 'stock' ( ) XR8 Falcon Race Car (meaning direct from the Australian Cars showroom, no new upgrades). TCS and ASM off using the Driving Force Pro. 👍

It is my favourite car in the game, it absolutely flies and sounds great 👍 ;)

Good for u mate, thats an impressive time, well done. My fav car would have to be the minolata, I can do a 4'59.265 (ds2, tcs on, asm OFF) in arcade mode

Some times of mine. All cars are in original state, no tuning or whatever. Only the ASM is different sometimes than the default settings. With the Group C cars I had the ASM Oversteer at 2, and the ASM Understeer at 10.:)

How do you do that??? Wow.. That's 51 secs faster than me in my 787B...:embarrassed: Okay, I can be quicker than the 5m50 but still... Still have to try it with the Minolta though.:)

The "Under 5 min Club" is always impressive, with any car. But your 5m50 time isn't so bad since you had no tuning (I am assuming you were driving a stock car).

With the Minolta, all I did was:

(1) Add a Stage 4 Turbo that gives an extra ~200 HP
(2) Slap on four Super-Soft (R5) tires and it grips like a rocket on rails
(3) Tune the gear ratio a bit to hit over 385 km/hr (240 mph) on straights
(4) Tune down the TCS a bit for better acceleration

With a stock car, I did 5'43
With the above tuning, I did 5'12

The next item for me to tune is the suspension... especially for Nurburgring since the road it is so bumpy. Then there is still ASM, toe and camber... and... and...

I think times like these are far more interesting...

So far some of my best times:
Honda s2000 Type V ´03 7'02.329
BMW Z4 ´03 7'04.092
BMW M Coupé ´98 7'32.392
Mazda MX-5 1800 RS ´04 7'38.417
VW Polo GTI ´01 7'46.931

The cars are set up similar, with R3/R4-tires, no NOS, no "Rigidity", no Turbo only N/A-tuned and no Downforce.

Pleace try to beat these times it would be fun to see how they would stand in competition 👍 .

Ooh 💡 ... and none of these times have been done with any form of "assistance" :sly:

I did it too, but in Gran turismo mode, not using NOS. 4"59.2

BTW i was hiting like 4"57 or 56 many times...but, got mistake in the end of the lap. It can be improved A LOT.

Everybody, let's set up a friendly competition! :) Lets agree on a car, any car, upgrade, tune it, do anything you want to it, EXCEPT you can't add any HP enhancments (e.g. NA tuning, turbos, nitrous).

I recommend a car that is not too fast so that we can concentrate on the perfect racing line, braking points, etc.

So... any takers? Car recommendation? How about the Nissan 350Z that we see in the "Ending Movie"?

Im interested :) , how about a light roadster, FR, no turbo???

Sounds good... please pick something, and link a screenshot of it. Give me a few choices. Here is a good LINK for screenshots.

Well to make it cheap and fun, why not a used miata(MX-5) anyone of them cause they are all quite similar when it comes to hp/weigt.
The old ones are very light and small but still pack quite a lot of bhp.
The newer ones are a bit bigger and heavier but got some more bhp.

How about that? :)

I was thinking something a bit more powerful. Since this is a Germany track, how about the BMW 320i Touring Car. It is available to everyone for purchase, and is relatively cheap:

True, but it isn't something achievable for beginners, it isnt that amusing to drive :indiff: and it's quite to jumpy for "Nürb" :ill:

How about setting up some boundarys, like max 2000cc, N/A, FR, min 1000kg/2000pounds, no tuningcar, no racecar, maybe "used only"???
What do u think?
I'm open for suggestions. :)

Let's start a competition! :dopey:

Send in your best times with cars that apply to this regulations:
max 3000cc, only N/A no Turbo
FR or 4WD, no MR or FF
min 1000kg or 2000pounds
not unique, not racecar or tuningcar
no Rotary and you have to be able to race it in basic events, not cars like the Caterham 7.

Used or new, whatever you prefer.

Besides these rules, you may never use NOS :grumpy: but besides that you can tune it however you want :) .
Good Luck!
(and please reply! :) )

Further regulations may appear in time.

Please select and attach the links/screenshots to the car(s) you want to use. Please be specific what you want to use. I prefer something that look nice too! 👍 The BMW I suggested was only 260 HP. It is "cheap" too. It only cost $450,000. That's not a lot of money, is it? I think you'll have that if you are even 10% into the game.

Well, I just testdrove that car, and I do not find it amusing what so ever on any corse :yuck:
Come on, there has to be some other rules or regulations we can agree on?!?!

I don't think we are on the same wavelength. I am suggesting that we pick ONE car and we all drive the SAME car to see who will have the fastest time.

I don't want people posting times based on "regulations" because people will end up choosing different cars, and we would not be comparing apples-to-apples. For example, I did pretty well with the Toyota Minolta, so I was interested to see how other people did with the SAME car. I searched for "Minolta" and was able to compare my results. I wanted to compare personal achievement, but not between different cars.

Can you suggest a specific car for the competition. Tell me what you want to use, and I'll use the SAME car. I am not looking for a list of regulations. Be SPECIFIC please. I don't want to hijack this thread for our personal discussions, so lets make this quick, or let's just forget it and we'll just agree to disagree :guilty:

Thanks.

Hmmm... well, I guess your right :indiff:
I'll try my best with the 320i and post back later
